I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas
Not like the ones we used to know
Where the hoods and robes are
making things all *****
Those kooks dressed up white as snow

I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas
His uni underneath the tree
With his new Doc Martins
That he'll look smart in
To show his mentality

I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas
I'm glad it only is one night
With his new plaid shirt on
This racist *****
Hia  tree...has no coloured lights

I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas
What would he do if he just knew
The KKK man
Had better re-plan
His Christ....he was born a jew

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, black or white, green or grey, red, brown and yellow. Have a wonderful Christmas Season, because it is Christmas after all.....and remember, this is just a poem, just fiction. I want a White Christmas, but, one with every colour of the rainbow treated equally, and hopefully some nice prezzies and a song or two by Andy Williams and Bing Crosby.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Hal Loyd Denton Jan 2012
Christmas Knowing
We mourn the life of Elisabeth Edwards a life
Truly that was Magnificence blasted
She truly will be home for Christmas

It happens imperceptibly on any given winters frosty morn the Christmas spirit returns where has it been many places here are the
Most important places Heaven and church houses the angels and carolers coalesce in this regard both act kind of alike both groups
Highly anticipate this time and then they both seem to rush out unknowing they bring the holy hush and sacred atmosphere along
Since they rush out at such speed it has no time it remain with them and then the other places the Christmas spirit resides in last year’s empty
Boxes quietly put away in closets, attics, and back bedrooms or in drawers with ribbons and even on the sharp edges of scissors that
Were used to cut wrapping paper and this spirit slowly recedes to far corners of rooms in all our homes it never really is gone it was
To strong mingled with love joy and laughter and hearts and souls of families you call it forth by speaking on the phone or speaking
To one another about it in the depths of each soul it has such a density it is layered by all that makes Christmas so great and real
It’s like blowing on embers that seem finished but by your gentle breath life is renewed at first just a small glow but with persistence
The reward a tiny flame and then the Yule log itself catches fire the inward dormant spirit floods the home on the wings of the cozy
Fire momentarily turn your attention to the outside what pleasure you can be the loneliest rejected person but driving by you see a
Families tree in the window what is it like the silver moonlight when it drenches the darkness it Illuminates everything it touches it is soft
You soften as well by looking at their tree you are seeing and feel welcome you magnify the setting to grand and immeasurable true
Depths your eyes pulled from the scene but not from the lasting effects of being conscious undivided from others and the love they
Feel for one another then returning in doors and especially filled with delight if your neighbor is one that has his yard and house
Decorated as much as you do you have to go look out the window for another look your window absolutely beautiful not only the
Tree is glory dressed in ***** of all colors deep greens with white powdered flow lines tiny Santa smiling beside rooftop chimney red *****
With brown reindeers blue with widows each square filled with snow then your own window sprayed with snow from a can the little
Trees that were cut out like paper cut out dolls sprayed over then when they were removed left perfect trees of glass surrounded
By the snow spray, feel Christmas in the air if it were an older Christmas there would be tops as big as upside down bowls with a point
Red with wide yellow rings with children painted in blue a long curled rod would protrude from the top and it would finish with a wood
Handle shove it down several times pull your hand off watch it whirl a more extravagant gift a Ferris wheel a foot high yellow dream
With blue stars splashed about get lost in this twirling wonder down and up it goes beautiful dolls compete toy dish sets tea anyone
A large view of the room candles on the mantle loved ones look from pictures in frames on walls and tables but as I have said before
How much more they are present in the living that contain everything that they were when physically present now they are dispersed
Through the tiniest treasures some small enough to nuzzle your neck try to buy that and put it under the tree there breath is present
In yours their spirits more real and stronger than the timbers that hold the structure over your head to move from the Christmas spirit
To the human spirit a few years ago an experiment showed a lighting type of energy in flux coming from a human body they estimated
Its power would reach levels of atomic proportions if harnessed then unleashed you’re not from monkeys and you’re not weak clay
That can be easily erased we already know we are eternal an a room filled with loving caring families are unbeatable nothing can
Compare to it this is the envy of time and eternity only His love out shines it and is more valued comfort knows no bounds but it rests within
Wooden walls and halls decked with holly love the legal true tender of Christmas enjoy spend it with abandonment there are a lot
Who hurt the whole year it is now a fight to even say Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukah worse it has become unimportant how sad
There is such a thing as being too modern we need to find the old sign post give them our allegiance speak truthfully be kind this uplifts
A nation and its people

12\7\10 The honored dead of punch bowl and Pearl whisper softly.
Life contrasts with death but gives birth to harmony.
The dead guide the living into a higher arena.
We are called and pressed by the common that are now lofty
Children all see magic
You can see it in their eyes
Only little children see
Reindeer flying in the skies

A dragonfly, a lightning bug
No, a fairy ...can't you see
Through the eyes of a small child
What will be you know will be

Beneath the tallest mountains
In the glades and in the streams
There is magic that is hidden
And  magic makes the dreams

We know that wild ponies
Are all unicorns at rest
Their secret must stay hidden
And children hide it best

They're protected by the magic
By the fairies , just for one
The ponies live forever
Their job is never done

The magic shared by Santa
Is found on  fairy wings
It can be used when it's not Christmas
But, just for special things

A little girl name Sarah
Saw the fairies dance one night
She crept out her bedroom
To watch the fairy's  light

Everyone was sleeping
When little Sarah shut the door
She crossed the road in darkness
The girl was only four

She looked out at the darkness
Saw the fairies dancing 'round
Then into the woods she wandered
And she never made a sound

She walked toward the fairies
Always keeping them in sight
But the fairies didn't notice
As they danced away the night

She stopped, and watched them dancing
And she started dancing too
It was then it started snowing
What would Sarah do?

