last night i dreamt in one hundred years—or maybe Tuesday
(something close to an emotional green) with my wings, green-wings, solid feet,
a ****** of crows, & bluebird things

a thing lives inside of me: a barnacle surface, broomy orange, windy love, a natural disaster—i think a hurricane

between lust and between gators, these origins of sweets from a great war, helium-ballooned a golden crown into my iron bear mussels

a november cliff forged a giant's causeway; crystals bestowed on the honeywells, a giant's love of separation—we are all a salmon skin,
a fiery light, limestone a buck and a half in our sour grasps

last night i dreamt i saw the giants
they roared like lions, crushed ghost shrimp with their feet and laid their moss
inside of my navel where i used to hide rivers

a thing lives inside of me: it crashes, wrinkles into a beast, grimaces an Oedipal song, plays Saturn games, it rings

"Micro-organisms are the most powerful force known to man.

Everything relies on these tiny creatures,

And even us, the giants of the climates-

Are subject to a cold wind of a virus."

-

Micro-

Economica,

Control every activation-

Watch the electronics-

Spawn and stuff,

Primordial goo is gruff.

-

Enough fist-i-cuffs

It's rough.

-

Every expression, hides a smaller organism

Smiling and fizzling.

-

Micro-organisms,

We are controlled every hour.

We are the wretches...

-

Half smiles, packed with germ styles

It's sick.

It's just the way we function- on top of the garbage pile.

-

Grasp for the notion-

Emotion is an ocean

Grasp the notion-

Emotion's in commotion.

-

It's the essence of a penned hand,

Every letter is different,

that forms un-same words.

The chromosomes that form us-

We are entitled to so much corruption.

-

Bold faced lie-

It's agonizing, trying to fight

Having raging black mold

Conformation in cleaning out our insides.

-

But I smile...

My teeth crawling with it,

Everywhere,

Carry as I speak."

There are wolves in the forest
I'm the moon to which they howl

Thousands of stars ******
I'm the black sky in which they lie

Leaves fall from the trees
I'm the wind which carries them

Branches crack and plunges
I'm the sound of devastation

Saplings grow and evolve
I'm the light which guides them

Shrooms chatter and wonder
I'm the mellow forest bed

Trees stand as giants
I'm the solid ground of rock and soil

I am Everything

Sun setting
touching tops
of mountains.
Their shadows
stretching,
miles longer than they are tall.
Do you remember
when we were in love
with laughing?
Both giddy
and dancing
tip toe
on the tops of sleeping titans.
We were so young.
Watching our shadows stretch
across the valley floor.
We danced
and sung songs
and drank up the sun til drunk.
We didn’t care,
we were giants.

I found a bean in my room
Hope that means I'll be leaving soon
If I plant it in my carpet
And put an X to mark it

Maybe if I sow
Maybe it will grow
And have a great stock
And for a moment I'll just stand and gawk

Maybe it will grow into the sky
Past where the birds fly
Up past the clouds
Where humans are not allowed

Then like my old friend Jack
I'll pack me a sack
Then I'll start my climb
Up that big sturdy vine

At the top I wonder what I'll find
Will it be peace of mind
Will my giants all be slayed
Will I finally be unafraid

I want to be above the grind
And all of mankind
So I planted my bean and watered it well
You can see it's starting to grow and swell

The roots start to snake
Making my floor quake
But it didn't grow up, but sideways instead
I looked at it with dread

Even my daydreams
Are not as they seem
But nightmares ensues
My lovely dark muse

The rain is falling
Like the tears of a giant
On his great big cheeks
Oh! Don't cry, gentle giant
Things are better in the rain

I hammer down the iron blue
And feel the stone in hills I threw
A giant's tome in slate is wrought
The dragon's breath is surely sought

And with the flame and grey hill soul
I toil to make my body whole
To giants time may not take lives
But our body falls in loose demise

I build myself an arm of slate
A slated cage will separate
My slate heart and my slate lungs
My life will lead from where begun.

These hills are home to more than me
Bees and deer and wolves at times
I look down at my forgèd limbs
And see the grass has grown there too.

I roam the fields, but find my feet
Are reluctant to leave the soil they meet
I sink to my knees and find that I
Am now the hill beneath the sky.

Millenia pass, my sleep is long
Until some years when something's wrong
Strange beasts have come with clever paws
To take my slate for homes and wars.

I slumber still, giants are slow to rise
But count my word true, and count it wise
'Fore long I'll rise and take it back
And your slate beast world will fade to black.
An environmentalist poem taken from Welsh myths. I didn't even mean for it to be environmentalist, but there you go.

you are not brave enough to face it
you can hardly avoid it
and it clings to you
so tight
when your away it sings to you
and at night
you dream about it
and you can't get out

until you find someone new
in your same state as you

when you hurt your loved ones

for

addiction

when you leave what you've worked for

for

addiction

when you ignore your responsibilities

for

addiction

and face the giants together
this was based on a dream I had so sorry if it's kind of weird
Joseph Schneider Dec 2014
In the wake of giants we sing
We see no boundaries
We see no walls of abhorrence
Only prevalence
If we are not chasing a dream
We are helping someone else catch theirs
We think our dreams are too far fetched
We think because we are us we can't
What separates us from prosperity
Nothing but one fact
While we say "no I can't"
Those who prosper say "yes I can"
It's more simple than we imagine
