The best year of my life
It all blurs together
Into a seamless, funny film
It's an old film, a heartwarming one
There's static on the screen
There's soft French jazz in the background
I'm golden
You're golden
It's all golden
This is the only way I can see the past year
It was a massive wave of change,
A wave that brought you in,
And has kept you here
This has been the best year

12:00 a.m.
Now it's over,
And you're still here.

I am a mighty wave,
unfurling my water molecule temple.
I wave, calling the many to see its power.
To take breath and align with oceans scent divine.
To swim allowing waters cool to cleanse and heal.

I am a mighty wave,
dancing upon sacred waters home.
Waving inside grace to tickle eyes and cameras.
To snap and blink for a memory to anchor.
To feel the magi sty that empowers viewer.

I am a mighty wave,
with an undertow that speaks.
Speaking in spinning energies to song of love.
To take breath aligning with allies of earth and sky.
To touch, move, and inspire, as swirling graceful gift.

I am me. I am you.
celebrate the mighty wave
we make.
if surf this morning is seldom slack
when a garter holds up its string

this chuff is fishing that spoonful glimmers
while bait require quinine indelibly
by the sea

where squalk among clouds patrol crowd
that hasten to crack the sound

newly afoot a dock seemingly hottie taut darken wheel has line aboard and always say peekaboo
by the sea
a man has a boat near the sea that  a  dock hasten surf

A scene that's so endemic of life that you've transpired
As you're using your last cigarette to light a burnt out signal fire

The sparks racing along the edge, friction coming to a head
Entertain my thoughts as you remember that this is just a dream

Each and every time it seems is captured in a frame
Pressed down by the hands of time, and left to rot in flame

Underlying uncertainty, left to my insanity
Entertain my thoughts as I tell you that this is all a dream

If I only had some wings
I'd fly right the **** away
If I had the strength to change
I wouldn't change a single thing

Island paradox
To cut my own arms off
Just to survive, a couple minutes more
Slowly wondering
How much I should sleep
when countless options drift right past my door

And I don't think this is  something to change
Deify the death defying lingering fate
Something, leaning on the plans we make
Before we see the high tide begin to abate

Caught up in the rapids, I feel my life drain from me
Pulled in to the raging sea by the current yet unseen

Caught up in the maelstrom, each second of uncertanty
Leaves me catching my breath, but between every breath

Its all fun and games
Then I try and simplify
But all complacence
Leads to every current in my life

There's a light at the end,
The end is near.

I continually pretend
That it is you who I fear.

It's your deep waters that I seek
Where it is only you and me.

I want to explore the fun of your shallow waters, but you keep deceiving me.

There's a burning flame at the end,
The time is near.

Like the serpent underneath the flower, you display a calm and beautiful appearance.

But when it gets deep I experience enormous swells of your deadly wrath - without any escape.

You are the ocean of my love for you and the love-swells never stop crashing over me.

She’s dancing:
Closed eyes,
Open palms ,
Vague smile

She is music;
And sound waves
Are dancing to her

And when she moves
Her clothes are naked;
And when she smiles,
My thoughts are
(words are flaking)

*

She tunes me
To her frequency
Riding waves
Pulling vibes and strings
Charting shores
Wanting replay

Fingers play along as my mind wanders.
Sat up on the deck, the night air pooling in
this position's natural, my back's against the rail
jumper zipped three-quarter way,
knee bent to rest the body.

Fingers line along the frets, as the others sit rosette,
play whatever comes to mind
or they just simply do the walking.
Hum a tune, sing a little ditty
As waves crash in my mind.

Close my eyes, I see it there,
tones of blue flood through.
Stunning rocks they push against
to develop the perfect arch.
Fingers start to slow.

Eyes open, the sun is gone
It's time to go inside.
Off the deck and to my feet
when I noticed you've been listening.
flashed a grin and leaned over
"Can you please play on for me?"