She turned back to the pathway
But, she was turned around
She tripped upon a tree root
And she tumbled to the ground

The fairies heard her falling
They all hid deep in the trees
Now, somewhere in the darkness
Sarah rose up on her knees

She looked around and wondered
Will I get back to my house?
The forest was dead quiet
You could not even hear a mouse

She cried and then remembered
What her parents always said
And if she didn't follow
She'd be home safe in her bed

Her parents said "Dear Sarah"
"When the fairies dance at night"
"Stay and watch them from the window"
"don't dare follow fairy light"

Sarah now grew tired
And soon she fell asleep
And into Sarah's resting head
Dreams did start to creep

She dreamed of Christmas Ponies
Her parents, winter snow
Santa Claus and puppies
And the direction she must go

She woke and looked about her
No tracks where fairies stepped
Grass and leaves, a blanket
were placed upon her while she slept

Standing right before her
As white as winter snow
Was a secret Christmas pony
Surrounded by a golden glow

He moved forward toward Sarah
Put his head down as she stood
She knew then that this pony
Would help her get home from this wood

She knew he was a Christmas Pony
Though his horn was not in sight
The fairies helped her climb aboard him
And walked them off into the night

The woods were lit by fairy magic
The trees glowed bright as if midday
The pony walked slow with Sarah riding
They met more ponies on the way

For near an hour they did venture
Until they reached the roadside wall
The pony stopped and she dismounted
The fairies helped, so she'd not fall

She climbed the wall and left the pony
The fairies and the woods behind
She went on in, and moved so silent
Not quite sure what she would find

The house was dark as Sarah entered
Her parents were still fast asleep
She knew that they would not believe her
So to her room, she did creep

In the morning, after breakfast
She went on out to have a look
All she saw was trees and grasses
And in the distance, the small brook

Time passed by, her secret hidden
She never told a single soul
But, every night she dreamed of ponies
And of the one she rode with eyes of coal

Christmas now was fast approaching
Every night she'd watch the wood
She never left and went out walking
She always stayed home like she should

On Christmas Eve as she was sleeping
A vision came into her head
Sarah woke, went to the window
Left the warmth of her nice bed

There outside, beside the road wall
Standing, watching in the night
She saw three transformed Christmas Ponies
Their horns were lit by fairy light

The fairies danced among the tree limbs
The ponies played and jumped around
They looked up where our Sarah smiled
Fairy dancing with no sound

A flash of light and they all vanished
The time had come for them to go
The fairies flew into the woodland
And left one pony, white as snow

Sarah looked down from her window
And watched the pony turn to leave
She knew the reason that she saw him
Was that deep down, she did believe

So, if you look for Christmas Ponies
You will find them if you look
Believe they're real and you will see them
They're everywhere...not just in  a book.

Christmas brings lights that lighten every alley.
Christmas fills the void of each heart's saddened valley.
Christmas brings Santa with surprising gifts of toys.
Christmas brings laughter to mainly girls and boys.
Christmas brings carols sung by mellifluous voices.
Christmas brings fantasies that suit many choices.
Christmas adds glamour to the choicest street's splendour.
Christmas emits fun with its rare yuletide colour.
Christmas makes sad faces to beam with unfeigned smiles.
Christmas brings seasonal joy travelling several miles.
Christmas brings hope to the annually despondent.
Christmas brings Christ, ever in our hearts resident.
A belated Christmas poem I composed in december, 2019
time for decorations lights upon the tree
baubles and the bells  to bring some christmas glee
fill the christmas stocking with presents by the score
time for happiness christmas time once more

have a christmas party sing a christmas song
everybody dance as they sing along
make your christmas merry make your christmas bright
fill your heart with joy as you dance away the night

let the children play in the christmas snow
building lots of snowmen with there hearts aglow
making christmas merry as they play away
waiting for there presents on a christmas day

have merry christmas and a new year to
christmas time is here waitng just for you
christmas will be lonely this time around for me
no chocolate covered candy or  a christmas tree
hanging mistletoe and no christmas kiss
this years will be lonely all of this i miss

building snow men in the snow like we used to do
and the christmas glow i used to get from you
sitting by the fire on christmas night
watching logs burn brightly in the firelight

this year will be lonely now theres only me
just wont be the same like it used to be
ill be thinking of you at this time of year
wish you merry christmas as i shed a tear

so merry christmas darling where ever you may be
ill be thinking of you when there was you and me
opening the presents on a christmas day
christmas time this year will be so far away

christmas will be lonely this time around for me
no chocolate covered candy or  a christmas tree
hanging mistletoe and no christmas kiss
this years will be lonely all of this i miss

My minister said
Two Sundays ago, that
"Christmas will always disappoint."
It was jarring,
Unnerving.
A minister said such a thing?

