Eyes that are a shade of blue,
Shriek in the light when pulled into view.

All your cards are black,
And all your thoughts are white.
All the colors you see,
Are found in an old movie.
This pallet of thought renders you blind.
The world is made of many shades,
Stop thinking in one hue.
And think of the entire spectrum,
That is screaming out at you.

I nearly started to hyperventilate,
Because a thought occurred to me.
I thought about how long my tongue is,
And how it goes all the way down my throat.

My feet can feel the ground,
But I can’t feel my feet.

Mouth is dry,
Eyes are red,
Where is my ******* head.
I feel like a space man.
Here comes the police man.
If he asks for papers,
I will answer “scissors.”

Like the rain I was born to fall,
Down to the earth to rise,
And someday to return.
I greet the sky with green fingers.
And hold the sun’s hand.
Her touch is like breathing to me,
It keeps me alive,
And in return I keep you too.
As I drift to the grave I leave my kids in my place,
Where they will grow,
And hold the sun’s hand as I did long ago.

Two daughters,
Branch off me.
Form one child,
An image of me.

I am in them,
And they are in me.
My two daughters,
In the gaps between stars I can see.

The world is a blur but one image comes in focus,
A face they will remember as an aged version of their own.
My two daughters are staring at me.
I am a still image in a moving movie.

There is something blocking the light in front of me,
And creeping up behind me.
A shadow without a cast,
Seemingly moving by itself.
Killing the light fast enough,
For the darkness to catch up.

What drives us to take our lives?!
What turns the hand against the one it belongs to?
Something we resist wants to bring us down.
It is creeping up on you.
