I am drowning
Gasping for air
Reaching for help
Held down by what I cannot stop
Surrounded by what I cannot bear
Choked by what I cannot see
Cut off by what I cannot explain
Let me go
Please

Has anyone with influence read this?
Point me in the direction of other poets? If you would; have my name mentioned once, I will mention yours for a few years, as a debt paid?

I have something to share.
Not something to say.

Would you allow me? To be here, amongst you, feeling more than myself, wanting to meet the rest of our clan?

Let me know.

I laugh,
since there I stood
sand running through my fingers
thinking I could hold you close.

I don't quite know where I am going,
And I don't quite know what I need.
But I know what I want,
And can taste it.
But sadly,
it's so far
out of
reach.

"The
sky's
the
limit
"

That's what people say
When they're
too afraid

To
reach
for
the
stars.

I asked her “tell me now,
Willow, why you weep”
She said “because, my cloud,
No rain has come to me
In a while”

“But you are on the riverbank
how much more water could you want”

“And yet I long for yours
for it's coming from above
and I'm in love with a cloud”

Reach to the back of the old,
Reach behind the boxes entrenched with dust,
Reach beyond the shelves of tarnished trophies,
Reach beneath the tarpaulin brittle with age.
Reach and ignore the stains of the years
Stretch, *****, seek
And your fingers will brush
Against unfamiliar, new-to-you gems.
Reach and from unexplored corners
Reveal new treasures from the storeroom;
Treasures to enlighten
Treasures to surprise
Treasures to delight
The disciples of the kingdom.
Matthew 13:52
52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

16 Psyche
Astroid king
Gravid with iron
Nimble in flight
Circumnavigate
The stars
They revere you so
Your steely frown
Rigid and dense
Elegance
Oh, Astroid King
Your story retold
Is a tragedy
Trajectory
Unknown and alone
Nebulas, they glow
For you
Satellites, they shine
For you
But I, I cry for you
Astroid King
16 Psyche is an asteroid that scientists have identified in our solar system, which has enough iron to fuel planetary consumption for millions of years.  The Earth may have as little as a century of mineable iron left, in contrast.

This poem was inspired by someone in particular.

you appreciate:
....distance...
more than I'd planned.
so how do I communicate
a need:
....to hold your hand....