But wait, keep listening.
You'll see it makes sense.
You'll see it's true.

The Jews were expecting
A king to overthrow the Romans.
They expected trumpets blaring,
A white horse carrying
Their savior.

They got a helpless baby
Heralded by shepherds
And the bleating of sheep,
Born of a poor peasant woman
In a poor peasant town
In a poor peasant barn
Of a poor peasant inn.
How disappointing.

We expect the family to be together
We expect love and happiness
During the Christmas season.

We did not expect
Financial troubles
Marital problems
Stress at work
College rejections
Fighting with the kids
Arguing with the parents

The tree didn't get decorated
Until December 21
The outdoor lights
Are still in boxes.
Advent was supposed to
Prepare us.
But we're not ready yet.

Christmas will always disappoint,
But the baby will not.

Christmas is a beginning.
Christmas is hope.

There is always hope in children.
They are the future.
Hope, most of all
Is in the child of God.

It is hope.
The "good part"
Is yet to come.

We plant seeds in Christmas
With the expectation of the future.
Jesus grew up,
Like babies do.
He changed the world.
He changed the individuals.

He fed the hungry
He gave sight to the blind
He comforted the beggars
He brought justice to the Temple
He taught his followers
He drove out the demons
He loved the sinners
He reached out to the outcasts

He lived with us
He walked with us
He loved us.

And we killed him.

But that wasn't going to stop the baby
The child we placed our hope in on Christmas.
He came back from the dead
And performed many miracles.

Then he left
But promised to return.
And so we wait
With the hope given to us
By a baby
On the most disappointing Christmas of all.

But he left us a gift
Not wrapped in paper and string
But fire.
He have us the Spirit
So that we'd have guidance and comfort
And we'd never be alone.
So we can act as he did.
We can feed the hungry,
We can comfort the beggars,
We can reach out to the outcasts.

And as they wait with the hope from the baby
We can give them the same gift
So they can continue the baby's work.

Christmas is disappointing
But the baby is not.
The baby is Jesus
And he gives us hope.
Of life and life beyond death
And of love for all people.
For then, for now,
And forever.

Its Christmas! Its Christmas!
The skies have early said,
As the winter brings the bliss
Of berries blue and red;

The dew that chanted the tale of his birth
Gleamed in the palm of the lotus leaf;
The flower which stood for his grace on earth
Spread their aroma to void all grief;

Its Christmas! Its Christmas!
The skies have early said,
As the winter brings the bliss
Of berries blue and red;

Loud and clear, the skylark sings,
A cluster full of joy it brings;
Dancing in glee, the tulips many,
Clouds and mountains too join the symphony;

Its Christmas! Its Christmas!
The skies have early said,
As the winter brings the bliss
Of berries blue and red;

I wrote this poem (in-fact a song) for a band here for an inter church competition during the last Christmas season. I hope you will all like it.
If interested, you may also try to compose a song out of it in your own style of compositions.

Thank you for your co-operation.

O'Christmas O'Christmas bring Christmas to all of us,
O'Santa O'Santa deliver the gifts of love,
O'Choir, O'Choir sing out like the angels,
O'Churches O'Churches ring out all those golden bells.

It's that time of the year to stop work now,
It's the Christmas holiday.
When each city, town turns it's lights on,
And to decorate the Christmas tree,
As we praise to our Lord God Jesus,
For the love of our family.

O'Christmas O'Christmas bring Christmas to all of us,
O'Santa O'Santa deliver the gifts of love.
O'Choir O'Choir sing out like the angels,
O'Churches O'Churches ring out all those goldem bells.

When the infants look out for Santa,
But he comes when their asleep,
And the children from the middle east now,
They dont want war they just want peace,
Can we reach out for one another,
To give to those old, disabled and the need.

O' Christmas O'Christmas bring Christmas to all of us,
O' Santa O'Santa deliver the gifts of love,
O' Choir O'Choir sing out like the angels,
O'Churches O'Churches ring out all those golden bells.

you see christmas is the happiest time

for a happy dude like me, to enjoy life too

silent night holy night all is calm all is bright

round yon ****** mother and child

once in royal davids city the party is on for young and old

as santa goes a travelling through the computer

giving presents to everyone there

and then on the first day of christmas my truelove gave to me

a dollar so i buy a homeless man his tea

if that isn’t enough, how about just leave it in his hat

so he could add it up  and buy many more dinners from all the money he raised

away in a manger no crib for a bed

the little lord buddha laid down his sweet head

he would wake up and say, i control the 3 kings of orient are

i bare gifts as i travel afar

i am dreaming of a white christmas, well stop cause in Australia it’s too **** hot

then Patrick sent to santa what about the toys

aren’t you giving these to all the boys and girls

or are you saying that boys are better than girls like a cool kid that you are

a pair of hoppalong boots and pistol that shoots,is a gift for Patrick and Wayne

dolls that will talk and go for a walk a grift from Joanne and Paula

now dudes as i am prepared to party on dude till the break of dawn
As the sun goes down
and the eve of Christmas begins
A silence and calm comes across the world as a soft layer of clouds
hover over the world

