This morning I put the apostrophe in
and this afternoon I took it out.
Oscar Wilde's comic wit
about the writer working hard.

Revision has lately become the sign
of seriousness, as in I revise
some poems a hundred times,
maybe more. A word of praise here,

a critical word there.
Before that there was the debate
if poems not stitched with end-sounds
were playing tennis without a net.

Late summer, August, hot, but
chickadees forming platoons.
Three months until the snow flies,
sure as the June my father died.

Drown me slowly
in Your pool of wisdom
so I may beg for one last breath
and cherish what I have been given

Ignorance has blurred my senses,
and I rely on the wicked for guidance
I have ignored Your presence
like the ghost who haunts my halls

Turn my chin to face You
so my eyes may see again
through this heavy, dark veil
I've been hiding behind

*…and see light once again
Supernal king,
Thy beauty is lofty, and thy love is imposing!

You are neither haughty,
nor divided,
neither spiteful,
nor malevolent,
Whatever an unbeliever may say to the contrary!

Supernal king,
Thy repute is worthy of extolment!

I will love you till the birds give up flying
Till eyes give up the habit of crying
I will love you till the cats make a truce with mice
Till probabilistic algorithm needs not a dice
I will love you till the Nile pours water into Victoria
I will love you more than war is cherished by any warrior
I will love you till Butterflies become caterpillars
And even if It's samson pushing the pillars
The pillars of my passion will never crumble
I will never change course even if I stumble
I will love you till the Doves stop to sing
Till entangled bees cease to sting
I will love you till the Sun grows cold
And the moon burns hot and grows old
I will love you till it snows in Hell
I will love you till Ants stop living in hills
Because I need you just as Snail needs her Shell
I will love you even when human heart no longer feels
I will love you till all African states unite
I will love you till old age steals my sight
I will love you till roads cease to have potholes
I will love you even after my destiny calls
I will love you till poems no longer rhyme
I will love you till the end of time

I would walk a thousand miles to see you
So I've converted miles to social media hours
Because It's the only way I can say "I love you"
After all can't walk on Oceans without supernatural powers

I'd surrender mine just to hear your heartbeat
If she could be given without her skin called mortality
I'd have stars across the night to always have your sky lit
But I cannot promise dreams which stand no chance becoming reality

I'd massage every tired muscle of your fatigued heart
If the fingers of my affection could penetrate the distance
I understand,enough times before you've been hurt
But if you wasn't so far away I'd burrow through any resistance

I would bring the moon from the sky to your door
For one reason, you're a treasure I love and adore

Walking away sometimes isn't moving on
Just like sometimes moving on isn't walking away
Breaking up isn't necessarily creating enmity
Though sometimes creating enmity involves breaking up
Desire isn't fire even if sometimes it does burn
Memories seldom totally fade away after it's done
We meet, but every Hello comes holding hands with her goodbye
The road which bound us'll separate us,no matter how hard we try
The package of our birth contains the towel of our death
And as we celebrate so shall we mourn
Every cradle cup has its grave etched on it
And it counts on like a clock, beat by beat
Till we are there, in the great beyond
A place where those who return never visit
Every dawn crawls along to meet her dusk
Like a bride to her groom as a wedding task
Today is here awaiting a conquerer's victory
For every moment shall someday be history
Traditionalists believe the sun matches around the Globe
Scientists say otherwise, they say what moves is the Globe
That's why as you hold my arms and softly kiss my lips
I kiss you hard till down your lips blood drips
So that when this sweet start someday marries its end
When this great fire dies out once we've stopped to fend
We will remember one thing, how passion glowed like Mars
Each time we meet,by just a glance at your scars
But till then, I'll keep hoping ours is as ageless as the sun
And as continuous as the boundless oceans and seas
As treasured as an Ancien king's first born son
Yet as strong as Diamonds, and fascinating like how the Eagle sees
I will keep hoping that even after forever you'll be mine
That ours is an endless poem, one that shall never witness a last line
Just thought you should know that you are ******* talented
And awesome
And everyone who disagrees can go stick a piece of toast up their ***
Stay amazing
You're great
:)
Just a reminder to all you poets
getting down and out
Go forth and do what you do
It's brilliant
And so are you

You're not just a Giver of answers
But You alone are the Answer;
I sometimes doubt my future
As I fear it too,
Yet You provide a way out,
A light beyond my feet
You are my certainty.

Of all the pleasures of the world
I once took satisfaction
In fact, I've let myself be drowned
But it ravels me into its depth.

Your heart shall be my heart
I pay no more tribute to my idols
To my once lustful eyes, pride and anxiety
I give to You, oh, grant me forgiveness.

The grain You bestowed me,
Put them in my heart,
That I may cry for hunger,
And thirst due to drought.

Oh, Lord let me mourn
But turn the mourning into dancing
Dance with me, oh angels
Let's praise the Holy King.

Put oil in my forehead
As a sign of Your anointing
Cover me with Your blood
Oh, I shiver with Your eternal grace.

The wine, You share with me
It taste no liquor
But it soothes my Spirit
Oh Spirit, come down
Ignite the passion within me
The feast is now,
Oh the joy of the Lord, fill me in.

I don't need fancy word play to say
that each day,
has some hurt and praise
Ever Day
