Our youth was seasoned
With greens and blues
When your skin scorched me.
Still burns.

Could we but flip
Pages like clock hands;
We need only agree,
And nocturnal waves
Would lap again,
And all the world
Would fall in time
Upon itself.

Elements, such as we,
Cannot.
Your present calendar
Has days X-ed off,
Days checked on.
Times have changed
Peoples and places.

I remain yours.

Airways and Fever ❤❤❤

I'd give all the Stars in the world, just to make you smile,
And I would jump over the Moon to only be yours.

I would outshine the Sun if I could show you how much I love you,
And I would move Mountains if I could see you happy.

The Planets do not have to be aligned,
for anyone to see,

That You and I were simply,
meant to be.

But, alas, there are treacherous obstacles,
we both must face.

The Rivers  may flow the wrong direction,
and the Valleys may be steep,

But I promise you,
That as long as the Canyons are deep,

The Deserts are dry,
And the Jungle is lively,

I am willing, to travel across the Universe,
to be able to love you.

my writing, for you, unrhymed,
inspired, collective, untimed.

my wish, expired, worthless dime,
dropped, ignored, some great crime.

my love, for you, heavy climb,
unreachable, too far, too blind.

my ending, our tragedy, your prime,
soulless, tearful, wishful rewind.

our death, my wreck, you seem fine,
your words, my ears, tearfully unkind.

I believe, through days, through time,
but now, I know, you were never really mine.

Wee cosy, tranquil Gatehouse Library
Ah come in quite a lot tay see yi,
Tay read yir books and use yir wifi
                An' chat tay Joannie,
Sae noo Ah'm goannie sing yir praises,
                Ah'm pure dead goannie.

Ye're sic' a cultural oasis,
Wan o' ma favourite learnin' places,
Yir books can form the verra basis
                O' Scottish brain power,
Enrichin' minds an' cheeky faces
                O' Scottish wean power.

So let us pray they never close yi
Tay those who would, we will oppose yi.
We'll be the storm an ill wind blows yi
                At sic' a crunch time.
The only closin' we'll allow
                Is Joannie's lunch time.
Over the last year or so of visiting Gatehouse Of Fleet for short breaks I've got to know the librarian, Joan. I was there during Book Week Scotland 2014 and saw a few "love letters to your local library" on the walls.  When I mentioned it to Joan she immediately said, "You could write one too."
"I don't have my laptop or any paper," I said, making a pathetic attempt at an excuse.
"I'll give you some paper," comes the reply.
And so instead of spending the planned hour and a half catching up on some reading, I spent it writing this.

In a place where everything and everyone
is shallow,
your eyes alone are left with a depth to them
that no-one could have ever guessed.
In a place where hard work is an excuse
to be superior,
you value interior in a way
quite ulterior.
In a mirror you're just as good as them,
but your beauty will stem
from things other than your physicality.
It comes from the fact that you make happiness
a reality.
The totality of your devotion
to something as simple as a smile
makes every second spent with you,
instantly worthwhile.

Sure, there have been guys,
who have had their own ideas.
Used lies like a blade
to cut their way into your heart,
but you've grown wise since then.
You've been hurt before,
but your determination to stay happy
is worth more than any man could be.
I'm only around you three hours a week,
but your smile shines through any attempt I have
at keeping my attitude bleak.
If I can be completely honest,
you leave me absolutely star-struck
and it was just my luck
that I was born four years before you.

Our worlds run parallel from my view,
but the way I can connect heart and mind with you
is a treasure that cannot be reproduced.

These past few days and nights you have been the only thing on my mind. I can't help but sit and wonder if your laughing when I am, and if you're smiling when I am (Also if your worrying when I am) . I miss your voice, and your smile.

And your eyes...

I would give anything to spend a whole day with you, just you and me. It's only been a day since I've looked into the eyes of my soul mate, but in my heart it feels as though its been so unbearably long. I sit and think of all the reasons why I love you and all my favorite memories with you and I get so happy. I am so glad to know I am not alone...
This is the first time someone has been willing to stand with me through tough times, and honestly just your support is so much help. Thank you, I love you and I appreciate everything you do, have done, and are willing to do for me. You are truly amazing and truly special; You are my favorite person on earth, and you are my best friend.

Love,
Me <3