Christmas Quiet

Traffic slows down to a snails pace across the land and world

Christmas Quiet

Streets and stores become empty and activity slows down

Christmas Quiet

And as the hours pass and the time to Christmas comes closer
the world takes a breath and the air becomes still and peaceful

Christmas Quiet

Lights glisten with their holiday beauty and splendor
Trees decorated up for the holiday

Christmas Quiet

Families come together for a moment of holiday joy and sharing

Christmas Quiet

And for just a moment in time, the focus is on peace, goodwill and tranquility throughout the land during this time

Christmas Quiet

So, take a moment to listen to the quiet and stillness
To the bells ringing, the snow falling

Christmas Quiet

And let it fill you with peace, joy, and goodwill

No jingle bells ring around here
Since you've gone away.
White snow blankets ev'rything in sight,
But I don't wanna play.
I don't feel the merriment, the mirth, nor cheer,
It's not like Christmas at all
When you're not here.

It's not like Christmas at all,
When you're not here.
I don't feel like celebrating
When you're not near.
When you were in my life
I never did know drear.
It's not like Christmas at all
When you're not here.

A wreath adorns the cold front door,
Your somewhere on the outside,
Frolicking in the wonderland,
Your world is unfurled and wide.
You will never have to know
A life spent all alone.
You will always find somebody
You can call your own.

It's not like Christmas at all,
When you're not here.
I don't feel like celebrating
Without you, Dear.
I keep hoping by some chance
That in my door you'll reappear,
It's not like Christmas at all
Without you here.

The ornaments, tensile, and lights,
Hang on the evergreen.
The Yule log burns, and warms the harth;
The carollers, outside, they sing.
I can't face the new year
By myself, all on my own.
Things haven't been the same
Sinse you've been gone.

It's not like Christmas at all
When you're not here.
I don't feel like celebrating,
When you're not near.
Come back for the holidays,
Then stay all year.
It's not like Christmas at all,
When you're not here.

(Nobody's under my mistletoe -
I won't cuddle when the night is cold.)

It's not like Christmas at all
When you're not here.
I don't feel like celebrating,
When you're not near.
Come back for the holidays,
Then stay all year.
It's not like Christmas at all,
When you're not here.
I wrote this when I was about 23 years old. (Early 1990's 20 years ago) It was the first in a long series of Christmas inspired lyrics I've written. I reworked it just a little over the years, but it is mostly faithful to the first draft. On June 4th 2016, I added some words for backing harmony about mistletoe. O removed the revious reference that was in the second verse and restored it to an earlier rendition and extended the somg by addion of an additional choral refrain.
!OH CHRISTMAS! 🎶

Oh christmas
oh christmas,
there's
somethang in
the clouds
that makes feel
at home, at
every year end.

that's
why we're
filled of
elation, Oh
christmas, isn't
a season
But
a
Beautiful lifestyle
it's a
wonderful reason,
I could feel
the joy
in the air,
Christmas
seasoning.
He's presence
is here

It's always
specific the kind of
weather and tide,
freezing and
comforting.
Softly bliss
attracted

Deliverance
for the
masses peace
on earth, for it's the
savior's birth.

Hallelujah let's
sing it loud
and audible.
Christ the
Savior is born.

Shooting stars,
balloons,
illuminating
lighting trees.
Rainbow lights.

The elation in
us even the
breeze can
feel the
anticipation
of the glorious
Christmas.

No period as
the chilly
and dewy
yuletide sphere.

Birds sings
melodiously
playing happily
in the air.
Butterflies,
sun flies
playing
gleefully around
the Lilly petal.

Rejoice heaven
and earth
because it's
Christmas,
make heaven
sing and
the angels
leaped for joy.

The savior is
born, may
his spirit
dwell forever
more, for
his is the
Christmas's reason.

Oh christmas
oh christmas
blessed the holy
wonderful christmas
lifestyle.

Its the season to be jolly
Its a feeling in the air
The desire to give, to spend, to share
To eat - drink and be Merry.

You call it, I call it , we call it the “Spirit of Christmas”
But what is this christmas spirit?

Where is the ‘holy’ in the spirit of christmas?
I ponder, I question
Where is the christ in Christmas?
Where is the real Christ in Christmas?
Do you know?

Someone once told me
Its the precious gift from Heaven
Given many years ago, She said;
Long time ago in the Bethlehem so the Holy Bible say
….Something about ‘christmas day’
So I ponder where is the ‘Real Christ’ in this Christmas day

Oh! someone’s gonna be upset!
Its a pagan tradition that the church adopted!
I pose this question, did you adopt it
to celebrate it, the way the pagans do?!
Did you?

