Pen in hand ink hasn't flown yet.
Deep in thoughts, deep in my head.
Smoke rings flow out on a coarse set.  Ironic,It twists into a delicate infinity,
Then slowly fades away.
My mind is now empty,
My thoughts all astray.
Sometimes you just need a cigarette

I have wandered among these sidewalks for lifetimes,
I have made a home out of busy sidewalks and small patches of dying grass
I meander with past friends in the middle of empty roads,
With no destination in mind.

I’ve lived amongst thousands of others,
We pass each other daily
Greeting each other with shy smiles and a brief nod
To part and never unite again

I have interacted with this city through the earth
I walk its roads until I can no longer feel my legs,
And I shall continue
Until I have mapped out every inch of my home

This city consists of my raw emotions;
I will always carry this city with me

No matter which new streets I may roam,
No matter which new sidewalks I may take solace in.

forget me not
goodnight not goodbye.

Scattered across the blue sea
Is where your find me,

My spirit enmeshed in tides of serenity
My body floating free in ripples of harmony
My heart deep in love swimming around forever being lost in your soul,

Within your spirit I live
Within your spirit I laugh
Within your spirit I love,

It's very tranquil here
Under the flowing waters my spirit grows dispersed like seaweed
Moving with the timeless waves
Amongst the glittery stars as my ancestors watch over me
and where ever you are,

The crescent moons also my guide
The sun's my warmth
And you always my light,

I'M A PEACEFUL SPIRIT NOW

A cool wind blows
Reminding those of the passing time,
With the setting sun aglow.

I love slow,
not snailish,
random acts,
but where one is
relieved, revealed

in their yawn and
stretching of limbs,
a little scratch
in the ribs,
stomach

like an animal
absently fluffing
up fur...
a spread of charm,
wayward hair

strand curled
curled to a spiral,
deep guttural sigh
of a woman asleep
over her lush hair

or walking quietly
under the trees
trance-gazing
a stray cotton seed,
helicoptering dry leaf,

squirrel run...
I love slow,
gentle sidestep
dance to it,
revolve of

lissome waist to music,
liquid spread
in a hot pan,
still breath
between kisses

sea waves licking
up the feet,
slithering afar,
time nibbling
away...

What of the sea,
that lends its tacit form,
as druids of the night
that heaves a heavy shore?

Might I clamor it's doldrum manner
sink to its floor and stir
lively the depths, the mines
of it's will,

bring to shallows an unbridled storm,
the waking eye,
a trembling fist
and rage to the very heart
-- the tempest!

No, when far more a soul thrives
in the calm breaths
of its peaceful sigh.

Drifting down,
From the heavens above.
Neither an end,
Nor a beginning.

Bringing peace,
And tranquility.
To those who watch,
And wait.

Listen,
And you'll hear their song.
Quiet and undisturbed,
Forever patient.

Just look to the sky,
There you'll see.
The little snowdrops,
That forever sing to me.

The sky, a plate
in kindly blue,
smooth
as the ceramic face
of this, my swimming pool;

the bobbing palm
glazing the back
of my starfish shape
like white liquid icing;

sweet, the water's after-taste;
gently
pungent smell lodged
in the nape of my neck

I will wash the blue
off my skin, in a tiled doll-box
cubicle
I will smell the smell fade
out of my fizzled wet-strung hair
just as sugar dissipates
into the hot
nothingness of drinks.

I will pretend to forget,
then forget
I was offered a plate
in a summery shade, bordered by
tree branches
I was in that half
amniotic vessel -
weightless

as a seed pearl in
an ocean or a lover
exhaling in the depths
of a kiss;

a posy of
air on liquid.
