I remember the time I really looked into your eyes; I mean I had always thought they were brown, but when I looked, and I mean really looked, I was mistaken.

The fourth of July actually was a time for color and celebration, and as I sat beside you and watched the glowing works explode the sky's veil, I knew I didn't want the flames to stop falling through the haziness of your eyes.

Speckled green. The perfect color, just in between all the rest, absorbing life itself.

Each laugh erupted louder than the booms in the sky, and every smile was something like the Cheshire Cat, gleaming in the darkness.

And once the golden whirlwind had ended, once we walked apart, I stayed humming the tune of your voice as it replayed over and over in my mind.

this one is for you, for I suppose the keeper of you heart is quite lucky to look into your eyes every day...heaven knows I would be.

Do you ever think of me on rainy days?
about how I used to tell you
that you reminded me of the latter?
about how the pitter patter of the raindrops,
sounded just like the tears you wiped away?
Sometimes I sit in a coffeeshop and inhale the aroma,
and I swear I see your shadow in the rain.

Someone once told me
that butterflies only live for a year
so could you tell the ones you left in my stomach
that they've overstayed their welcome?

After you left, I catch myself running my fingers
over the things you touched the most.
I just want to feel the warmth of your fingertips.
I just want to know if the sound of my heartbeat
still sounds like windchimes to you.

Day Feb 2017
I searched for a better world, desperately trying to find something more.
I found someone who instead ... gave me new eyes.
Someone who taught me not to squint when the sun emerged from behind the clouds.
A soul who opened my ears to hear the music this world sang to us.
Slowly he taught me to stop searching for a better world, but to see the good in this one.

Nicotine

I cannot ignore

how loudly love knocks

whilst you and I exchange

meaningful eye locks.

You are my Lucida,

my brightest star,

though I never intended

for you

to take so much space

in my heart;

I cannot tell where

your fervency ends

and my love starts.

You are an iota of heartache,

mixed with a hint of nicotine

and sprinkled with flaws,

reminding me broken beings

should be healed with love

not bandaids or empty promises

(though they're the same).

My darling, sublimity scintillates

in your eyes and

I cannot explain in a rhyme

the many ways you make me feel sublime.

A/N: Hey guys! An update after a long time!! I know this is not the order that the poems go, but I felt inspired to write about *this person and so I thought why not? If you'd like to, comment some feedback, thoughts, and / or questions  (:

My heart aches in sadness.
My soul screams in pain.
My head shouts in anger.
All my emotions, out of control.
All over a boy. A boy, a friend, a crush. The door was open, then she came. She stole him, closed the door, took my chance.
Tears rolling down my Face, washed away by the rain fall. As I lay there on the spread blanket, on top of the bed of grass. Thoughts of him flowing through my head. My body aching at the pain of the loss.
Sounds from behind me getting closer and closer. Footsteps, getting even closer. Suddenly as I look above me, looking down. His crystal blue eyes starring into me.
My heart stops aching, my soul goes silent in delight, my head goes calm.
Then I wake up.
The ache, the pain, the sadness, the sorrow, the anger..all back, and he is gone.
This is truly my living hell!

His eyes were the colour of the southern shallow sea just before the break of a gentle wave at shore in the first hour of sunrise

It did hurt, it hurt her like hell. His muted thoughts that cut her

flesh of poetry open with silent knives, yet what he didn't know is

that, with his silences, he was only teaching her to live without

him. He was her cocoon, but it was too late... She was

becoming a butterfly. And with her wings of poetry she would

soon learn how to fly. And, he will break.. and it will hurt him

see her leave but it will be too late, she wont look back, for she will

be free.