I hear an objection
I see it on your faces...
You say its the celebration of the birth of our King
Should the celebration be subjected to just one day,
one month?

I don't want to stay too long
But, its just that I have some much to say
Jesus the son of God
was birthed, to live, die
for You and I.

Do we only reflect on his death on easter day?
So why should his birth be any other way?!
I pose this to you…
If it had not been for his birth.
would there have been the shedding of the blood?
He was given freely, but with cause
For God so loved the world that He gave
El dio, ll a donne, He gave, He gifted his only son

So where is the Real Christ in Christmas?

Its not the tree, the pepper lights
Its not what you can buy
Thats is not what Christmas is OR should be for us
No! it not, what you can get, its not even what you can give

Its the reflection, homage to the birth of our King
I have stated my points
I have a final suggestion
Look within and ask one question
What does Christ in Christmas mean to you?

I'll be alone for Christmas
  You can count on that
There is snow and no mistletoe
   No presents and no tree

    Christmas eve will find me
    Eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's
    I'll be alone for Christmas
    Yes, even in my dreams

    I'll be Alone for Christmas
    There is snow, no mistletoe

    Christmas eve will find me
    Eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's
    I'll be Alone for Christmas
    Yes, even in my dreams
     Yes, even in my dreams
I do love Christmas, whether Alone or not.
Hope this is a comic relief from holiday stress.
I think I'll need to have Kemps
I can not afford Ben & Jerry's

Christmas gifts in cheerful wrappings
Christmas trees with all the trappings
Hoping Santa got your letters.
Yummy family get-togethers.
Nobody wants to go to bed
To let sugarplums dance in their head.
Christmas time is for yearend fun.
The holidays are here for everyone.

It’s a happy time to share the joy
Whether adult or girls and boys
To look forward to, all year long
To join in singing the Christmas songs.
There is no school for many days
So the kids can go outside and play
To ski or have battles with snowballs.
Christmas time is the best of them all.

Some places people go outside and sled
And other people go to the beach instead
But not until they have stopped to see
Each present under the Christmas tree.
"Thank you" is said to all the gift givers
Then a wonderful meal they eat together.
“It’s A Wonderful Life” is showing on TV
And Charlie Brown gets a Christmas tree.

It’s a happy time to share the joy
Whether adult or girls and boys
To look forward to, all year long
To join in singing the Christmas songs.
There is no school for many days
So the kids can go outside and play
To ski or have battles with snowballs.
Christmas time is the best of them all.

Traditions like stockings with the names
And sometimes hilarious family games
Especially when relatives come to call
With eggnog and cookies consumed by all.
If there is snow or palm trees and sand
The best of times have been planned
So everyone can share the great cheer
Now that Christmas at last is here.

This is an odie I wrote to my daughter when she was living her dream of working for Disney. She was on the graveyard shift at her Disney hotel on Christmas Eve. Her first Christmas ever away from home.I wrote it as a song to cheer her up. She survived and is now a Disney Legacy Employee, and I am proud of her sticking it out

I want to first thank all my
supporters and readership.
I will read as soon as
I have the time and I can
give your work the attention it deserves.

I've been overwhelmed.
I have to make my presents this
Christmas. But I found out I'm in
excellent company...

FROM APPALACHIA WITH LOVE

Gra'ma Annie had a mission
to help children in need
she lives up in the hills
where they grow their food from seed.

They have no running water
no facilities indoors
still heat and cook with wood
don't buy much from stores
there are folk so destitute
they still have dirt floors.

Li'l Annie was a scrapper
90 pounds if soaking wet.
But her heart is just enormous
as big as one can get!

She found out 'bout a drive
for children overseas
in Africa and Asia
Haiti and the Belize

How the people in those countries
had no presents for to give
their children at Christmas
they could barely live!

She contacted the charity
and said she'd send some toys
as many as possible
to the poor girls and boys.

Annie had no phone
so she walked far and wide
and asked all the hillfolk
throughout the countryside
to whittle and to paint
toys in which to pride!

Those people got together
and carved ponies and dolls
that had joints that moved
and real hair that falls!

They whittled and sanded
painted with rainbow hues
and when they had delivered them
it made world news!

The children overseas
who got them still recall
they kept their homemade presents...

THEIR FAVORITES OF ALL!

MY FATHER "NEVER HAD A CHRISTMAS"*

My father was a child
in a place called Isle la Monte
winter's are quite brutal
in that part of Vermont.

His family were farmers
they lived off the land
they had gardens and stored their food
they worked hard with their hands

They had to really struggle
to make the frayed ends meet
dad walked 14 miles total
through the snow and sleet
to get to his schoolhouse
sometimes with frozen feet

Every year at Christmas time
his mom would be in tears
she would never say much
but stated that she feared

there would be no Christmas
no presents and no tree
it was always the same.
Grandpa would agree.
So the children went to bed
every Christmas eve.

