A is the first letter of the alphabet does it mean that it is number 1
Andreas begins with an A does this mean I am the number one son

All I know is when Mom selected my name I became fair game
Although “attention deficit” would be more apt just the same

Another thought to ponder is why I like to wander so much
Amazingly enough it's not what you think as such

Achievement is my middle name some say keener should be it
After much thought I have to agree that’s a better fit

Acclaimed I am not with no fame to call my own
Against the headwinds of life the door has many times been shown

An athlete I aspired to become a star in track no less
Aptly I would come up the rear once more with little success

Always the optimist my attention turned to girls
Ablaze that theory went even for those with curls

Aging has now firmly set in
Actualization now being taken for a spin

Awareness as to who I am
Allows me to confess I’d rather be a “Sam”

Anchors away I say
Additional admissions left for another day

The little robin sang, ‘I can’t fly.
Mother, I desire to fly.
But I fear the dreadful descent.
I fear the immeasurable depth.’

The mother robin replied, ‘Fly! For ye shall
Realize the profundity,
For such is your curiosity
Maybe not now but shall regret later.’

The little robin beheld downwards with a terror.
Paced backwards and then sprinted ahead.
Jumped from the branch;
Dived into the unfathomable depth of ocean.
Fluttered his wings intensely yet down he sinks!
Trepidation occupied his delicate heart…

Suddenly, a tender zephyr of the spring held him
And shot him up into the heavens.
Terror turned into delight in an instant,
As he embraced the white cotton with his wings.
Then, the little robin observed his miniature abode
And the enormous world ahead yet to be discovered!

Had a conversation with my Boss
He said he is the common sufferer
Meaning of common sufferer –
everybody takes leave or two from their job
But he is a full-time worker for maintaining
his company and studying more to be more attain.
Should I be sad about it that he works so much more than all of us
Or
be happy that he has achieved so much in life
Irony of life..
Hard work pays but hard work takes away a lot too..

I'm dying,
Let me be,
I've lived long, proud an free,

I'm dying, son
With no scent of regret,
I've seen you achieve goals,
I've seen you become the best,

I'm dying,
Let me be,
I haven't had everything,
But I had all I could ever need,

The road beyond is
Long, and untraveled.
Empty, barren,
And I step forward.

Cold and damp at my bare feet
But determined to find my way,
I continue.

Every step,
Painstaking.
Every time I stumble,
Heartbreaking.

I keep going.
Rocks and rough ground
My feet begin to bleed.
But I must walk this road.

I reach the end and look back.
Avast mountains and lakes,
There lies the beginning of the road at the horizon.

Miles I've come,
And all too soon I could fall,
But I grasp your hand as you pull me
Over this railing,
And save me from falling again.
She raises her hand in victory
For being an outstanding student
Always exercising her mind
And making valuable usage of her time
Willing to learn everything
As she embarks on her journey
With every new page
She continued to become more sage

Spread your wings tonight,
And get ready to fly,
There is a life changing light,
Up there in the sky;

If you choose to stay back,
Definitely not with me,
No one stays in the dark,
And end up being free;

No matter how much the tears,
It won't be enough to wash your pain,
So join me lets overcome our fears,
There is so much out there to gain;

Remember this as we fly,
Make up your mind to see the light,
All you have to do is aim high,
Sucess is the only thing that's right;

So if you agree to fly with me,
We'll encourage eachother all the way,
Until we get there eventually,
And live happier lives every other day.

They say pride comes before a fall
Which I do not believe at all,
For how would we progress unless
We can take pride in our success?
'Tis pride in success I believe
That motivates us to achieve.
So whether they be big or small
Celebrate your achievements all!
Take pride in any job well done
And apologise to no one!

Today was my greatest accomplishment,
An achievement round which I rally

And yet you're another absentee.

I drank from the pool of triumphs sweet,
Bitter as you would not share with me

For instead you're another absentee

Do not mistake their value is rare to me
But it seems an incomplete victory

Without you,
Absentee
