you almost drowned that day, as we drank

in the sun by the coast. I mistook your flailing

arms for ones of praise, for the ocean smelt like safety.
I was selfishly tempting the rays to coat

me with a new skin, while she braided her salted hair and
you inhaled mouthfuls of souls lost at sea. When rescued,
all you said was:

“What a day.” And yes, the sand absorbed with ease between our toes
and the waves’ tantrum ended –
but it was the day. We became women who had to put on sunscreen

and eat three full meals and
lie in bed for a day after heartbreak.
My skin was coated with rules and reminders
and her hair was braided with questions
and your lungs inhaled fear.
We were different.

Barely Breathing .......

I had not told you of  this, not yet,
Until now, when it returns clearly,
Within the timelessness of interior life.
A month to the day and the memory,
Abides in its own identity, being itself.

Into this now familiar unboundedness
Came a new and exquisite presence,
A force field tenderly embracing me -
Just along the edges of my seated form.
Unmistakably you. A quiet certainty.
How could I know? But I knew.
As it dissolved, a light of the palest green,
Took its place, glowing a blessing.

Breathing became the intake of bliss
made into the finest substance, and
I was renewed, visited, complete.

Give me a moment I've lost my breath.
Hold it in, it's all I've got left.
Renew the true
And exhale the stale.

Once it slips away, I g(r)asp!
Running after it, it goes too fast!
Look, almost nothing left,
Better take a breather,
Hope it will last..

Ask yourself what's the difference between either and neither?
Better not to choose,
Waste your time, it's the breath you'll lose.

But, a 'mountain high' can be found;
Upward, one may look at a mountain around,
But it is here under your feet, the highest earthly ground.

Hold me up prayer of the nigh,

Immanent and strong~
I hear thy song.

Wrap me in
What there is to see.

Dream out ten thousand flowers,

A dream of you and me.

What's left to say
But that "I love you."

There's a hole in my ceiling
the roof caved in a bit
There's a hole in my ceiling
dust keeps falling in
There's a hole in my ceiling
I have to turn off my fan
There's a hole in my ceiling
I wish there wasn't
There's a hole in my ceiling
here's where it gets personal
There's a hole in my ceiling
it was definetly not optional
There's a hole in my ceiling
maybe it's telling me something
There's a hole in my ceiling
what if it had fell in on me?
There's a hole in my ceiling
and it's got me thinking
There's a hole in my ceiling
bigger than the one in my heart
There's a hole in my ceiling.
where's the button? I need to restart...

You hear it
Outside your room,
Almost like a whisper.
You lean closer
Knowing no one else is home.

All night
Things have been
Out of place:
Moved, scattered, tampered
Destroyed.
You keep looking
Over your shoulder.
Is someone there?
You ask yourself.
But only darkness
Awaits your gaze
Until now...

A figure, almost golden
Yet, you know you are alone
Only the stranger outside your room.
Again, you lean closer,
The breathing now a faint whisper:
"Reactivated"
The voice says
As you turn on your flashlight.
Shia surprise
He lunges towards you.
Slamming the door,
You are now safe

quiet your breathing now
the night air leaks through the crack in my window
as common sense drips from the cracks in my mind
laughter and smiles all day
alone now
sadness as black as the night

When someone
tells you
"you are breathing,"
you find yourself
peeved
because now you
are aware
and are
consciously
taking a breath.

I look at you
and without saying
a word, I am told
"you are breathing."
I find myself
saved
because now I
am aware
and am
breathing again.
This is what it feels like when you /tell me you/ love me.
Every moment of my dear life
I constantly think about you;
Why would you take my breath away
every time I feel alive?
I see you there
everywhere behind my happiness;
Does it make you feel satisfied
depriving me of my bright laughter?
Does it make you fulfilled
haunting me until my nigh death?
Oh you made me watch stars again
why are there people quavering my
motionless body?
Breathe
BREATHE
I am really sad to say
I can’t

Breathing.
You dont realize you do it but then you think
about how you are breathing,
and you realize that you can stop.
