Sipping the air of a city night
So heady in the cold
On the move under static lights
Little worlds about
To collide

Gravity frivolity
Draw broken hearts like earth bound stars
As the pull of every
Small storied point holds others back
From abysses beneath
Dark waters

Lone souls each and all
Compose this metropolis
Joy is to be
Discovered in insignificance
Where together
We belong
Three poets walked into a bar. These are some thoughts that emerged.

you may belong WITH him,
but you'll always belong TO yourself.

they tell me
people need to belong
somewhere
but they can't tell me
why i don't feel like
i'd belong
anywhere

i guess
i am
too alien for earth,
still
too human for outer space

"Would you like to be mine ?" He questioned with sincerity.

"I would, but before being yours I'd like to be mine." She answered.

A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side.

The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman.

Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his
journey.

The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.

Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk could contain himself any longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?”

The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”
holding onto resentments when the only person we are really hurting is ourselves.

These are the hands that will guide you to greatness,
These are the hands that will stay through the years,
These are the hands that will celebrate good times,
And these are the hands that will wipe away tears.

These are the hands that will love you forever;
When you are weak they will help you feel strong,
And, right now, since these hands are entwined together
These hands are precisely where they belong
Recently I was asked to write and perform a hand-binding wedding ceremony for two of the loveliest people I know while I was dressed as a dragon. It's definitely one of the best things I've ever done, and I doubt I'll ever do anything like it again! This is the poem I wrote for the special moment.

You’re the only water I wouldn't mind drowning in.
You’re the only drug I’ll keep overdosing on.
You’re the cliff I won’t mind jumping over.
You’re the most poisonous element that I will gladly inhale till I suffocate.
Your hands are the hanger I’ll wrap around my neck with, nothing but a euphoric rush filling every cell in my body.
You’re the gun and I’ll empty all your bullets straight into my brains..

You are my favorite suicide method.

and if the stars could align in a way to form a constellation that resemble her smile, or shine in that same way her eyes does, something in my chest will ache and by then i will realize the presence of a heart in me. and when i listen closely i'll hear a beat that sounds exactly like the sound of her voice.
its not the stars,
its not me.
its her.
she does that to me.
her presence assures you that its all alright, that you are going to be just fine because she's by your side. and when her hand touches yours, all your problems will fade away and your mind will finally shut up. your only thought would be a wish that she'll never let you go. and if theres any good in all of this bad in me, then its thanks to her. she does that to me.
