If you are a rainbow,
show the world all of your colors,
not just one of them
for your entire lifetime,
when you have so much more to offer.

On the last day we spoke, you compared me to a 1000 piece puzzle.

One of those puzzles in which half is made up of a pretty blue sky, with big poofy clouds.

The other half is a plain field of grass.

You also compared me to a colorful rubix cube, the sparkly ones to be exact.

My unique and confusing disarray of color patterns make me approachable.

You said all this is the perspective
that while I'm interesting at first glance, no one wants to stick around long enough to solve me.

I never would of thought that a loss of a poets friendship would be harshest of all.

I guess I should have known.

Red is my blood
Always energetic
Strongly and steadily give me support
Keeping me alive

Orange is my heart
Full of compassion
Warm and bright and it’s contagious
So I keep it open to everyone

Yellow is my skin
What I was born with
You can see where I came from at the first sight
And I am proud of it

Green is my mind
Peace-loving and nature-attached
Long for no fight
But will always stand with what is right

Blue is my thought
As calm and clean as the sky
So you see no shadows in my eyes

Purple is my spirit
I am noble not because of my property
But merely who I am

I am made of rainbow
And I know you are, too.
Thank Hello Poetry for granting my membership! It took a loooong time that I thought they're not gonna take me in. I'm glad I'm in :)

I don't know if what I create can be categorized as poems or not, either way, I enjoy the process and wish maybe someone will be cheered up by reading them. That would be great!

Intravenous agnostic
religious blood pumped into our veins
staining our blood with shame
love beats in our hearts
the same love that beats in other peoples
from housing estate to church steeple
we were born to love as one people
we are the universe
made conscious
our conscience is our conscious love
may look to the stars above
but we are as much born of the stars
as we are of the earth or Gaia
and anyone who says that you only go to heaven if you believe in jesus
is a liar no one can put out the star shine in our hearts
we are one just like the white light from the sun
just refracted into many like the rainbow
individuals feeling pain although
the pain is not knowing or feeling that oneness
with the universe our mother
our father yin and yang the clues are all around us
we may curse and cut
but we must trust in one another...

Oh rainbow I look
At the sky a see
You and yours
Beautiful colors

You after a rain storm

They say you are a rainbow, that you need
that lost beauty which cascades down in the
winter winds to reveal you. They say a
smattering of colour sprayed on the horizon,
which can be seen even on the clearest
of mornings, cannot be true, or have any
sense of clarity. They say that without
the rain, you would be dulled and colourless,
but I do not think you need the thunderous
awakening of the clouds to brighten my sky.

I begin where you end
I end where you begin

Mitosis of hearts
Joined from the start
God is a rainbow
and the white light
We are him and her
Every shade
together white and pure
in dreams and memories
In happy thoughts we pray for
Love and light is in us all.

mourning a loss
that came before me
Is an invisible burden
I try to forget
