I liked that night, we were flying
As the black cloaked your stars, you had your eyes closed
Sleep-deprived and half dead I thought of loving you
It seemed foolish

On the ground, it felt dizzy
like you spun me around
Friendly smiles were small
Everything was so dead I didn’t think of you

I don’t know the day where I thought of it as more
It wasn’t a day but a memory, a rememory
The buttons were pushed before I was ready

Anxiously I worked and worked and acted like your honey didn’t matter to me
It didn’t, I convince myself even now
But the moment came in capitals
You thought I was unattainable

The breaks were pressed by those closest
Of course they were, it’s what they’re there for
I waited and waited and waited and I got tiny answers

I got fragments, particles, portions
I never got it all
I still don’t have it all
Is this you
Is this my body?
Worse, is it my mind

Tell me now, if I ask too much
Tell me now, if communication won’t be our thing
Tell me now If we won’t be our own thing
But just tell me
Tell me anything
Because I need to be told

The two flying fish

tails wiggle   and they  glide through

the air  soaring hovering

i stayed until midnight
standing at the bus stop
waiting to go to the airport
to the board the plane
to the moon

because i heard
it doesn’t shine as bright

now that it has you

Lost, panicked ******* morons getting under my feet.
Twenty ******* dollars for a sausage roll to eat.
Duty-free's a ******* joke, it's cheaper on the street.
And I would rather sit on a bed of nails,
Than this ******* airport seat.

******* airports.

4:
I am still standing on two feet...
I'm starting to put on the heat...
I'm planning to fly high...
Into the night sky...
No one will reach me...
I will look around and I will see...
I will forget all the bad things...
And I will fly on my own two wings...
Up in the air, I can laugh into the wind...
I will leave my sorrows behind...
No heavy rock on my back...
No more things which I lack...
Some people won't notice that I'm not there...
Some people might see that I'm not to be found anywhere...
But I can't really care...
Because I'm here...

Just above the endless sky,
Beyond the clouds we fly.
Among the air as a whole.
I nearly lose my soul.

Lost in thought my head goes off.
In the distance I hear a cough.
If only it could wake me now.
I move my face and frown my brow.

A little bird flying by.
I wave and said it "hi".
She looked at me and flew me past.
I didn't want to see the last.

Opening my eyes I see my class.
I should pay attention to pass.
But only a minute or two I tried.
And back I was in my evening glide.
This poem is about not being able to focus your attention, and accidentally drifting off while important things are being said or done. It took me a while before I could controll my "daydreaming" in class, and it sure did ruin alot of classes for me in the past.

Rocket Man : Still flying

It’s cold as Hell up here in outer space.
I left the old me way behind.
It’s hard to see that there’s another way.
I always said that I wanted to fly.

But now I’m way up here, spinning out of control.
I need a safe space to reel me in, but I can’t grab a hold.
So I’m gonna fly even higher than I’ve ever been before.
I’m a rocket man who is swimming far away from the shore.

I never wanted to be a rocket man.
They just let me go alone, so I took the chance.

And I think I’m gonna find a way to be,
Got wings attached, no ejector seat
And I’m travelling faster than I ever should,
I’ve gone a million miles further than they said I could.

Left Mars behind, I think it’s been gone a year.
No turning back time now, the Earth’s not here.
A distant star that I can no longer see.
I’m drifting away and there’s no tractor beam.

I never wanted to be a rocket man.
They just let me go alone, so I took the chance.

Man on a mission, searching galaxies.
A lonely man in space alone.
I fly with shooting stars, they comfort me.
I guess we’re both a long, long way from home.

My destination is the universe.
A forward explorer from way away.
Forever searching for the perfect words,
But all I find is more stars in space.

I never wanted to be a rocket man…

we were promised flying cars
and big jet dreams
filled with smiles for miles
on white yachts
under tangerine skies
but all we got was
a dull pocket watch
with a timeless end
and that was enough
for the both of us
