We are crossed in the corner
Seeded by selfish thought

Mind wandered in the ticking of time
Bent by insidious temptations

Step over the invisible boundaries
Doomed by conscience demons

We sit alone, spot light challenged
Drained by numb sensed chills

I'm happy
I'm strong
I'm not faithless
I often believe I am weightless
But today I have seen
Some cracks in between
the boards of the box where my name is

I confess it wouldn't surprise me
that you think it's highly unlikely
that a girl of my sage
should be in a cage
of faulty romantics unsightly

Not sure how I got in this mess
If you're the one, even less
Unstriking hight
Handsome and light
In the air are my hopes like a kite

This isn't the worst I have been
Wes was a fire times ten
I do think you're cute
With weirdness to boot
Do I have to endure this again?
Guys . . . I'm like, a Taylor Swift but without the bitterness. Not proud

In the realms of despair,
Glistens, a star in the dark.
Salvation, or is it the Morningstar?
Abomination might it be?
Fell for centuries, only to be
Embraced by death himself.
Fear trembles through me,
For I believed myself to be,
A daughter of the heavens,
a daughter of the light.
Entangled in the arms of Lucifer,
I turned out to be,
the darkest daughter, the dark bride.
Queen of the ******,
Doomed I am.

The heavens shake
and the vast expanses tremble,
against the might of the falling stars
the earth is not but a pitiful thimble.

The night is alight
and the darkness bright,
the stars are falling
and the heavens are calling.

The seas thrash
as eternity is smashed.
The birds cease there songs
And the wise ones play out
their warning gongs.

The peoples panic
and rulers flee,
the cities crumble
as the holy ones make
their dying plea.

When stars fall
darkness covers all.

When stars fall
we forget it all,
we forget our love,
we forget our hate,
we forget out troubles
we forget our pride.

We turn tail
we run and hide.
We fall into darkness
deep, deep into darkness.

Our life no longer is ours
When under the doomed spell
of the falling of the stars.

Sometimes I go the extra mile to make him laugh.
He locks my eyes,
Shoulders hunched, he sticks one hand deep in his pocket
and flashes his pearly whites as he puts a hand to his face.
He sweeps a finger under his eye,
as if to wipe away a tear.
There are no tears,
just laughter;
and grinning from ear to ear.

Drip dropping
Down to the abyss.
Drowning in the dark;
Drooping towards the depths.
It's dank and detestable,
Dreary and disgusting.

But it's doubtful that you'll determine
That deprivation of this disaster
Will deter your distasteful feelings.

So you decide to disguise it all
With one decent smile,
And dance into the deceitful.
And join the ******.
Alliteration leads to interesting results.

We have bulldozed the Garden of Eden;
we are nothing more than a parasite with an unending appetite
for destruction in the name of civilization.

Our monstrous monumental achievements can be viewed from space;
we are the cataclysmic legion, the unbeaten ******, the demon of freedom
with the desire to demolish and impoverish the last bastion arboretum.

We are mad and frenzied in our passion;
we are the phantasm assassin choking the very lungs we use to breathe
the misanthrope who carves materialistic thrones to sit on and wait for exalted death while we replant trees in self-centered glorification of hope.

We are doomed and we know it, but we still don't care;
we question science and bemoan nature for wreaking havoc, stare into the microscope looking for answers in the reverent appliance of defiance waiting to find the sparks to eternal life there.

We are the envy, the mistrust, the sadist and the snake;
we squabble over the scraps of apple peel and douse ourselves in ice cubes
whilst far away some African child walks 50 miles for a sip of clean water
we are the plague of mistakes broadcasting hurricanes to entertain.

We have bulldozed The Garden of Eden
now only the snake remains and there is no escape
freely offering the apple peel to those who obligingly accept

our epitaph will read:
humanity stepped back
to be overshadowed by an ape.
We cut down the forests, we fill our seas with plastics and oil, we release harmful gases into the air, we deplete the ozone layer, we ignore climate change and fresh clean water will be a commodity in 50 years.

She sings her sweet songs,
Calling all the sailors home;
*A homing beacon.
They're enchanted, unaware;
Their doom awaits them...

My dissatisfaction does not come from you,
It is not a reaction to your moods or your sometimes bleak outlook,
Nor your terrible self-imaging.

I remember laughing late into the night.
I recall with clarity falling in love with a woman who loved the world we found ourselves in and we laughed till we cried drunk on life and each other.

I sometimes wonder where that woman went.

At times I believe you when you say you whither within a relationship.
At times I believe that is part of my curse.

I do not choose a woman who is content to bake cookies and clean the house,
Though you do those things,
I chose you in your glory with all your lust and love and life.

Yours is a heart meant for freedom and no matter how loosely connected we are I am still the tether to which you are leashed,
And you are chaffing.

I do not want to let you go,
Nor have you asked to,
Yet what are we to do when the life you once celebrated is now oppressed from the summer heat?
I cannot offer shade cool enough to calm the fire smouldering inside of your breast.

Thus my dissatisfaction does not come from you,
Rather my bleak understanding of our future,
One I hope you know that I will do everything I can to discard.

I would have you happy and content.
I would have me the same.
