It's a habit now
To live in the darkness
That's the only thing I get to adore
It pains to see the daylight any more.

You know
I have a mind of my own.
I promise you it works fine.
You know
I have endless ideas.
I promise you they're all mine.

But when you lead I follow
And when you speak I follow
And where you look I follow
And where you walk I follow.

Even though I never know
Where your path will lead,
My body can't help but follow you
Like my heart can't help but beat.

I don't know why and don't ask me why
I fail to take the lead
Or speak when I want
Or look where I want
Or walk where I want.

I promise you
I have a mind of my own!
You know it works just fine!
I promise you
I have endless ideas!
Please believe that they're all mine.

They're beautiful and creative and honest and unique.
I long to share them, but I don't know how.
I don't know who will teach.

So
I'll just do what I've always done.
I'll follow your lead.
Like I've always done.
Not my favorite, but might as well share.

I'm a creature of habit.
I get easily confused with constant change.
So please excuse me if I'm still hanging onto us when you have already left me ages ago.
Missing you has become a terrible habit of mine.

Just woke up
Feeling like crap
The regular routine
The usual scene

Dying of boredom
Feeling lonesome
Waiting for something catastrophic
Wanting to do something idiotic

Desperate for craziness
Hoping for some happiness
But I have no time to throw away
So I have nothing else to say

Having no excess time
To do good or to commit crime
Because everything flies so vast
Everyone else is moving really vast

Only looking forward
Only wanting the reward
What is happening to the earth?
Life is surely getting absurd

We should enjoy the journey
Live a little and be happy
So put a smile to your face
Do not look back to yesterday

Everyday is special
Things just don't happen twice
Don't waste time
Go on and roll the dice

Enjoy every moment
Make it monumental
Ignore the horrid comments
Make the day supernatural

Reach the unfulfilled plans
Grasp the impossible dreams
We can't until we admit
That were too afraid to break this habit

Just to conclude
I have one last thing to say
I have no time to look away
Just way too excited for this typical day
Feedback is highly appreciated and welcome <3

I'm just one line

in a line of long lines

identical to each as you weave

                 same mistake after mistake

 thinking you choose to break

                the habit with each **one

AWESOME

Excited about our vacation
We knew it was going to cost some
But since it was to Hawaii
We were sure it would be awesome.

We went whale watching
And guess what, we saw some.
They were leaping up high
Out of the water, it was awesome.

The captain shared his tobacco.
I had always wanted to chaw some.
I hated the taste, but he didn’t.
He really believed it was awesome.

We went through a garden
And looked at each blossom.
They were beautiful to see
The colors were pretty awesome.

And the hospitality staff too,
We didn’t even have to boss ‘em.
They anticipated our wishes
They were all totally awesome.

We ended the trip with snacks
And we couldn’t wait to go nosh ‘em.
They call snacks pupus in Hawaii.
What can I say? Sort of awesome!

Settle down
I'm sinking in
     to this dingy motel tub.
Stain the water
     with the paint
from my sardonic, smiling face
now, babe, I got a flower in my hatband and
a sloshing bottle in my white gloved hand.
Do you think we'll still be laughing
                              in the morning...?

Blinking lights and bleary eyes
in a neon wash for a bloodshot lifetime,
and a swallow
     is all I wanna take.

Besides, I'm still holding the bag.

Puddle up
pull the plug
     colors circle 'round the drain
Pollute the night
     with a laugh
from inside this facepaint bath.
And, babe, I been swirled 'round the world's full glass
and, for a bit, I guess, it was a helluva gas
but, ya know,
nobody makes it in the end...

so where's the joke end or begin?

Reddened nose and ***** jokes.
Life's a vacation, I'm a pig in a poke
and a mouthful
is all I need to take...

We all get left holding the bag.

it takes twenty one days
to build a new habit*
and you came back to me
on the twentieth day