But they weren't sad
because they always knew
that Santa was coming
and so they weren't blue.

Sure 'nuf in the morning
they'd tumble out of bed
and in the once-bare corner
there was a *tree instead!

There were many presents
most carved and painted things
grandma got the practical stuff
no perfume or rings.

But the Christmas meal was cooking
and all through the home
the smell... that sumptuous dinner...

well. That's another poem...!

But before the feast was eaten
grandfather said Grace
and thanked the blessed Lord
and ALWAYS SOUGHT HIS FACE.

MERRY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY!!!

I still have presents to make...
see you SOON!

~~~<☆>~~~
Both of these stories are TRUE.
~~~<☆>~~~
i went to see the christmas lights yeah i did it wss fun

you see we were traveling around using our good eyes

we saw a few and i took a few photos after i had bolognaise and a beautiful cake

and i talked about the great poetry slanm a place to go to read poems

ya see, mate i thought the lights were fantastic, dude

we were sitting in the car getting photos of each’

we yelled out merry christmas to all the owners, cool man eat my shorts

it was radically awesome how each house had a lot of things in their display

i was talking about the movie deck the halls with danny devito and mathew broderick

both go for the right to be the streets christmas man

i am a bit of a christmas man, i love the idea of santa coming for the kids

dropping in through the computer, delivering presents as he he goes

i played santa at vinnies in belconnen and i enjoyed making the kids very happy

one kid said why do you want to play santa, i think playing santa gives me fulfilment

and we sing we wish you a merry christmas a full boar ripper christmas

we wish you a merry christmas

i have a big dose of schizophrenia, which makes me look tired

but, dude, it doesn’t really bother me, because i am healing, ya know getting better

and as i sit down anywhere, in cars and at hone, my mind has a tired look

sometimes it’s good to fight it, with the fact that you ain’t really tired

it’s just the high dose medication i am on

and as i travelled around the christmas lights

i was saying i wanna do more and i wanna see more, without looking at the time

because it was getting close to 10,00 and the others were tired

but me, i was happy to sit in the back looking at the lights till midnight

in the future i would love someone to take me out to civic on new years eve, that’ll be cool, man

and i think of bart simpson when i say, do the bartmab do the bartman

everyone back and forward from side to side

ya see, the medication makes me calm, making me think of how i was back in the 1970s

when i was mucking with my family in wood berry, and being told to shove my nose to the wood

but i loved stopping for an ice cream at hexham oak factory

and looking at the lights tonight, reminded me of when we walked down georgetown at their lights

ya see i was thinking, tonight, in the back seat, i am a happy dude, and the lights are making me a party dude

i wanna party all night long

it was a great christmas party, duds
There is a Christmas Story
For each light upon the tree
A tale to share with others
For each light that you can see
Stories of the presents
Of the times from long before
There are stories in the light string
Go to the past...step through the door

Each light brings on a feeling
As each decoration does as well
There are stories long forgotten
There are stories you should tell
Of Uncle Mike and Aunty Pat
Of skiing down the hill
Of Christmas' from long ago
You think about them still

A simple decoration
Brings a picture to your mind
Of the Christmas you first got this
Of the friends you've left behind
Of road hockey on Christmas Day
And making snowmen in the yard
It doesn't take much to find the memory
It really isn't all that hard

The tree and place is different
And the people come and go
Remember back that Christmas
When there wasn't any snow
The pictures may be buried
And the gifts, now out of sight
But, if you look closely at the tree now
You'll see a story in each light

Spend some time this Christmas
Sing some songs, remember back
Of the Christmas's forgotten
Of the people you've lost track
Look deep inside the light string
Find the stories in each light
Tell the stories to your loved ones
On this Merry Christmas night

I bought boots for Christmas to tread the icy plains.
I bought toys for Christmas with Santas in my trains.
I lit my home for Christmas with a Cedar bright.
I made cup cakes for Christmas for my love's delight.
I bought Jane a dress for Christmas with ribbons pink.
I bought for my grandma a cozy Christmas mink.
I bought for Jill two amazing Christmas Sparrows.
I bought for Jack a toy quiver full of arrows.
I bought an Elk for Christmas with nose giving light.
I bought for Christmas, candles for a solemn night.
I made for Christmas a warm and sweet lemonade,
and I sang on Christmas morn, a sweet Serenade.
Another belated Christmas poem I composed in december, 2019
I've lost the Christmas Spirit
It's nowhere to be seen
I don't want a White Christmas
This year it can stay green
I've lost all thoughts of putting up
A tree and Christmas lights
I don't want to hear another song
About a Christmas night
I've tried to get the spirit
Reading cards from years gone by
I just can't get in the feeling
And I know the reason why
Santa can stay home this trip
He can pass my house this year
I just can't get in the spirit
Not a chance of that my dears
You see, as the new year dawns upon us
I will be unemployed and out of work
So, you see, the Christmas spirtit
is behind a feeling I can't shirk
The spirit should be in me
But, this year it isn't here
I think I'll give up looking
There's no hope for me, I fear
I'm not worried about the presents
But, the feeling's not in me
I can't find it in the music
I can't find it in a tree
I think if Christmas Spirits
Came to work their magic act
I'd just pay them for their hours
And I think I'd send them back
Don't waste your time on me boys
My Christmas spirit up and left
Of goodwill toward others
I feel I am bereft
I would hope next year to find it
But, this year it's not in me
To wish a Merry Christmas
Maybe next year...we'll just see.

