Speak Slowly Aug 2018
Slowly saving
patiently waiting
email received transaction confirmed
item conceived, time contracted
a gift for one, many or all
a package surely to befall
a package arrives as the sun rises
it finally comes, joy
it fills us as we tear it apart "oh boy!"
help yourself, its ok to treat yourself
again save and order
await the presents that cross borders
happiness from innocent pleasures
isn't that a great treasure

Day 24
Lyn-Purcell Aug 2018
╰⊰✿´ℒ♡ⓥℯ'✿⊱╮
Milk-white, shredded filo dough
spun gossamer-thin
Wrapped nest for pistachio,
almonds, cinnamon
White baked gentle gold
Hot honey
Serve!
╰⊰✿⊱╮
Twenty-first Epulaeryu!
This is a Greek treat I had, it reminds me of Baklava, to be honest, but it's very delicious! ^-^
I'm gonna take these real slow now, headache's playing up...again >.<

Small, sweet milk-white squares
Fresh fruits and nuts chopped
Hazelnuts, pistachios,
cashews, dried cherries
Honeyed-almonds, crunch
So toothsome
Yum!
╰⊰✿⊱╮
Eighteenth Epulaeryu! ^-^
Been a while since I had some good nougat, I love when they add more dried fruits such as apricots. They're my favourite.
My sweet-tooth continues to rage, lool!

Puds are long, vanilla rich
Custard honey-sweet
Poured down from the liquid sun
Caramelised crust
turns nut-brown
and bubbling
Spoon!
╰⊰✿⊱╮
Tenth Epulaeryu! ^-^
I'm not gonna lie,  I liked it! The custard was like honey, very smooth but
I found that it's a bit TOO egg-y for me.
Then again, it could just be the cafe I went to at the time.
I'm open to trying it again, though I admit, I'm not in a rush.
One day! ^-^

Seventh Epulaeryu!
This Italian treat is TO DIE FOR!
***, it's basically a party in my mouth!
I kid you not when I say that the first time I tried this with a friend,
we nearly fainted. Our first food-gasm! ;)
The flavours are  MMMMMM-MMMMM-MMMMM!

Ice cream is sweet and quite the treat
A savory delight I crave at night
At almost any time and any where,
it is worth to desert for this dessert.
Some keep it vanilla while others want a twist.
Sometimes it's good to mix or other wise switch.
Maybe you're *****; can't resist other flavored dishes?

What if you were denied it or could no longer find it?
*** how I'd crave its taste, but at least I'd lose weight.
Other substitutes are lame and aren't quite the same.
Regardless, I would survive and still be able to thrive.

Why is *** so different?

It's a biological need you'll probably say,
so you, can't compare the two.

I disagree completely.

Though we'd all prefer not to be lacking,
it's not as if we'd die for wanting.
Additionally, people have lived ascetically
and have been perfectly fulfilled and happy.
Those kinds of people aren't born that way,
but rather we are conditioned to be *** crazy.
We are made to feel as if
we are measured by who or how many we've been with.
It is validation we truly desire
and to know we always matter.
And though *** is one of life's greatest gifts,
it does not give your life an overarching bliss.

Sweet treat left upon the pavement
A sweltering, bereft mess becoming sticker.
I wish to scoop you up,
Stuff your blue shell back into
Your crinkly wrapper, all done up
In a pale green so dapper.
In a pale green so dapper, was the line that got stuck in my head.

do?
dew?
Honey
Honey see,
Honey( do/dew)
Honey do or Honeydew?
do seduces with toxic meats
dew attracts bees for its sweets
do concocts Jesus's Last Feast
dew provides succulent treats
Forsaking he who loved thee
But he can't forgive like He,
or ascend to golden streets
Honey do or Honeydew?
Are you Act or are you Fruit?

The night was crisp as it can be in Autumn
A young boy I was, reaping candies around
For it was the night of the dead, a spooky sound
That buzzed in the air, an unearthly festive scare!

Full of youthful vigor and an energy unmatched
I ran into the darkness, in my hand, treats latched
In an alley unbeknownst to few in this town
A hazy figure stood, giving way to a stare down
It became clear that this was a fellow classmate
Who was well known for his wild, exuberant ways

Whoosh! We both see the reckless verve in our eyes
Whoosh! We run towards each other within great speed
In perfect synchronization, we tackled each other
Down the ground, like wolf pups we howled
Wrestling each other in true celebration
For this was truly an intense night of elation
About a halloween experience I had as a kid
