I've searched my whole life
In the darkest crevices
At the tallest heights
In the most hidden of shadows
And under the heaviest rocks
But I can't seem to find you anywhere
And when they say you'll find the one
I begin to doubt them

One footstep at a time
I think I’m getting closer
to where I belong
Is this it?

I just saw the most beautiful garden
Can I stay here?
I know I want to

When people ask me
Why don’t you just pick the flower and go
I said, for what?
It’ll be dead in the next few days

I love this place
I want to see those flowers grow
Stand tall

Little did I know
Turns out the garden is mine
It’s a gift
From above

Every word
might not be enough to describe my
best wishes for us,
even if I try to learn every language and
read every book.
Good times are ahead of us.
Every bad second assures
more moments that we'll much cherish.
Let this journey of ours make your worries
over and done and let Him
guide us to the rest of our days
and always know that I will
never leave your side.
I actually two poems for my future spouse, this was the other

Little by little, I will learn from you
Each and everyday.
All your laughs and laments;
Naughts and nevers;
In every detail of your own story
And in every inch of your soul.

May our journey keep us together
Always and forever.
Hands of ours writing our story yet
Intertwined on the other.
May every moment we make,
Every memory and regret,
Remembered evermore.
I am taking a course in college about Marriage & Family in society. And our professor required us to make a 'letter' to our future spouse. I took this opportunity to make another poem, even though I'm busy with other academics.

Who Am I 2©

I sit on the park bench
Watching the world pass by

It feels like I have been here a while
I do not know where home is

Nor what my name is
Somewhere out there someone loves me, I think

Be it a spouse, a sibling, a child or grandchild
Yet I am not sure

So I wait,
For what I am not fully aware

Could it possibly be to take some medication
That will clear the fog away

Or possibly needed to save my life
Maybe…or maybe not

Someplace deep inside the recesses of my mind
I hear these words

“Stay where you are, we will find you”
And so I wait

Pull me up and hold when I fall
When you are down give me a call
For few moments together, let's pause
Let's talk opening up our heart

Ups-downs and highs-lows
Sail together in same boat
In this stream of time floaty
Let's flow together smoothly

Frustration charm and madness
Such is the path of togetherness
Be there always with me
From you I want this much only

Moving ahead persistently
Maybe fast or slowly
Always be my co-traveler
When weary wait for each other

Maybe uplifts or setbacks
Face together let's not give up
Many challenges to meet
Let's share by joining the feet

There may come one day
From the nest, chicks fly away
Both of us will be here
At the end for each other

Share the full moon/no-moon nights
Also the dusks and twilights
Be it a shiny or cloudy
In all weather I need you only

**I need you as you are
I need you as you are
Today it's "Karva chouth", a festival of husband and wife in india.....wife observes fast for husband's health happiness and long life. Concluded with worship of deity, feast and flaunting in bride like get up.
Although i don't observe, but lot of emotions are involved here. It reminds the eternal bond between them.

Romance is a Luxury
Reserved for those who were born with enough to live in
Those who laze in lavishness
The educations were wrong
It is not an equal platform where everyone can jump in and stay in
For those without so much fortune, what is its purpose anyway
Romance is a luxury for those with the idle minds
When the merchants are out to play, and people come to seek their goods
Romance is futile, romance is an illusion for those with marriage contracts
For a better stage, for a better filled garage…

My list of antonyms of death,
Include not just life or birth,
Still not limited to just alive,
Some others I include in the list.

Youth is one of those,
Old humans never get,
Unyouthful they become.

Marriage is a name for youthfulness,
Youth never fades in faithfulness.

Loneliness never haunts few lucky,
Over the years of separation,
Veering away from love never,
E**spousing the spouse forever.

We clash like fire and ice,
one burns hot,
the other cold,
and in the face of our fury,
a beautiful nightmare
is born.

You melt me slowly,
I cool you quickly.
We come together
to view the destruction
our love has wrought,
a rescue team that wades
through the broken
furniture and picks up the
pieces.

We put them back together
with glue,
hands nicked
and hearts sore.
But in the end, when all is said
and done,
we find each other
again.
