Maniacal Escape Jul 2020
Swinging in the breeze all day,
the sun is shining high,
warm glow upon my face.
Watching as the clouds pass by,
the sky an ocean blue,
a tranquil happy place.

The meadow sweeps out to beyond,
the flowers vibrant rich,
the hills are gentle green.
The birds sing merry songs of joy,
thier tune a cheery sound,
a picture so serene.

The children laugh and play bellow,
they run and jump and dance,
such energetic grace.
They monkey up onto my tree,
I smile as they climb high,
they squint and see my face.

They suddenly begin to scream,
fleeing in abject fear,
from my skeletal smile.
It's lonely swinging here alone,
nobody knows I'm here,
I wish they'd stayed a while

The people come to cut me down,
my rope is old and frail,
thier blade is sharp and new.
I think I'll stay here anyway,
my spirit is my own.
I rather like the view.

I wish to be the gentle breeze
Sweeping tearful eyes
Of the weary midday flower.
Or to be the horrid shadow
Casting fearful darkness
For a passer-by to rest.
A rippling river of white
I wish to be the one
Drenching thirst of arid earth.
Or to be a dancing wave
Of the mighty sea
Playing with a child.
A guild of fleeting clouds
Hiding splendid sun
For a homeless soul
Or the canopy of green
Thwarting rain for a home
I wish to be the one.
I wish to be a cresset
Guiding glimpse of hope
In the prosaic paths of pangs
Or to be a firefly
In the dim toilsome journey
Of a soul to his divine home.

Whispering monsoon breeze
Goes swish swish between the trees
Makes a good recce of the place
Green and proper the trees
Some laden with fruits, it’s pleased
Tickles the magpies hid amongst the leaves
Ruffles the sparrow pecking at the seeds
Waves at the clouds and the crows passing by
Giggles at the trembling basil leaves
The touch me nots, wiggle at the very thought
The champa flowers that slowly bloom
Heady the fragrance, wafts through the rooms
The swift monsoon breeze,
Whispers between the trees
Agile in its ways, soon leaves for another place

Dear you,
You know, the night isn't that dark tonight
Or maybe my thoughts are darker than every night,
Could also be that my room is pitch black-
Still seems better than the abandoned seashore shack.
Did you see it's star-less outside?
No moon either, in which I can confide.
So I lay, cigarette dangling between my fingers,
Watching the cold breeze mix with the smoke that lingers.
The murk seeps inside my skin
Yet I feel a hollowness herein.
My heart is stuck in the same gloomy plight,
Alas, the night isn't that dark tonight.

Tired and lonely,
Can't bear this heat.
Anger and impatience,
I accept defeat.
Tears and sorrow,
A glimpse of my pain.
Anguish and hatred,
Bow before my name.
I rise, oh I rise,
Well above the game.
You, not you,
No one can take away this pain.
When I sit alone,
In the company of my thoughts.
I feel lost.
Like the breeze,
Now here,now there, now gone.

Breathe the fresh air breeze.
Don't let the cold morning make you freeze.
Smiling will always be your way,
To make your great and peaceful day.
Day 8!!! 💞 June 25,2020
Often I would love life to just freeze,
only for a moment can it all please stop.

Allow me to breathe in this warm breeze,
Let me soak in the light and let it fill me.

But the sun won't stay in the sky forever,
no it will ever so slowly begin to drop.

And all the clarity will surely sever,
the hope I managed shall quickly flee.

So I'll feel this peace in all of its glory
before everything gets rather gory.
