A silent yearning,
A splash of soft renegade.
This gold softness
Close again like armor;
My collapse, his surrender.

Please my quiet scream;
I crave your emotion,
My charming melody.

Under the water,
Watching as the silver surface moves.
Quickly calm, as the darkness pours into ears.
The mind at rest,
Apart from the world the silence is best.
The pressure pushing into softest of spaces.

The lake is thick,
Swimming between fingers as if to hold its hand.
Keep on falling,
In a world lacking gravity,
Reaching for something to hold whilst knowing there’s nowhere to stand.
Advil,
Methamphetamine,
The words of e e cummings
Your sculpted sloped nose
and Lord of the Flies

These are all pain relievers

A hospital,
The voice  of Nelson Mandela
The softness of her back
And notes of Vivaldi’s four seasons violin concerto number 2

    These are all sanctuaries

Four letters,
A Christmas song in February
Streaks of sunshine
And a contact name

These are all love
aslana Nov 2019
love tasted different on your lips,
sweeter, and more kind,
smooth going down.

there's a softness in your heart,
a place I'd never been to before,
the oceans in your eyes, so blue
I drown in them,
hands that I could hold onto,
and arms that keep me safe.

but why is it now that
every time you make me laugh,
I cough up blood?

there's a thunderstorm in your heart and
a hurricane in your mind.
my umbrella can't keep us safe from the storms
raging under your skin.
i'm drowning in these floods and i never learned how to swim

I wanna wake up next to you
Up early in the morning
Run my hand through your hair
Kiss you on the cheek
Waking up just enough to roll over
So we can hold each other close
Forget about the rest of the world
And fall gently back to sleep

Lips of ambrosia
kiss me softly
kiss me slow

Sweet taste of heaven
kiss me rough
let me know

How lucky am I to touch your lips
kiss me into endless oblivion
I am ready to fall into your abyss
10/30/19
I am in love again

that would bring heaven down to earth

Fireflies in a jar
Covered in mountains of scarves
Darkened, but not out
Still it shines
Despite not being seen
Deep within the cocoon of fabrics
Soft as a kittens fur
To rough as canvas sacks
All contain the light
Hiding it
Sheltering it from the outside world.
