Evocative thoughts of the way our bodies interlocked
our fingers tightly woven like braids, only sunshine in your gaze
My complexity a recipe for brain-fog, robbed of the spontaneous blaze
living in fragmentation hoping if I kiss this green frog
then maybe a chocolate prince might melt my skin
Encapsulate my energy and wear me like perfume
make your four white walls our bedroom, to bloom like magic mushrooms
To leave this earthly body and ride the waves of the galaxy
slip you underneath my tongue, my personal ecstasy
Thought you could be the one but this is my warped trajectory
my destiny is filled with complexity, just a working bee collecting honey
Never expected me to find a remedy to this insanity of life on Earth
But baby it is none of my concern

If I should be melted down
You shall forever be what cools me.
If I should ever be completely mutilated
you are what mends me.
throughout the amount of time that I've pieced myself together
tore myself down,
then back up
around, through the loops, under the bridges,
I've grown tired of trying to figure out where I go.
I want you to tell me.
I, flimsy wax, will mold as you wish,
I, roadkill, will be the source of necromancy,
if you shall wish it.
I'm tired of faking as if I know what I am,
I KNOW NOTHING
except.
that I want to be as you want me to be.
So if I were to be bloodied and bruised
I'll allow you to be the reason, or if you'd rather
you can be justice.
If I should be sad,
you will always be my smile.
because I constantly make this
choice, apparently,
of loving you.
I don't know.
We possess a hidden bucket
And we thrive when it is full
We hurt when others reach inside
Our bucket to dip and pull

We soar with loving energy
When our bucket’s overflowing
It just takes a little kindness
To keep our spirit growing

We possess a hidden dipper
Which we use to fill or take
From the buckets of each other
It’s a choice we daily make

And it’s how we use our dipper
That defines our path in life
So let’s choose to fill each other
And spread joy instead of strife

Notice when your bucket’s full
You feel prosperous and strong
But if your bucket’s low or drained
Despair comes speeding along

You’ll find that when you fill a friend
Your bucket gets filled up too
So keep your bucket ever full
Filling others always fill you

Each of us has an invisible bucket. It is constantly emptied or filled, depending on what others say or do to us. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When it's empty, we feel awful.

Each of us also has an invisible dipper. When we use that dipper to fill other people's buckets -- by saying or doing things to increase their positive emotions -- we also fill our own bucket. But when we use that dipper to dip from others' buckets -- by saying or doing things that decrease their positive emotions -- we diminish ourselves.

Like the cup that runneth over, a full bucket gives us a positive outlook and renewed energy. Every drop in that bucket makes us stronger and more optimistic.

But an empty bucket poisons our outlook, saps our energy, and undermines our will. That's why every time someone dips from our bucket, it hurts us.

So we face a choice every moment of every day: We can fill one another's buckets, or we can dip from them. It's an important choice -- one that profoundly influences our relationships, productivity, health, and happiness.

Hard-Bitten

The gun is on the pulse, pull the trigger or live.
Truth or false is not a choice they are willing to give.
It’s you versus us, versus the things that they did.
Do you believe and trust or never forgive?

They claim to be our protection,
But are unwilling to allow closer inspection,
For they have no reflection as they sold their souls.
The ‘God’s’ teach us genuflection,
Because their badge is misinformation,
And their prison plantations are only built for gold.

A man is never born free,
There is always a price that must be paid;
And from your very first day to the day with the *****,
You are made to work, digging your own grave.
One day at a time, there is a game that must be played.

Choice is not a thing we choose without regret.
Do we get out of bed or put a bullet in our head?
With life’s hands ‘round your neck, I’d say the choice is made,
So put a smile on your face and just hope for the best.

It’s a pretty world if your mind is blind.
It’s a lucky life if you are not kind.
It’s a ******* good day; a good day to die.
It’s a choice we made when we chose to no longer cry.

Raven Blue Nov 2020
Wondering around, oblivious of my dream;
Sleeping so tight, that no one could make me scream.
Heathers everywhere;
Black rhododendrons nowhere.
I might be stuck in my dream,
For it is a sweet dream.
I might not see any gleam,
For this will be my last, it seems.

This is my station

This is my station.  This is my place to be.
When all is said and done, I am not free.
I guess I never left you with the best,
Of my heart, but this is my station.

This is my freedom of choice.
With all I had and threw away,
I know you must have felt betrayed,
But this is my station.
This is the place where I belong.
There is no other way.

that's what i'm telling myself as i think of her.
her best friends messaged me
i broke her heart.
would they have preferred that i
continue to hurt us?
i miss her, i miss her a lot.
i know she doesn't understand this
and that her friends hate me so very much.
relax, Gaige, I hate myself a fuckton more
it was the right choice, this is what needed to be done
we weren't good for each other.
god but i feel like ****. i feel so sad and alone and
**** but..
was it?
i never posted something this short, it was supposed to be posted yesterday. she ended up making another account and we talked. and we're back together. i told her this was the only chance we're giving us, we can't give ourselves any other choice. I'm really sad sick.

War of roses
War of roses
One will be betrothed
War of roses
War of roses
The other shall be loathed

Which one is left
Which one is taken
This War of roses has me shaken
Which one is here
Which on is there
This war of roses has awakened

War of roses
War of roses
One will be enshrined
War of roses
War of roses
The other n'er entwined

Which one is sought
Which come to nought
This war of roses must be fought
Who will win and who will lose?
This war of roses has me distraught

War of roses
War of roses
Whichever do I choose?
War of roses
War of roses
Which one will have to lose?
My buddy gave me a challenge. He said write a poem called War Of Roses, but thats all he gave me. He wanted to see what I would do with it. So this is what I came up with.

For real, keep it on loop
I dig it a lot, like mama’s corn soup
You feelin’ me, hearing that tune
Or maybe I’m in the wrong room
Get up on it, know what I mean
Jammin’ on hot scones with cream
This song needs to tell our life stories
We all have battles forever in our lives
When you hear the sound of pop pop, oh no
Kids gettin’ shot for a pair of shoes in Chicago

Tough neighbourhood street
Corrupt badges on the beat
Planting dope, selling candy at the corner shop
Writing songs, tagging everywhere, if you dare
Doin’ time, enter from behind, I never, I swear
Come out on parole, new king on throne, lost all control
If I had my time again, I’d save a lot more, forget ‘bout toys
Look over my shoulders, stick to the plan, escape from the boys

They aren’t speakin’ our language
Let’s get the hell outta there, somewhere tranquil
Day by day, lets see if we can crack the code
Try placing ones thoughts in a brand new abode
For better or worse, it’s up to you, not your corner crew
We grow up thinking we had to listen, who knew
Step outside the hood, look around, don’t be shy
Then buy a one-way Greyhound ticket, say bye bye
At the start it might feel hard, but give it a chance
You’ll be surprised what you find, just take that first glance

Tough neighbourhood street
Corrupt badges on the beat
Planting dope, selling candy at the corner shop
Writing songs, tagging everywhere, if you dare
Doin’ time, enter from behind, I never, I swear
Come out on parole, new king on throne, lost all control
If I had my time again, I’d save a lot more, forget ‘bout toys
Look over my shoulders, stick to the plan, escape from the boys

I must be drunk off all this pain
Judging by the way
These aches attack my brain

This bottle full of love
Is souring its taste
With each and every cold embrace

My reality is spinning
Spiraling towards my fate
In a world devoid of singing

Endless black becomes my vision
Lost at sea
Swimming with all my indecision

I can be free of this place
With one step over the edge
I take my leap of faith
