Innocence
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
You've lost it
I did too
Like a candle it fades
When winter is do
When you are cold
When I get lost
When we are alone,
I'll pay the cost
You tell me forget it
My heart still regrets it
Tell me I haven't lost it!
That beauty in me?
Not what they see,
But more--
Just below my fake smile
You are not a person
But I have lost you
You tell me, "I'm still here."
But that's only part of you
You are gone
What are you?
Who are you?
I feel your presence
Disappearing in me

Pretty Little Liar
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Pure beauty, no wisdom
All in her eyes
Such innocence, but so sinful
Others in despise
Blinding as the sun, gentle as the breeze
Causing them pain
Smells as a rose, sounds like an angel
She must be insane
Smiling so perfect, as the devil inside
Not as she seems
Loving and caring, she kills for her heart
She’s in your dreams
Watching you slip, she keeps you falling
She already has you
Sparkles in her eyes, from the devil deep down
What do you do?
She won’t stop, it’s in her nature
You burn as fire
Crying and deserted, you fell for her
A pretty little liar

Surviving Suicide
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
The pain of coming back to life
The pain of still being here
The pain of feeling death
Of being so close, so near

To the end of this dreadful life
To the end of this pain
To the end of this emptiness
It drives you insane

Past the point of sanity
Past the point of desolation
Past the last few moments
Before your souls detonation

Mental Break
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Do you hear me?
I'm talking to you!
Do you hear me?
You'll never pull through

Listen closely,
You're the cause of your pain
Listen closely,
It's you who's insane

Look in the mirror,
See those ugly scars
Look in the mirror,
You don't know who you are

Think about it,
You've lost your mind
Think about it,
You're the only of your kind

Cry, c'mon, cry
I dare you to
Cry, c'mon cry
The problem is you

I Don't Mean to Ramble
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
I'm sorry to mumble
But no one seems to care
I am sorry to ramble
But usually no one's there

I hope you don't misunderstand
I'm usually all alone
So I don't know how to talk
When others are home

I know I talk fast
But there's so much to say
A lifetime has passed
And the end's on it's way

So let me get in the last word
God know's it's also the first
A lifetime of silence
And now I'm in a hearse

Holder of Souls
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
My soul is killing me,
Could you hold it a while?
"Of course, for a price!"
He says with a smile

"My job is to take your pain,
And with it your soul,
But don't worry my dear,
When you want I'll let it go."

Okay I will try it
Anything to curve the pain
What's the worse that could come?
I'm already insane

So I sign the ****** line
With the scars on my wrist
And I cry one last time
Before pain ceases to exist

"Here we go, close your eyes."
He says with a grin
As he starts to sing
I see my deadly sin

I try to take it back
But I know that it's too late
I hate to go to hell
But now it is my fate

I open my eyes again
Because the devil is no liar
There's nothing, just emptiness
And a land of heat and fire

He promised me no pain
And this much was true
Now in hell forever
He holds your soul too

Try Me
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
I'll make you my hostage
And tie you up tight
I'm into *******
But only for tonight

I'll drive you insane
My nails scraping deep
You love the pain
You'll never want to sleep

I'm down for anything
Just here for a good time
I'll let you see everything
Let you think you're mine

When my lips meet the tip
It's all over from there
So I'll take a sip
'Cause I rode you bare

I left you there confused
Begging for more
It was you who was used
I evened the score

I Saw Him
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
I saw the hands that broke me
In more than one place
I hope you didn't see me
The look on my face

Today I met fear
That you'd turn and see
That you would come near
And break the rest of me

Today I met pain
Reliving your crimes
I panic in vain
Making them mine

Today I was still
With pain and remembrance
I began to feel ill
I couldn't finish a sentence

I felt myself shake
In the presence of my abuser
I felt the earth quake
It's his game and I am the loser

The Normal Ones
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
We are the cutters
Crying and weeping
We are the lovers
Searching and seeking
We are strong
But soft to the touch
We are happy
But not too much
We create friends
'Cause they don't come easy
We are almost at end
With the problems you see
We never go home
And wouldn't if we could
We don't feel alone
Just misunderstood
We are teenagers at a glance
Looking and praying
For one more chance
Standing not straying
We aren't trouble
Nor are we perfect
We live in a bubble
But we know we're worth it
We are the future
It's easy to see
That we will go further
Just you, you, and me

Love Poems
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Such beauty
Such artwork
Flows from the mind
What cries
What laughs
At the same time
What ends
What starts
Without a defined line

Such form
Such grace
In every pen stroke
A painting with words
Capturing minds
Freeing the souls
It's over, last line
Release the pen
And sigh

Who Are You?
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Are you alone?
Yes, who are you?
It's Pain, I've come back,
To show you what to do

No, please go away!
You can't stay here!
Why push me away?
I'm here to help dear

I won't leave you
But Pain, I said "I'm okay."
Say what you want my dear,
I'm here to say

Does it hurt?
Can you feel me now?
Never block Pain darling
You took a vow

I'm not just Pain
Can't you see?
You aren't just you,
You are me.

So be yourself a bit,
Experiment a while
Embrace your Pain
And fake a smile

Quick Fix
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Start drinking heavy liqueur
It'll curve the pain quicker
Start taking the happy pill
You have a void to fill

Go and smoke that cigarette
You haven't done that yet
Go and do a line
I bet you'll feel fine

What about ******?
You won't feel the pain again
What about shrooms?
Without them you're doomed

Try everything you can find
But keep in mind
The pain only hides
It returns sharper than knives

Haunted
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
Look at my tears
See how they glimmer
Look at my fears
How they make you shiver

Look at my soul
So empty and hollow
Look at the hole
That I call my sorrow

Listen to my screams
Of dread and pain
Listen to my dreams
They control my brain

In this life I'm haunted
Because I've seen the next
In this life I'm taunted
By the ones I lay to rest

Medication
Kaitlyn Mitchell Oct 2016
I woke up today and took my medication
I looked at the time and wondered why
It was noon and I was still alive

I woke up today and took my medication
I made a meal that I normally adore
I felt nothing and lived some more

I woke up today and took my medication
At least I don't want to take my own life
Now I don't have to live by the knife

I woke up today and took my medication
I felt like a bottle and put the pills away
I may be a zombie but only for today

I woke up today and didn't take my medication
I laughed and cried and I was enraged
But for once in my life I was engaged

— The End —
