There once was a man from Green Bay
Who made it a habit each day
     To ****** an udder
     While churning his butter,
Then go for a nap in the hay.

There are certain smiles that bend the broken crooked,

certain shades of green light that wilt flowers in the field.

It is an ‘as if autumn walked in with a jug of herbicide

and started perfuming life with death.’

Yes, certain smiles that stand on stilts to prop them up.

Smiles leaving someone so bent that they see nothing

save for dirt staring back at them.

There are certain smiles that bend the broken crooked.

Clad in green and white,
With all unyielding mettle,

The clock is still there in the wall
But no-body is there in the room
to see whether it's hands move.

What good of knowing the exact time
When none has time
The ryhms of our child-hood, we had left
in the green-field decades before.

Now, he keeps peeping into the world through the glass of his mobile phone and
As you know,
the world is too big to see in a life.

So, he has no time to see the ancient wall
or the clock fixed to it
But still the clock moves with passage of time
Like those ryhms of our tongues
Still playing in the green --
Days to months and months to years --
Like the clock in the wall or
the wall with the clock.

It’s green for you and black for me
Each color plays its part
It’s green for you and black for me
The icon of each heart

Then I met you and you met me
There at the waterfall
How I touched you and you touched me
We never touched at all

Green for you has always been true
But black for me’s too cold
Your green awoke my dreaming soul
Exposing color bold

It’s green for you, now red for me
A tender rose unfurled
The green of you with the red of me
Blossoming in the world
My attempt at a ballad in common meter for a prompt "Red".

Ferns tall enough to drown it
Shoulder high and still growing
Green as summer turns greener still
Air heavy with the scent of wildflowers and warm grass
Eyes drunk on colour and sunbeams
Heart light and hopeful as this season continues to bloom

What is between schocking red, earthly pink, and plummed purple?

Life. Grass. A trembling leaf. Force of green.
My three year old  Serviceberry tree planted in memory has this year bore the berries. The colors shock.

feed me green grapes
kisses down my nape
sing songs of woven fate
you are my Odyssey
you are my great
the volcanic eruption to set my heart ablaze
the diamond perfection i cannot help but gaze
i cannot help by sway to the timber
of you strumming my heart strings
each and everyday
feed me green grapes
with you i am safe

You know it's true when I say
that we are messed up
in our own little way.

We cry and complain
This is a mess
but when it's gone
our life's just too plain
We miss the madness.

But that's human nature
by which we abide
Because the grass is always greener
on the other side.
