"banning" poems
The shortest distance between two points of travel. The fastest method for achieving a result. Quickest answer for a resolution. Marrying equals.   All terminology meaning essentially the same thing; synthesis. That is what the two-party system is meant to be doing. It is the point of checks and balances. A check is a stopgap. A balance is a measure.   No one wants to ban personal firearms. No one wants mentally-ill people to own them. No one advocates violence by school teachers to assuage future potential violence. No reasonable person wants children to grow up in a police state school system. No American believes that State and Federal government can agree on what should be done in all states.   We will not be arming teachers. Nor will we be banning guns. There will never be armed guards at public schools. States and the Federal government disagree on so many levels there will never be consensus on change when it comes to this issue. So, change the issue in a way that offers a stopgap as a measure.   The President of The United States issues a proclamation that all land directly adjacent to the front of all public schools will be bought by the federal government at today's market price. That price will be fixed provided the states do two things. Use state eminent domain laws(every state already has them) to file a claim on said properties and assess the value thereof for the federal government.   Secondly, establish police precincts on said property.     Ask yourself; "How many children would die if the local police were directly across the street from the school at the time of the shooting?" And, "Would Conservatives or Liberals be against this proposal?"    Also, We should all remember that these shooters plan their attacks and would have to plan around the police being there immediately after they begin one.   Problem solved...                              ...and no one touched a gun(right) to do it.

***** Hands Are they clean? Pontius Pilate, washing those hands that night, now are the filthy deeds made white! America, do tell about the politicians blind-eyed toward homeless people in the streets, tell me about children starving to death? Does a wealthy man cleanse hiimself as the blood leaves his hands? Banning guns & glocks, as girls are sold into slavery, in the blocks. A gift for kids to go to school It's not a gift to get shot up. From poverty to bullies to school shootings, Mrs. Liberty has lost her footing. When we go home, locking doors and turning the noise up, is washing of the hands with soap, making us whole?

A Four day concert, created by Roberts, Rosenman,  Kornfeld, and Lang Was originally supposed be a three-day  music festival, and up it sprang But the citizens of citizens of Wallkill, N.Y. did not want their nice quiet town filled With drugged up hippies that would overrun, and with this idea they were not thrilled With many battles and protests, Wallkill passed a law on July 2, 1969 banning The would be concert from going forward leaving the town quite less enchanting Almost not getting off the ground, hippies all over demanding refunds for their tickets Stepping forward, Max Yasgur offered his 600-acre dairy farm so no one would picket The new location for the Woodstock Festival would be Bethel, New York No one from the other town would not have complaints or come uncorked Despite the many problems of people threatening to quit Woodstock got off the ground despite things still being chit This concert was poorly planned with two major setbacks, as news spread that it was free There were congestion of cars that policeman had to turn away, for as far as one could see Organizers lost huge amounts of money while hippies walked through gates without paying But it was estimated that 500,000 people made it to the concert and they came in swaying The music seemed to play non-stop as people sat and listened and some would play It was very muddy from all the rain of what it did from much of the concert everyday Listening to greats such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Sweetwater Can’t forget, Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Jefferson Airplane and Ten Years After The concert ended and picking up the pieces began, that wasn't just the trash that was left behind It was the lawsuits that many filed against the organizers since beginning to end put many in a bind The greatest music festival in history later put to a movie that is divine Something that will forever be talked about from the summer of 1969 Copyright 2013 All Rights Reserved

That's it. It's done. "My ancestors did that not me!" Get over it, **** it up, don't you dare take a knee "I have a few black friends so its ok if I say the N word" Stabbed in the heart from injustices' sword. Another beating from a sheet and ain't a **** thing Uncle Sam is gonna do about it. Declaring that we're equal but I get the feeling that Brian has more rights then Daquan. In the eyes of the law there’s no such thing as one. Putting up walls and banning my siblings. Meanwhile Brian just put two caps in his neighbor's kid's chest. A few years max and he's still able to become free and get a check. Daquan got caught up selling coke and he's not coming home. Locked in a cage with no light he realizes he's alone. 'Bam' 'Bam' 'Pow' 'Pow' Here lies the body of John Doe, a great man who perished because of the raise of his brow.

I will spread my opinions like a plague, which is exactly how they'll paint them. By "them" I mean the proverbial "they." The ones who will color me as paranoid and insane. They'll say not to listen; to disregard it all. It's the nature of the games they play. They push us to the edge, Then publicize the fall. Do not watch the news. Ignore all commercials. Pursue beauty and truth; embrace the controversial. "Any book worth banning is a book worth reading," so read them all with zest. If you get the feeling that I'm preaching, remember, only you know what is best.

