Looking onward,
Sun sets the sky gold
Golden highlights on ember stones
As iron turns to molten lava blue
As the sun settles on the rise
Rose colored stones darken
Green brush lit a fire in the changing leaves
Soon it sets dark
Set the embers aside
To turn to fire again in the morn
Sleep now child
It will all be answered
I love the fall. And campfires.

time is fettered
new leaf litter       feathers my doorstep

time is fettered
letters remain by the door
silence fills my chest

the wind carries feathers
flecked in blood
(violence in the food chain)
my brain releases
               and silence fills my chest

The last rose petals fall to the ground
leaving the rosehips bare
as autumn’s chill again comes around
to strip blooms that had been fair
The rosehips have hairs all wiry and grey
that also break off, one by one
Her color is gone, she fades away
until this rose lady’s season is done
Her petals arrayed on frosty soil
decay gently in the cold rain
while in her hips, seeds are born
to bring forth new roses again
An autumnal poem that personifies a rose going into the winter.

Gray hairs sprouting up like testimonies
The smoke from burning bridges makes it hard to see
If I can walk back across to the other side
Just to tell you I always cared, affectionately

Leaves never fall the same way twice
To see them drop again, a kaleidoscope in descent
Pieces that come together to make a new puzzle
Under the tree, between the jigsaw creases are we both in?

A love so delicate
How did we get to intricate
Set us free
Didn't know it's all you wanted to be.

But then you unwrapped yourself
The moment I left
Something I will always recall
It's the fall
You shamelessly aimed
To call.

Your flavors dance on my taste buds like a vine.
In lattes, baked goods, and candles so bright,
You bring warmth and joy to my autumn night.

Your aroma fills the crisp air,
Invigorating all who dare
To savor your sweet, spicy delight,
As leaves turn golden, and nights grow tight.

Your magic is in every sip,
A symphony of flavors, a trip
To a land of comfort, and cozy cheer,
Where pumpkin spice brings us near.
Its offically October so I quickly came up with a poem abt pumpkin spice

I've always stayed behind
never  up front and confident
unlike my friends...
always high and mighty

up front they stay
always leaving me behind
never waiting
at some point they keep me at the edge

instead of being at the edge,
be behind that edge.
fall even
if it means always being there with someone

someone cares.
care? who will care for me?

Your ending they are always so swift to call,

one school goes back and it's officially Fall,

pumpkin pie quick to to the oven,

a thousand witches beckon their coven.

Be slow:

they'll be more sunny hurrahs, more bright highs,

it's not gone until it's gone this summer in the sky.

And it never leaves without saying goodbye.

It’s not the dank, damp, grey days.
It’s not the drizzle that seeps through the seams of my coat.
It’s not the dark mornings.
It’s not the dark evenings.

It’s the crisp air of an early morning frost.
It’s the spiders’ webs glistening with frozen dew.
It’s the shades and hues as the leaves turn golden.
It’s the peace and quiet as nature settles down for her long sleep.
Just some thoughts & reflections as autumn (fall) begins to take hold.
