She wasn't like any other person,
she saw everyone's soul as a color,
she was jealous of them,
so she stole a little piece from everyone she loved,
for them to love her back.
But they didn't.
And she wondered why.
Little did she know,
that her soul isn't becoming a rainbow
like she thought it would be,
it was becoming that chaotic color
just like her real soul,
and that's what made her
special.

I'm sending you an indigofera tinctora
plant it, water it, grow it
when it blooms
pluck a petal and hold it to your eye
look at me
through its vulnerable corolla
for when you need to see beyond the tangible
the little girl you created
Aubrey -
A not so ordinary girl or name
But who's to blame?

I'm sending you a stained glass dreamcatcher
careful it doesn't break
hang it over your bed
when you wake, hold it to your eyes
look at me
for when you need to see my truth
Joseph's coat of many colors
Aubrey -
A not so ordinary girl or name
But who's to blame?

I'm sending you the promise of a flood-free future
take a step closer
study it
place the promise between us
illuminate
for when you seed to my truth
hate-proof, judge-proof, water-proof
Aubrey -
A not so ordinary girl or name
But who's to blame?
"Aubrey - a not so ordinary girl or name but who's to blame" pulled from song "Aubrey"   written and composed by David Gates; originally recorded by Bread.

every colour of the rainbow reminds me of you
my love
I cant get you out of my head
violet oh violet
that dark night sky
the stars you made me see
the love you made me feel
blue as I am
when all hope was lost
the misery and helplessness
that great anguish
red why red
rage, eruptions
fury as such
like we never knew we could possess
white pure white
how heavens seem
angels and God
gave me what I needed
my peace at last
I can't get you out of my head
and you tell me how much you love it

I wish I could take
The colors from a rainbow
And place them
Into your heart
So you would remember
What beautiful feels like
And know there is
Hope in the dark.

When the doors of heaven were open wide,
the divine rays of god restored the dawn.
The holy waters were then sprinkled,
and the soul of earth was baptized.
The chromatic aisle was then instilled,
washing off the somber hue.
The odor of sanctity was then diffused,
the state of misery was blown away.
The sicks and the spirits were then anointed,
and all the sufferings were healed,
and sins of humans were redeemed.

Rainbows are made
When the sun ***** the rain
A beautiful display of love
Colorful and gay

You were
like a rainbow
Beautiful to look at
But when I touched you
I felt nothing

We tried to be together.
You are the sunshine.
I am the storm.
We are the sunshower.

But....

Everything is temporary
A fleeting moment of bliss
You can't calm the storm,
so you stop trying.
I can't stay in your light,
so I stop coming.

We've come to accept
that sunshines and storms
can never be together.

You lost your brightness
Your happiness.
Your smiles.
I've got to let you go.

But there will be a rainbow
A haunting reminder
that once in our lifetime
our paths crossed.
