We did it!
Saved the city
I call my home
But...
It doesn't feel familiar
Did we forget to
Put something back?
Cortal Avenue
Not the same
We won
So why am I not
Proud?
It's time to celebrate
All I can ponder
Is the next challenge ahead
Without another
How will we grow?
Sometimes though
I wish it would stop
No more trials
Peace, come to me
I don't want to win
Instead
Give me a haven
Reject the legends
I accept tranquility
I can live with purpose
I can use my mind and will
Each action made with power
Makes me centered, calm, and still

When I live with purpose
I can navigate my life
Increasing love and happiness
And minimizing strife

As I live with purpose
I prosper in all I do
My purpose brings me strength
To ever begin anew

Fresh out of the shower,
with a towel hugging my skin,
I lay on my bed,
staring up at the ceiling,
Feeling as wet hair turns hard,
and skin becomes dry,
and somehow
everything in the world
seems to be okay

Pain teaches us
about storms
and their power of sweeping away

The lesson that, only when the old and unecessary
is gone
a new calmness can take it’s place

Be like the Ocean - majestic, serene, resilient;
Accepting all, rejecting none.

Calm, Vast, Ageless, Timeless, Guileless:
Unto that source where all rivers become One.
The majesty and calm of the ocean has had a humbling effect on me,  each time I witnessed the ocean.

It is said that the ocean is the true source of all rivers.  All major human settlements right from Egyptian, Indus Valley Civilization were borne on river banks. Thus,  rivers have sustained humanity since forever.

The source of all rivers,  it is said by the learned, in reality,  is the ocean: the ocean might also be their destination.

I dream of a day when our hearts become as large as that of the ocean,  free of discrimination and deceit,  full of acceptance with no exception.

Like snow on the rails
Trampled leaves on the grounded trees
Fleeing light
Familiar scent well known
And the lasting stars you cannot always see
But are still there
The wait is having
My heart a quiet rustle in the summer breeze
Just go and live
Be it amongst noise or fog
As you hold not a single familiar scent or sound
Over me
You are winters cold
And your crackling quiet frustrates me
Just go
Please
Yup - My own well practiced consistencies are not always kind to others.

a well liked man is a well cut ham,

bodies sitting around the dinner table,

the smell of salted snacks, cheap beer, and wine,

sibilance of love and reflection to pass the time,

curvature of lips in an upward spiral,

soft eyes, relaxed muscles,

sitting.

the wise lady walks in,

time to toss the sin,

a prayer for rainbows in stormy weather,

a prayer the same goes through with a warming sweater,

many minds converge as one,

to speak and think of love,

for one another.
To my wonderful grandparents and the teachings of love they have shown me over the years. Thank you.

flowering, blossoming, blooming
yet again
a new story growing in front of me
slow, steady like a snail in a garden
peaceful and calm
exactly what i needed

so similar yet so different,
so easy to understand, yet i am still wondering
exciting , mysterious and holding me oh so tight
like warm rays of sun your presence is just
healing

connection as deep as roots, a new bond is formed
mother earth and father time
and you have it all
if you so choose
to take
it
