I’ll bloom in spring
Alongside the Californian hills.
When the rain paints
The terrain green
With speckled white wildflowers,
I’ll tiptoe on sunlight
to touch the sky.
I’ll be the brightest star
They’ve yet to discover.
Shooting, shining, falling,
And wished upon.
Dry land, crispy and brown
Underneath my feet on
A winter night.

The air is cold.
But I don't notice.
Because as I walk across the frozen lake,
I know I can't afford
to make a mistake.
The longer I look
At the fish that swim below,
A feeling grows inside me.
It's not fear.
But fascination.
We always say we wish
Time would slow.
And walking on water
Makes me realize it does.
We just don't notice.

if my wishing for myself makes you insecure,
then baby you need to fall in love
with yourself rather than chasing
someone else's 'the one'
choosing yourself should be a trend!

I shake time's grasp with firm shrug
Before I know it
Again feel its tug
Then spit in its face
It spits right back
Taking position on top of my back
I guess we are stuck together for good
Stays longer than I wish it would
I wish that time didnt exist and every moment could be stopped or skipped at our convenience

what did I wish for
at 11:11?

A million things, maybe, but none of them real.
They were barely wishes at all, just half-baked
whispers on this dead tongue.

what wish came true
at 11:11?

None of them, I think, for all of them
were said out loud. My mouth can only hold them
for so long before it bursts.

who heard me speak
at 11:11?

No one, I think, or everyone.
I can’t be sure (if it matters) who
was still awake.

“I wish,” I said, but I never finished.

what voice wished their half-wishes
at 11:11,
and was quiet again at 11:12.

it's a calm summer night
the clouds parted like a main drape
the scene set

here I am waiting
I've wanted it all to turn out fine

but the stars never seem to be falling for me
maybe it's because
everything else seems to be falling around me

here I am,
screaming, kicking, throwing stones upwards
hoping they will shine when falling back down

but the show takes place on this side of the drape tonight
Hey there, I long for some constructive criticism.

Wishes are not like prayers,
They do not pause to consider,
What is right or what is best.

Wishes don't knock or wait in lines,
Wishes don't recognize borders,
A wish will never worry or stress.

Wishes hear our deepest desires,
Blind to deception and deaf to lies,
Words are wind to these ethereal beings.

Wishes don't gamble or cheat,
They don't understand money at all,
A wish will never pay for anything.

Wishes are stoic, swift, serene,
Subtle as a star in the day, as wind on waves,
Eagles eyes could not catch a wish in flight.

When prayers won't do,
If hope has no chance,
Wish for a wish,
For a wish just might.

Oh how I wish I could be
like the child, who dared to dream
And at least try
to erase the line
That limited these
Thousand wishes of mine.

A gentle kiss for one longed missed. A white dove from above for dearest beloved. My lady has it been a thousand moons; by God's will, I'll see you soon.

Eyes of that of blue moon, what greater sight than bride to groom? In sickness and in health so shall this be. In poorness and in wealth stay by me.

From the moment this knot is tied, until the day this man has died; I'll be there to wipe your tears; I'll be there to fight your fears; I'll be there to keep you safe; I'll be there to hold you near.

Whether it be day light or eternal night, you should forever be the apple of my sight.
