As to the times and the seasons
As to men and their reason
For though things suddenly come
Whether be demons or the glorious son
We do not thrive in darkness
We were not made for the night
To us stars, angels, harken
You are the children of light

Oscillating between
The known and unknown
More unknown we have
Speculations and hypotheses
Trying to make it believable
Greater part of reality
Cloaked in anonymity
Wonder, when truth shall
Reveal it all

Ok so I wanted to find a way to learn more about felloe poets here on HP. But I know not everyone likes to write long detailed information so.... I'd like you to write a 10(I will accept up to 20 but prefer 10) word poem describing yourself with one of these 4 elements Earth, Air, Fire and Water.

If you would like it to be easily found please use the tag #elementchallenge

I will write one aswell :) lets see those creative minds in action

There was a time my mind and heart
had its freedom
to wander aimlessly through the days
but then I started walking the road of life,

up and down mountains, hills, and valleys,
stumbled and fell more times than I can count,
hit more dead ends and had to start over

I always walked the road alone!

I came across the ocean,
there my feelings built on sand castles as
the tide comes in, they disappear
one grain at a time til nothings left
the waves crashing all my defenses.
Rushing out of safe harbors...

My life is gone, washed away on
seas of regret,
what lies ahead when it all lies behind
but the memories?

Will I have the strength left to wipe the tears
from my eyes,
as I come to the end of the road?

The road I've walked alone!

We are asking questions
In the ambit of falsity
Where we hear an echo
From the walls
That restricts us to venture
Into the world beyond
Leaving us with unanswered questions
Some replies from a trajectory
Not aligned to us
Creating a conflict
And warring minds
Cannot be at peace
Until we scale the challenges
Created by us

Alone we maybe not
Not even with ourselves
There may be
Another you, within
Covered with outer you
Feelings of
sadness
loss
fear
dereliction
challenges
We get some directions
On how to react to such situations
Or, runaway from danger
Inner voice comes from the soul
Encased by our outer being
To hide from the regular world
So, is there a duality?
One to face the world outside
Another to negotiate inner world
Who has immense awareness
Beyond our regular understanding
We often have a one-to-one
Wonder, who replies
Is this a missing link
The chasm between our outer and inner world
Stretching between the abyss
This piece maybe a little outrageous and preposterous. But, this just now clicked my mind and sharing with you, all.

"Tales of gothic horror and romance feed on our darkest fears and desires"
said the dimly lit figure.
Sat by the fire, obscured by shadow,
I would have sworn it my doppelgänger.
Tell me your darkest secret and I'll tell you mine.
Tell me your story before the bells chime.
For when the bells ring we'll be out of time.
What is your darkest fear?
What is your darkest desire?
Pray tell me so that I can put out this quizzical fire.
I'm not a threat, neither good nor bad,
just nosy is all, looking to learn
seeking a spirit to join mine, I just yearn.
Damsels in distress, ruinous castles, cathedral spires tall
I've seen them all.
Brooding heroes, twilight trysts,
even the odd slick, slit wrist.
But hurry tell me what do you yearn?
For your telling I will return and I promise you life eternal.
Just sign your name binding our game

It doesn't even matter anymore
If I exist or not
Or if I'm at death's door
I've knocked on it eleven times and hopefully twelve times a charm
What's the ******* harm?
I'll be gone
Just another life that did not matter
Just another soul buried in the ground
The one you said had a face that was round
The one you said had a heart that was proud
And a spirit so stunning and loud
I was never one meant to live so long
My fate was a song
A song sung from the me inside
I've accepted I'm not good enough
I've accepted the way the world is, but I can't seem to take it cause it drives me mad
And that
That is what shortens my fate
My fate to die
I'll wonder what death's arms feel like and how much Hell scorches in my veins for internity

My body is like the winter
Not cold, but barren
My heart is like a snow storm
Not only freezing, but icy chaos
My soul is like the winter

In the vast corners of the room was a telephone that read broken. Poets are really deep because they can turn nothing into something. To me, the telephone meant that us as our generation have broken communication. We get rid of our problems over text like ending a relationship or quitting a job.

I'm the outcast of society
In reality
I'm the soul that has been set free
They put me down and shut me out
My only wish is that the whole world
could grasp what I'm about
