Missing the old hues,
fades through use,
bottom's up
and never down,

got no branches to hold,
please let me know when it is not cold

this was not about one ***,
that breaks someone's heart too low

above all the rainbows in the town,
it was hard to left your soul behind

knowing all the memories were left unkind,
maybe part of it blown my mind,
wishing tears were buried inside the eyes,
til time went old, now I shred and choose to be blind

Love and emptiness
The tragic we pursue
Kate S Apr 2019
Once upon a midnight, when the moon was full,
They stared into each other's eyes and knew that they were whole.
Once upon a midnight, they shared a blissful kiss,
Something that they knew they would someday miss.
Once upon a midnight, surrounded by the dark,
They promised to love each other and never be apart.
Once upon a midnight, the sky was dark and gray,
They could no longer take it and their love started to fray.
Once upon a midnight, they loved each other so,
But the love they had was not enough to fight the shadow.
Once upon a midnight, the clouds covered the stars,
And now all that's left are the ugly scars.

you have to learn to outgrow things without it breaking you
you'll revisit memories and places like old friends
and the most beautiful thing will be the way you've changed, when other things have stayed the same
certain pieces of your life are only meant for seasons
certain people, too
there's a melancholy beauty in walking away
let them go, with a soft kind of ruthlessness
endings don't have to be tragedies

There's an invisible monster,
Who's holding me in its shackles.
And we share a great bond,
Not the one meant to be broken.
I'm a puppet, with anger as the strings
And he's my master, controlling me from within.
I'll never let it go, because I adore him so
And he's forever with me, even if I want to let it go.
It's about how the negativity controls us, makes us lose our mind and makes us pretty much a puppet is like.

We promised forever,
Comforted by the thought
We allowed ourselves to let go,
Slowly being engulfed but
The love we presented was neither forever or true
It was conditional—temporary, present but not forever— but
It provided comfort we longed

Deep within the darkness
I lay staring at the sky
With nothing but emptiness
And of defeaning silence's cry

Into these hollow walls, I stay
Awake from the unending nights
From the quiet tavern, I pray
For my soul to take flight

The birds I've heard years ago
To the sunrise that casts at dawn
Here I am away from the echo
Of the living; I'm left all alone

This is my cave, my home
For years I waited on a throne
With nothing else, from sight
Just my darkness, my only light
I was feeling all trapped these past few months; trapped within the cards I've laid out myself. Sympathizing with a character from a book which I think completely reflected me was what this poem brought along. This poem is heavily inspired by Mitch Albom's Time Keeper protagonist: Dor.

I am dancing with the angel of death,
It helps my tormented soul, lays it to rest.
Peace is arising, I see black
Light is nowhere, darkness I hail.

Life is layer of sufferings,
Adore it much and it's a sin,
Hate you it more,
The same it gives.
It's about the dark times when all you can think about is quitting and the ironical life we live...

Your smile lit up the room
Your laugh made us laugh too
You didn't deserve your horrible doom
You and your boyfriend were the perfect two

Now your smile will light up the sky
And our tears will run dry
You didn't deserve to die
And now we'll all have a real tough time

The time I almost got food poisoning
Whilst you were on the phone
The time I first met you
When you were stood outside my home

Well have fun in Heaven
You'll be greatly missed
And every night that you're up there
Every night I'll send you up a kiss
(sorry its short) In memory of one of the sweetest ******* girls I ever knew. The girl who made everyone smile. Rest in peace angel. You didn't deserve to go and I promise we will find the ******* who stabbed you.
