Destination!

A beauty that makes mankind fall on its knees,
A phenomenon that makes the world rise up.

In such pain I am now,
Never did I contemplate this to be,
It wouldn't matter if I died now,
Because you're here to set me free.

I watched sunsets with you,
But, never us seeing sunrises together.

In this scorching heat,
Your memories are like,
The shade of a garden tree.

Only in my mornings,
Do I watch the moon rise!

How do I put into words?
The moon is over and above enchanting,
After catching a glimpse of you!

For all of eternity,
My diary shall bear,
Two imperishable details,
My penmanship,
And, your name!

My quest will continue,
Till the end of time,
Across all realms,
And, the spacetime continuum,
Beyond all known dimensions,
While chartering new destinations,
For that one blessing,
To lay my eyes on you again,
Even amidst a hurricane,
And, feel what I felt before,
For the first time even more!

I asked my heart,
Time and again,
Over the span of time,
And, I know now the ultimate truth,
A realisation as pleasant as the moon,
About what poetry is,
And, that is you!