Eight days before christmas
and his knees were aching worse than ever,
bitter winds had never done them any good,
nor had the weather's indecisiveness.

Eight days before christmas
and he ate in silence at dinner.
Two bowls of pumpkin soup.
The ladies at his table ignored him.
He fell momentarily asleep in his chair,
and when woken up to take his pills,
realised he'd been left sitting alone again.

Eight days before christmas
and he wasn't sure anymore
of what he was supposed to do.
He'd tried to ask people walking past,
but they either hurried off
or sent him in the direction of his room
where he had nothing to do
but sit and think
and be so aware of his solitude.

Eight days before christmas
and the nurse asked what she could do for him.
He smiled and with a worn and wrinkled finger
Pretended to slice open his throat.
She thought he was joking.

Eight days before christmas
and he ascended the stairs to the second floor.
He found an empty room,
and entered, closing the door behind him.

Eight days before christmas
he approached the window
and with shaking hands undid the clasp.

Eight days before christmas
he pushed the window as far open as he could,
he stepped out on to the ledge
and sat there for a while
wishing he could find the guts to jump.

Eight days before christmas
he hoped like hell he would not see
his 87th christmas eve.

Christmas day is here today and it's my favourite holiday and our saviour Lord Jesus Christ is born today on Christmas day
And the gifts are under the tree and the nicest presents are from me and the holiday pleasures will dazzle us
With happiness and so much joy,

And the food all tastes so delicious and may
You all delight in the warmth of Christmas love
creating even stronger bonds
with family and friends
On Christmas day
And we'll smile and hug and kiss under the mistletoe and
We love the Christmas magic
And the sparkling Christmas tree
It's so beautiful and bright
Like the Angel on the tree and
A year without Christmas
Would be boring even tragic
And we'll stop and pray for our loved ones who have sadly passed away there in our hearts on Christmas day
And I wish you all a
Beautiful and happy
And a peaceful Christmas day
So merry Christmas
From me to you all
Around the world and
Have a perfect and blessed Christmas day.
Happy Christmas ⛄🎁❤️🙏
To everyone on Hello Poetry God bless you all.
Christmas Eve was coming
There was plenty to be done
There were protocols to follow
There were programs to be run

Presents needed wrapping
Elves had duties of their own
They've been doing it for centuries
They could call Christmas in by phone

Reindeer games were scheduled
Christmas Carols to be sung
There were toys to be assembled
There were bells that must be wrung

Christmas Cakes...no problem
For we all know there's just one
It gets passed around each Christmas
And that is half the fun

But, back now to the reindeer games
Donner wasn't there
But, neither were three others
It gave Santa Claus a scare

He called the elven vet in
Said "find out what it wrong"
"If I don't have all my reindeer"
"It'll ruin Rudolph's song"

The vet came back directly
Hoof and mouth was what he said
The reindeer must  miss Christmas
They were all confined to bed

Santa couldn't take it
Reindeer home...what would he do?
He thought real hard about an answer
Where would he find something that flew

The vet said, "I've an answer"
"But, no questions...just your trust"
"I'll get your gifts delivered Santa"
"I just need your magic dust"

Santa said "do your best Doctor"
"We can't have Christmas end like this"
"Are you sure you have an answer?"
"We can't give Christmas time a miss"

The vet and elves went searching
They formed a team like none before
They went around to the animals
And then they knocked on Santa's door

Santa looked at what they'd brought him
His reindeer gone, but here they stood
A team had been assembled
It made Santa sink into his hood

Harnessed up before him
The vet had two dogs and a bear
A ******, goat, and donkey
And a bald, blind cat...stood there

He smiled and said "Dear Santa"
"They may not look like that much now"
"But, they'll get you where you need to be"
"And they'll be led by a brown cow"

If you hear some noises
From your roof, like bleats and barks
Some, meowing or some mooing
And other strange sounds in the dark

Remember, it's just Santa
With his new team for the season
Rex, Rolf, Billy, Ben, Bessie, Joe, and Mike
and a bald, blind cat who's freezin'

Merry Christmas to all and to all....don't look up!!
Have you ever "dashed through the snow"
"in a one horse open sleigh"
Seen eight maids a milking
saw the three ships I saw today

Have you ever seen a reindeer
With a nose that blinks bright red
Dreamt of fairies and of sugar plums
While sleeping in your bed

Have you ever put a penny
In the old man's hat
Sat down in the parlor
And played "the ministers cat"?