Hatred isn't always knives and guns aimed at hearts Sometimes it is fiery words in legislation that authorises the building of walls And the banning of free movement Sometimes hate disguises itself as safety and security but really it is still just hate

So many times I have heard ''It's not a crime to love'' ''I love I love and there's no law against it'' so then why is it treated that way? I want him to hold his boyfriend's hand and not be scared of their words like handcuffs I want her to kiss her girlfriend's lips with her eyes closed for once not looking around the busy Sunday streets at who is staring I want their bodies to blend just like everyone else's free from laws free from prohibition and hatred, disgust simply for gender because hey look they both wear makeup or they're both in dresses they met whilst playing on the all-male football team when they were born their baby showers were themed blue when really, gender is not a colour just like love is not a gender and no love-banning law will make love a criminal act It's not a crime to think their skin is made of constellations it's not a crime to feel warmth in your bones when they're lying beside you it's not a crime to kiss them with passion so intense it makes your own heart fleet to your stomach And I don't want to live in a world where the crime is not in the bloodied fist of the attacker or the cruel words spat from their mouth but in the man with the red river gushing from his nose simply because he gave his heart to another man

There is a bankrupt government Down in Washington D.C A petty despot is presiding from sea to shining sea. The Senate is dysfunctional The House perhaps is worse- Obsessed with banning *** acts That they hadn't thought of first. They furloughed the non- essentials- Eight hundred thousand out the door. Had they looked around the chamber They could find five hundred more! They’ll be no negotiations As they fight over the purse We’ll pay fines or buy insurance Affordable care-my *** A President elected Largely based upon his skin Will be followed by a woman With more baggage than an INN A bigger group of hypocrites I hope never to see Than this Congress full of Baboons Posturing on T.V.

Banning the Hijab, Yellow Vests and thought, has brought the wrath of Karma on the French Colonialists. Yemen, Syria. Échafaudages d'incendie.
Someone to hold, is that not really your true desire seeing the title of this poem, you came to inquire subconsciously you need to have, an outlet to deal emptiness confines you, refusing to accept it's real Closing your eyes, and trying to do your very best hoping to get a handle, on the level of your stress but your attempts fail, forcing you to admit defeat loneliness and depression, pounding your heartbeat You speak with your friend, in whom you trust seeing you're desperate, she's coming she must a half hour passes, standing now by your side crying to her your woes, with nothing to hide Your chance for true love, how you felt it so close naivety and desperation, you took a double dose now he is gone, these days seem to pass as years a heart so crushed, yielding her flow of wet tears What you are left with, a pain so endlessly deep there is no escape, but counting sheep in your sleep while you paid a price that was ever so steep realizing your only friend is the hope you keep Tomorrow will yet burn with a special, warm light new hope will bring with it a chance to make right happiness will yet reign, banning sadness out of sight that someone special, forever to hold you tight A loving look, accompanying that warm embrace a way into his heart, finally finding your true place bound with a oneness that only loving hearts could feel no longer asking, because you know, you just know it's real

Just Someone To Hold
THEY claim that their laws protect the rights and lives of women and children that’s why they criminalize women's rights over their bodies children's rights for knowledge of their history, basic sexuality, etc. and a safe school environment banning books on global warming and *** education from libraries over 200 mass shootings with 264 deaths in the first five months of this year strongly suggest that information and the right over your body are not what’s killing people yet THEY are unable to react with tighter gun laws praying for the victims and their families does not prevent the next shooting dangerous signs of political and ethical impotence

Killing has become too easy and life has become too cheap. Many put the blame on an implement and not the person who wields it. Banning a thing never works as it causes it to be wanted more and enriches those who do not regard the law. The teaching of morality is our failure. The idea of civil discourse has been replaced with a selfish nature as the lesson of the day. Only when we accept that we are our own worst enemies and stop Blaming an object for our actions, will we begin to resolve our problems without violence and come to realize that guns aren't the problem.

Guns aren't the problem
Lifted from the river of routine Wring from me, the wetness of weary Let me dry upon the soil of desire I stand in fields formed by the fantastic On each vine I spy Time growing ripe and restless Hearts swelling in soft feeling Laughter long and lasting And everything is in abundance So I **** pluck, pick Accumulating these unclaimed riches And bottle them into wine A thousand bottles I store Then the fine liquid touches my tongue Delight dances upon the taste buds And I’m wealthy, in love, in time, in laughter For years I do this Learning nothing new or worthy Banning all knowledge For even a single frayed book Could disturb All of this Bliss
