Call me a emo
Just because I like those types of songs

Call me a loner
Just because we don't get along

Call me a ******
Just because I like flower beds

Call me whatever
Because I don't care what you've said

******
launched with so much
power.
It ripples across the air
into my head
dissolving into fear.
I look up and remember
they aren’t talking to me.
They wouldn’t say that to me.
Not because they have learned acceptance.
They just accept the fact that this ******
hits harder than they want to know.
Fear is what keeps their ignorance in check
and keeps me safe.
Somedays are good,
Somedays are bad.

Others will leave you,
Feeling quite sad

But never forget,
At the end of the day.

You're just a **** up,
**No matter what you say.

Call me queer, call me *******
But is my ****** life really that important to you?
I don't call you ****-cuffin, ***** eater, nor hetero freak
So why must I be insulted for my *** life while you remain unscathed?

Call me ****** all you want,
But let's be honest, my life isn't easy
But I'm still here
My heart still beats
I'm still strong

Call me fairy to your little heart's content
But answer me this, could your heart bare the abuse of every kind  for almost a decade?
Could your "holy" self withstand standing alone in the dark without so much as a friend?
I'm a "sinner" and I've withstood all those horrors and still came out strong

Call me a disgrace, an abomination, a freak
But answer this you pretentious *******,
Who's the one cursing people, condemning, hating, discriminating them for being nothing more than who they are?
That's right, you, not me
So think again, who's your god going to punish?
People who have done nothing wrong but be themselves?
Or the ignorant fools who think they are God and condemn others?

Call me ******, call me queer
I know who I am, and it's someone strong

Call me *******, call me fairy
I'm the one who will survive
Call me all you want,
It won't change who I am

This poem is dedicated to the memory of Admiral Albert "*****" Potter who displayed amazing bravery by wearing full drag through several major sea battles.  He was cashiered for insisting the Admiralty rename his ship HMS Butch instead of HMS Fearless. In fact the vessel was eventually renamed HMS Damp **** because it was full of ******.

A life on the ocean wave, **!
In the olden days of sail
When England's ships were proud and brave
And their crews were very male.

The Captain stood upon his bridge
Looking smart and flash;
But below the decks, the orders were
*** and *** and the lash.

The bosun went to the main gunroom,
**** Deadeye at the ready;
Initiation time had come
For little midshipman Freddy.

"Strap him o'er that cannon, lads!"
Roared the hirsute fellow,
"Gag his mouth securely, lads,
In case he tries to bellow!"

The sailors did as he had bid -
Refused and they'd be punished -
And they knew their turn would come
After the bosun had finished.

The bosun went up the poor young lad
And soon was going strong;
Midshipman Fred looked rather pained -
The Bosun was THICK and LONG.

Then came the turn of the other men
And they set to with a will;
Little Fred could not say no
Until they'd had their fill.

What a life our sailors had then,
Always singing shanties;
When men were men and big and butch
And cabin boys wore silk *******.

A life on the ocean wave, **!
With the rolling sea and the spray.
Sinking the Frogs and murdering Wogs
Kept England's sailors so ***.

OLÉ!  OLÉ!  OLÉ!  OLÉ!  OLÉ!  *

****** because at baby showers girls may only have PINK blankets
and boys may only have BLUE blankets.
****** because straight boys pretending to be *** are hilarious,
but *** guys are fashion accessories for girls to collect and fight over.
****** because I was bullied in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th grade for liking girls.
****** because the *** community thinks I'm pretending to be straight
and the straight community thinks I'm pretending to be ***.
****** because witches were burnt at the stake, and so were we.
****** because *** people are killed every single day for the love they have.
****** because transgender kids **** themselves because it's easier than feeling the disapproval of your parents.
****** because my dad insists that there are only two genders.
****** because if you have a ***** you are "he".
and if you have a ****** you are "she".
and if you break the rules you are "it" "drag queen" "******".
****** because if you identify as something other than what you were born as, they will refuse to respect that.
****** because they will only refer to you as what your ******* say.
****** because I am genderfluid and people will not respect that.
****** because I am bisexual and people cannot respect that.
****** because I will not tolerate your use of this word.

Whatever happened to bisexuality? You either choose one or the other. Well, *******. I exist. Feminicity and masculinity are partners in crime. I guess I'm two in one. I'm not better than you, but I'm sure better than most. In the end though, I love you. Even if the hate builds up,  I ******* love you.

A word I have heard a thousand times
A thousand different ways
But has always sounded the same,
Like ignorance

A word that has never left me feeling worthless
Or unloved
Just misunderstood

Even when followed by being thrown into the bathroom stall of a Girl's gym  locker room
Or by the few friends I had left helping me clean up my battered face and the hide the bruises

I have always been proud of the term ****** because even though it was said to be offensive
I was being acknowledged as me

But when the word was spilled by the woman who once rocked me to sleep till I was no longer scared
The woman who has always protected me
It was then that all the pain I ever should have felt
Took a hold of my heart and ran it up to my throat until the pain leaked from my eyes
I was angry
I was sad
And I was scared
Because I knew that word was always followed by violence
And I didn't think that I would be able to walk with my head held high from this one
My face turned red and my blood turned cold and I watched my father defend me
Finally I stopped him and I looked at her
And I said yes, but I'm your ******
