I have friends
I have family
I have everything i need
But yet i do not feel forfilled
I feel alone and isolated
Though i talk to people everyday
I feel like a captured animal
Waiting to be slaughtered
But i am as free as a bird
Flying the streets
I know i am loved
But not my the one person that seems to hold my happiness and life in his hands
His memory and my taled lies eco inside my mind
Ring havick within my life
Strangling me of any form of
'normality'
i wish i could have let it go. i wish i still could.
i can only wish.

Deep within my soul
Whirls a dark corner
Blinks of my teary eyes
Shows its true owner

Wrapped with rooted claws
Yet, my appearance so neat
A prison out of reach so deep
Even my heart quivers to beat

My soul aches in pain
Upon the dark eclipse rise
I've been fighting this a lot
But now all stir in lies

I'll soon be a different kind
Strapped in with black cord
For my soul is captive
In the realms of the Dark Lord

I am powerless and confused
Walking with an empty head
I do not know myself now
I think, I am already dead...

Just a poem.

I caught a butterfly, I kept it trapped within a jar,
it soared to the lid; it wasn't high, I never let it go too far.
I caught a butterfly, I wished for it to be my pet,
but without fresh air it was bound to die, a lesson I still forget.

I caught a butterfly, she was grazing over green grass,
together we watch time go by, together we see the days pass.
I caught a butterfly, to this day I still thank my net,
but with too much sun it's wings will fry, a lesson I still forget.

Life is not meant to be,
lived out as on display,
as that butterfly was once me,
now it's another's soul today.

I caught a butterfly, fresh out of her cocoon,
she barely chanced to fly, she never glimpsed sun nor the moon.
I caught a butterfly, I believed it was luck that we met,
but wings waving can mean hello or goodbye, a lesson I still forget.

Life is not meant to be,
locked up and put away,
it belongs with the air of a tree,
under blue skies or grey.

I caught a butterfly, I was excited to show everyone,
what you can grasp if you try, what can actually be done.
I caught a butterfly, and it's life's days are now just a bet,
I can't even look myself in the eye, it's a lesson I can't forget.

Life is not meant to be,
observed from far away,
we all deserve to live free,
and free we all should stay.

gossamer thin net
of her enticement she casts,
at willing captive.

fog thickens
blurs

casting doubt
on liquid thought

spread thin
on winds of haste

circling sleeping
curse

- while sun shines
beyond -

nil attainment
stalled on whim

whirls in maelstrom's
captive cold

spawning ill will
fed by guilt

shame's icy tongue
curls

- while sun shines
beyond -

spreading gifts
unfelt

waiting to be
held

lest frigid
clouds

shroud
golden
smile
frustration when day after day lovely winter sun is missed due to inside work, procrastination or general stalling on life's golden opportunities

I would rather be dying on a forest floor,

Then to be behind bars that hold me captive.

Across a million faces
in a thousand different places
I find you in blossoms of flowers
like am a captive of your magical powers
I find you in the depth of my heart
even if we are completely worlds apart
in cold days mocked by soothing patters of rain
pattering right above the echo of my pain
I see you here with my eyes shut
in the emptiness, as my mind is dead alert

I hear your voice in whispers of the wind
maybe you're invisible to me since love's blind
you might be right here as well, trapped to this moment
on the same wave at war in the torrent of torment
bearing painful blisters of regret from burns of desire
enduring stifling emotions that won't retire
reeking of an excellently brewed obsession  that won't expire
and since you were my breath I can hardly respire
even the hardest of scotch and wines couldn't lift me higher
out of the abyssal deep doldrums of this mire

I smell your scent of roses at night beneath my sheets
and as I walk feeling isolated along these crowded streets
at every single thought about you my confused heart beats
while in my palm where your fingers fitted, cold emptiness slits
I see you in the hovering birds of prey as they bask in the sky
flamboyantly spreading their vast wings as they fly
under the sweltering haze of Sun where I burn for you
in recollection of your entrancingly licentious sigh

*everywhere I go, in different places
I see you masked upon a million faces
I feel you in the roseate blossom of flowers
in every second of every minute of my hours
for am still a captive of your enchanting powers

Time's embrace has captured me
held me captive
where none can see
the bonds, the scars, the pain I feel--
but me and TIME both know
that it's all too real
and some day soon
I might escape to freedom again
away from this misfortune and doom
of an empty and dreadfully ink-less pen.#
A lot going on. Hard to write...

Your tongue was a leash, and it had held me captive for far too long.
Don't let people's words stop you from being you. You are your OWN person! And you are amazing.
Sometimes I forget for an instant
who we are.
In those moments where:
I hold your head in my lap and brush my hands through your hair.
You hold me captive against you under the freezing stream of water in the shower.
I watch the lights dance across your face as we drive through small towns late at night.
You stand behind me in the kitchen next to the stove, strewing kisses across my back,
my shoulders, my neck.

In those moments you are everything. You are mine.
And she doesn't exist.
because my heart hurts. and because I ****. and because I’m stupid and I’m crazy about someone that isn’t mine.
