Drowning in a cesspool of wishes
Destiny swims no farther than fishes.
Diligence seduces the tide,
She elopes, makes her a bride.

The singing bird sings,
The humming bee stings.
Inactivity kills the sweet dreamer but
Also exalts not the lazy ****.

Puff your blunt, roll up your sleeves
Kiss your tools, empty your sheaths
Pray your hands grind the right mill,
Your hustle will have you chill.
Specially Dedicated to A friend Kcee.
And there you were,
Black and white.
Emotionless: No excitement, no euphoria, no sadness, no fear,
Void of art, void of darkness, void of light.

How easy it is to be distracted away,
From you, from that of which is so important,
Yet your dullness can be compared to a lonesome tree which for a hundred years had had no sway,
Or a handsome husband who is nothing but impotent.

How deep, how dull,
And yet attractive to some.
And in these wee hours when the very air seems to lull,
And I slowly drift off hoping to tear through the fabric of space and time,

I pray I don't get distracted.
Because to understand that very dullness,
Is to conquer and to finish what I started,
And to blossom in all a nerd's fullness.
Studying for your finals can be very distracting, don't you think?

what a funny concept
learning life through the teachings of others

who are you to teach
me about your interests

who are you to tell me
to buy your book and memorize it.

who the **** are you
to test me on it.

school is not my forté
nor should it be yours

because school is for the weak
I learn through experience.

not mid-terms.

new "old" or old "new"

I trip over a boulder

seems to be shackled to my leg
I open it:

There was once upon a bright clear morn,
A piece to state that you were born.
Embroiled within life’s tapestry
And safe inside a registry,

Some years in school and well I never!
Other pieces say ‘you’re clever’.
Thus qualified in math and lit’
You see what you can make of it.

Snuggled up beside, or not too far,
A piece that lets you drive a car.
To grasp the wheel and thus to steer,
From here to there, and there to here.

When cupid chances upon your head,
A piece to certify you’re wed’.
The threshold crossed, confetti flung,
A foot placed firmly on the rung.

With currency saved you joined the race,
A piece says you now own the place.
So mow the lawn and paint the wall,
And cook when friends and neighbours call.

And of course in time they’ll hang their heads,
Another piece declares you’re dead.
A choice is made you can’t revoke,
It’s down a hole or up in smoke.
i'm not sure if it's ours anymore

i stopped counting my days
into your arms after you gave 15
minutes.

you gave me seconds of silence
empty pockets of filler space
15 moments of 'let me listen then go'

it has been two months of my
counting on you to honor us

two months of still
loving you and placing it
elsewhere.

i was waiting to land on
on the tarmac
and fall into you for days.

you were my days
north star
drinking gourd

you were home,

love

i guess you could say i'm successful
i guess you could say i have potential
i guess you could say i have a bright future
but at what cost?

if your life is
pouring over endless pages and
vocabulary words
saturday classes and
the endless typing of monotonous papers
are you really living?

i want to be like the girls
who wear tight dresses
and drink too much on friday night

i want to point to a place on my map
pack up my things
and make new adventures

i want to feel the exhilaration
of falling through life
with no idea where i'm going to end up

i'm so tired of being
sensible
i want to be alive

Twas the night before finals
And all through the dorms
Not a student was sleeping
Not even a nerd
Everyone sat with their books
And their coffee
Cramming until they
Thought they would burst

When 4AM struck
A sigh could be heard
As finally the students
Put down their heads
For at this point in time
Not a **** did they give
For an A or an F
It didn’t matter
Unemployment was inevitable
And sleep was a given.
College finals will **** me

In the library trying
                          To read
Eyes are sleepy
Yawning is continuous
To save me
A cup of coffee what
                        I need!

Looking out from the
                         Window
Nothing new only sunshine
                          So
Made myself busy in counting
                                          Fan
Other time spreading fake smile to
                                Unknown man
Whenever try to read words
                              In book
I am sicking of laziness
Which is crook!!
In the library..feeling lazy and sleepy.
