Brown apple, bad smell
My long forgotten lunchbox
I was just a kid
It had dinosaurs on it
And a volcano – almost empty
Inside but so much going on
On the outside (it looked cool)
And I miss it
Even with this rot inside
Even the things I don’t know
Nor remember
For there’s a hole in the middle
I can’t see through.

Many underestimate how the people are
Many do not know what is in them
They can be like a pearl mussel
From the outside they look worthless
But inside they are beautiful and precious.

The woman in the window
  Looks out beyond the glass
Beyond the reach of her whispers
  Befogged upon windowpanes glance

Farther  than  the  bounds
  Her own breathe imbues
Out of reach her long fingered touch
Tracing her murmurs on looking glass dew
Grasping for the shadowed artifacts
Only time does nonchalantly drift past

Perched alone upon a cloud of silence
Her thoughts eddy in soundless swirl
Spinning like dizzying shadows
Swallowed by a thirst for light

The other side of window beckons
  Only she knows she’s looking out through a sigh;
Seeing no one familiar looking back ―
For what hidden jewels within abide

She dreams of dancing leafless by daylight
Twirling beneath the whispering willows sway
Just a step away from being free
Just a step away from feeling alive

With first step beyond imprisoning hesitation
Crossing over the threshold of a dream
Through a liberating portal outside the glass
Just on the other side of the windowsill ...

Soaring  above the moonlit sky far above the constillation , peaking down through the white clouds of puff, watching as the stars drop from heaven.
What a world to be seen as I look down  from up above.
For  the mountains covered in snow caps there is so much beauty and the wildlife running so free. The elk strutting all around, the Rocky mountain big horns playing by hooking horns and then the Grizzly Bear  catching trout from the springs.   As I look into the oceans of water crystal clear , the whales, the sharks , and the amazing dolphins all  swim for miles, without a care or a fear.  All through the jungles of Africa , the Lions holding their thrones as the king's, the tigers waiting for their supper hiding  behind the rocks, let's not forget the gorillas and apes occupying the swinging branches of the trees,  through the muddy swamps,  where the saw grass grows and the Gators and snakes lurk. ,
Oh the beauty of the land down under, how I would love to take a walk about, as the kangaroos run freely carrying their little joeys, snuggled safely in their pouch. I've never been to France, I see the stories are true, as I'm looking down on the city of romance I picture me and you.
So much beauty and freedom, my view from up here.
Sometimes you have to step out of the box to see things from a different view.

Me, I'd love to go
Take me anywhere
Take me anywhere but here
Coz I flicker between these
Two locations
Can you let me exist somewhere else
Give me the excuse I need
To get away
Screams,
Turn them into music
Silence
Into white noise
Anything's better
Coz solitude's only so great
In the same place every time
So give me places
Places I can know
And love
Give me scenes I can memorise
And let become part of me
Coz I've got these two locations
I flicker between them
These two states of mind
I flicker between them
I'm asleep
Or I'm running
Give me another place
In my mind and
In the world
Sister, take me
Ride our pink and blue bikes
Any manner of places
Coz you know the city back-to-front
And me,
I flicker
But when you take me
I've got something new
And I've got another state of mind
Coz stress can become excitement
Coz running can become dancing
Coz sleeping can become laughing
If you know how
If you know where
And if you stop yourself
From flickering
Between two worlds
That just
Feel
The same.

Outside the sun is
shining, so why is the rain
pouring down inside?
Sometimes I am sad for no reason, and that makes me even sadder.

I squeeze my eyes shut,
I cover my ears,
I take deep breaths,
because I don't want to hear.
I try to shut my mind down
because I don't want to know
what is going on outside of me.

You
I walked outside to see the moon
and I didn't mean to,
but I automatically thought of you
I then began to wonder
if you were looking at the same night sky,
thinking of me too
