matted hair and ***** clothes
her eyelashes have fallen off
the cracks in her porcelain
will never fade
her limbs have almost fallen off
tears falling from glass eyes

she was truly a woman scorned
broken and left to rot
deemed too improper
to love right

Call me your seaside goddess
your riviera darling
I'm made of honey
and saltwater and lavender
I won't stay for long
I have to leave soon

But I'll live forever
in your memories
My demonic charms
will haunt you forever
Danielle Rayn Apr 2016
graying hair and rotting teeth
worms will feast on you soon
clouded eyes looking through clouded windows
sad face remembering happy memories
leather skin and deep wrinkles
try not to despair

do you even remember?
when you were young and happy
running through fields
rolling through grass hills
go back to it now
*let the pain dissipate

Such pretty eyes
filled with bloodlust
and I know I should leave
but you're so much fun

you make me feel so alive
like electricity surging through water
and I know we're gonna die
*but there's so much laughter

In the swimming pool all day
submerged in shimmering water
floating to the bottom
swimming through the depths
honey colored limbs
moving in slow motion
saltwater doesn't hurt my eyes
I keep them open to see the sun
I feel warm and safe
I am finished

small secrets
whispered under the covers
candle wax and promises
you will keep forever
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
faery wings and pixie dust
cake with milk
all eaten up
sneaking a lick of honey
and rich butter
I'll never grow up and wither
I refuse

He hides in the shadows
blinded by her light
she pretends not to see him
pretends she's forgotten
but he knows
she'll never forget
the nights she spent in the shadows
the nights she spent with him
her light is artificial,
white and blinding
he knows she is lying
to herself, to everyone

she want's to be in the shadows
she wants to forget the light
but she stays where she is
and so does he.

He thought she would stay
but she was smoke
dancing from his cigarette
entangling herself in his lungs
he could not hold her
she left swiftly and softly
flitting away through his exhale

rough hands covered in blood
praying you have a cut
as you wash and scrub
until your skin is raw
but it wasn't yours
who's blood was it?
I don't care
I know you do.
try not to look anyone in the eye
ignore the heartbeats
Danielle Rayn Apr 2016
You hurt me so easily
I'm miserably weak
my soft skin tears
like olive toned paper
I cry too easily
big crocodile tears
why don't you love me?
why do you not care for me?
