The Writer Jun 2017
is it wrong of me to
wish for rain
without a rainbow?

with every splatter of
forgotten tears my hope
for colors dissipates

Only* made nothing!
Only that or this.
Only for a moment but,
Only for a kiss.

Beware conceived of something.
Beware of that or this.
Beware of giant thoughts in there.
Beware of mindless bliss.

Content took just a moment.
Content with that or this.
Content to breach the levy.
Content in the abyss.

Always stops at nothing.
Always that or this.
Always finding something.
Always gets the gist.

Amazed comes on in waves.
Amazed of that or this.
Amazed rained down in teardrops.
Amazed was not remiss.

Aware was very clear to see.
Aware of that or this.
Aware took all the rainbow seeds
And vanished in the mist.

Amazed, she kissed the Only.
Only touched Beware.
Content reached out for Always.
Amazed became *
Aware.

My only inspiration--
it’s you.
My best friend--
it’s you.
My silver lining--
it’s you
you’re like honey to a bee
     or bark to a tree
You’re every color in the rainbow
You’re the rain that makes things grow
You’re every word to my poem
Even the ones that never rhyme
You're every work of art
And every drop of blood in my heart.
Edited to add last two lines.
What I Feel May 2017
Whilst rain may beat upon this drowning earth
and flood our minds with misery and pain,
a pale sun breaks her way out from the clouds
and gives us hope of life in light again.

For where her rays meet with dark clouds of doom
that thunder thoughts of hate on those below,
their bigotry begins to break away,
and our true shining colours show.
Embrace the rainbow!
The Pride flag represents a beautiful spectrum, and welcomes everybody. Love literally knows no bounds.
Take our rainbow as a promise of a beautiful life; we have endured the rain, and now our flag stands as a beacon of hope whilst we wait for a life in the sun.

Anchored in the ground
Little roots reach for nectar
That the rain brought down

Tiny drops swim through the pond
Rainbows dance across the lawn

A cloud floats by.
She smiles a rainbow.
Tearing the wrap off a red paper bag.
She closes her eyes.
Tight as they'll squeeze.
Tasting her fantasy from hand to mouth.
Who knew a rainbow could taste so good.
The flavor of each color melting in her mouth.
She's in love.
Standing on top the rainbow.
Swishing around a kaleidoscope of flavor.
She's lost in the taste.
Her mind is at ease.
Until the next time her crush passes with ease.

Three wishes I was given
but they were not to be used on me
I had to wish for something special
for other eyes to see--
so I wished for a rainbow to shine
on every dear family member
and friend of mine--
and then I wished for them to follow
the rainbow all the way through
and discover a *** of gold (yes, real gold!)
for them to use or hold onto--
But wish number three was the easiest of all
I wished for good health and blessings to befall
all of those I love so dear and true
and I hope you know, that these 3 wishes
are all wished for you!
Sorry I've been gone so long. Life has been crazy chaotic, but good. I hope all of you are well and that good things are happening for you! :D

Just because you don't see me in the front row anymore
It doesn't mean I have left
I have been forced to go back a couple of rows
And I don't know if it was you or life that took me there ,

But with all this I'm still in the room ,
Following and applauding you from the back ,
I see you but you don't see me...
And the sound of me applauding is left
Unrecognized ,
Its mixed with everyone else ,
But of course there has to be a difference between them ,
I applaud out of love from the heart ,
But they ....... Never mind who am I to judge,

Just because I don't show myself ,
Doesn't mean I'm done !
No I'm enjoying the show ,
And I'm love with you ,
And I'm proud to be in the room ,
And happy to be far ,
Because to love when you are unloved ,
Is exactly what pure and selfless love is .....

You
At sunrise,
Opening my morning eyes,

Turning to look around,
Seeing an empty room,
Where are you?

Seeing cloudy sunrise skies,
Hearing ocean waves,
Missing you,

No more rainbows,
Only shining dreams from my past,
That I try to hold onto,

I still pretend,
You're still here by writing love letters
Mailed to you in my dreams.

But memories fade away,
Like bright rainbows, after the rain,

Leaving me,
With only blue skies,
But no you.
