I closed my eyes against the mortal limitations of this world and settled back to watch reruns of my youth. Discouragement and dissatisfaction gave way to golden hours and glory days, depicted in vivid technicolour and accompanied by a flugelhorn fandango.

Pure as baby's breath
Veils be blessed with good repute
when two becomes one

New day, new haiku!
Feeling better today, too, slowly but surely!
As promised, I'm moving onto the daughters of Hephaestus and Aglaia [aka Kharis, one of the three Charites] and the first woman of myth is Eukleia [aka Eucleia], who is a goddess of good repute and glory.

There isn't much on her per say, but she is linked with Artemis. Sometimes, people take Eukleia for Artemis. Well, that's what Plutarch did anyway.
Like her mother and aunts, she was known to be an attendant for Aphrodite as well as representing the good repute of a pure bride.

Baby's breath is known to symbolise innocence, which links in with a beautiful bride in white and I always like to think that Eukleia blesses the veils of every bride before they walk down the aisle.
I wanted to paint the image of a final blessing for a woman before she walks down the aisle to be one with her other half.

Anyway, thank you all for growing followers, I'm forever humbled and grateful for the support 🙏🌹💜

Be back tomorrow with another one!
Much love,

A thousand beetles scurry up a hill,
Above, a hundred foreign beetles wish them ill,
Their rifle sights through slits in concrete bunkers weave,
A spiderweb of fire.

Now grieve each carapace, dry and still,
As you aspire to one day k*ll
or die defending your concrete tomb upon the hill,
For your, as every, generation seeks,
Glory to the strong! Death to the weak!

So many paths we had to thread
Paths of the living and the dead
So many directions in our heads
Direction leading to hell instead

The path we seek in effect
Will lead to our future
The path we choose are perfect
A reflection of our nature

These are paths unknown
We covered to be our own
These are the paths with the gods
We converted into our roads

Each road formed got its own tale
A tale told not verbally
A story of gloom and glory
Tale in the midst of swords

We may not remember
The content of the story
Of how truth became glory
But the roads knows best!

I see you
I've been doing my circles
Playing games, round after round
But hey now
I will hop my hurdles
Heart tied, wrapped and wound
I have a view
Dreaming dreams I've never dreamt of
Whatever have you done to me
I can vow
This is a different love
And life and eternity could be
With you
going through changes!

Give me mount everest death.

Give me cold glory.

Snow kissing faces,

One man among many.

Nearing the start

Of their final few breaths.

Miles and miles of whiteout

Remind you of the lights

Your mother left out

Too late into spring.

This comfort you will spend

Your final moments seeking.

Give me mount everest death.

Give me cold glory.

You knew there'd come a day

When you wouldn't meet the morning.

Maybe you didn't make it to the top.

Maybe you didn't kiss God's face.

Maybe your mother will never know

Your final resting place.

Give me mount everest death.

Give me cold glory.

Tell me the end

Of your entire life story.

Ice cold breath

Nearly dead in the snow.

Ten years ago

She would have made you come in

At the very first sign

Of blue tinted lips.

Now you're watching snow fall.

White on black fingertips.

Give me mount everest death.

Give me cold glory.

Somewhere out there

Your Mother's still mourning.

Wishing she could call you in.

Ruining your fun

One last time.

To see your blue lips

And make you hot chocolate

To warm your cold fingertips.

You shine more brighter thinking everyone can already see the complete obvious... When your just draining your energy away that will (sooner rather then later) exhaust ALL the light in you that's essentially shining brighter then anyone else! Potentially forcing you too see reason of what the obvious already had been giving away since the very moment you started "showing off"!
PS... It is what's called when you shove everyone else out...except your very own "pretentious" ego!
Thinking you can shine brighter than anyone else is fine and all. Only when it's for a greater point, then one's very self-importance clogging the way of your seemingly random non-negotiable reasoning that set's flames full of obliviousness!

no fame, no claim, no name

who shall we say is calling?

I am a man of
no fame, no claim, no name,
an average sinner, absent glory

a few seconds of rustling bustle.

did you ever write poetry?

once. but everything of earthly substance,
destined to fade into the ignominy of forgotten
vaults, where time takes it time and erodes all
into dust.

here, every word preserved. there is no time
in the dominion of creators, and you friend
are numbered in their midst, enshrined in many
hearts and eyes, and with every reading, each
reimagination, you are a reincarnated being
.