Have you travelled off to whoville
Seen the grinch, his fur all green
Have you ever seen Oriental Kings
Frankincense..I've never seen

But, at Christmas, yes at Christmas
We all sing and sing so well
Of these things that we believe in
And of things we know so well

I've never seen a Christmas
Where a snowman comes to life
But, for me, he lives each Christmas
With Jack Frost, and Frosty's wife

Seeing is believing,
But at Christmas, not so much
We believe in Father Christmas
Things we can't see and won't touch

Christmas is more than  giving
It's a feeling in your soul
It's believing in mankinds goodness
Christmas makes me whole.
The traditional Christmas Windows of Wonder
Were set to be unveiled at five
This meant to the children and parents
That Santa was set to arrive

Each year on the eve of the annual parade
All the stores in downtown did display
their annual Windows of Wonder
And the town was abuzz all the day

Children staring, windows frosting
Their mouths open wide like their eyes
Christmas was captured in an 8 by 10 box
With gifts piled up to the skies

Christmas presents of every sort
Trees and tinsel, lights and *****
Children staring, frozen stiff
Christmas wishes behind plate glass walls

Parents and children watched the parade
Waiting for Santa to come
In between all the floats, there were still the displays
As the children who all stood there numb

Toys and mechanics, robots and dolls
Trains and race cars on tracks
The children all stared and they dreamed of just how
Santa would get all these gifts in his sack

In the midst of the crowd was a blonde, little girl
A good breeze could just blow her away
She'd been hovering there, looking at one small doll
And she'd been there for most of the day

The parade, it passed by, but she never did look
she knew Santa was not here for her
There was only one thing that had captured her heart
And that was the doll, that's for sure

The other kids looked, made their lists in their heads
Ready to tell Santa their list
but, this little girl stood alone from the crowd
She was cold and her cheeks were ice kissed

The parade ended late, and Santa went in
took his chair and he met with the throng
But, this girl stood aside, never moving on up
And the Santa, knew something was wrong

He called her by name, which gave her quite a start
She was scared, but she moved at his call
She sat on his lap, and he reached down behind
And he gave the small girl the small doll

Her face lit the room, more than any display
She said "Santa, just how did you know?"
He said, "Sarah, my dear, it's as plain as can be"
"It's as easy as making it snow"

He put her back down, clutching her doll to her chest
And she walked to the front of the store
but, before she went out, she turned back to say thanks
And where he was, there was Santa no more

Is it magic to think that this Santa was real?
Or did this man know just what he should do?
He made Sarah's Christmas, by giving that doll
And I'm sure he made many more too

The Children of Christmas stare wide eyed all day
Dreaming hard of when Santa will call
But,, off in the corner of the chlly, young crowd
Stands a girl, with her new Christmas doll

Oh Christmas flea oh Christmas flea, why did you bite upon me. Oh Christmas flea oh Christmas flea, where did you come from? Did you sneak in upon my tree, perhaps you hid on me? Oh Christmas flea oh Christmas flea, please stop biting upon me. Oh you are a painful bug, perhaps you hid in my designer rug? Oh Christmas flea Oh Christmas flea, please don't bite upon me. Now because of you I think that I have the flu, I hope that you get it to. Oh Christmas flea oh Christmas flea, I think I will have to fumigate thee.

repeat verse 5 time the song
I dreamt a man descending from a cloud
Amidst birds in a lengthening crowd
Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
In merry notes did rejoice and cheer

Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
Amongst sparrows and many a pigeon
Leading the choir from region after region
Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
In merry notes heralding so fresh a new year

Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
There were robins and many a skylark,
Alighted upon so gentle a wind's back
Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
In merry notes gallivantin' here and there.

Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
Lets fly above the highest mountains
To go quaff nectar from silver fountains
Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
In merry notes were heard by the far and near.

Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
So sung the nightingale and cuckoo too
Till from gazin' sight vanished in clouds of blue
Singing hallelujah Christmas is here
Let the world rejoice and sing hallelujah

Honestly, been tryin' to voice out this ode but just can't do it the way I'd like it sound since ain't a musician...LOL. I truly need someone with a mellifluous voice to give life to my lyrics that are likely to go unheard.

Besides, a merry Christmas unto ye all and a happy new year in advance. God bless ye.

Toys being delivered all the way from the North Pole
The snow being our open curtain with the wonders of behold
Sheer delight for every Girl and Boy
Christmas trees throughout all households danced Christmas morning
Kids everywhere waking up from their yond
Look alive kids, we are your living toys to look upon
The sight brought a lot of joy
Candy Kane stripes that seemed to glisten
The songs of Christmas made you want to listen
The Candy Kane’s lighted up as they danced
You felt as if you were in a trance
Toy Ballet Dolls that all stood tall
They also danced for all
The Nutcracker approach
The Jack in the Box who was a joke
It was laughter in words he spoke
Toy scale model trains came to life
A Polar Express feel
The Christmas experience that was for real
Yet the kids were having so much fun
It’s Christmas Day and we are no way done
The Christmas toys connected with the world in bringing togetherness
Only a Child and an Adult are the witness
Snow was falling outside at every house
It even captivated every living mouse
There was no time to waste
While the kids all rushed to play in the snow
Share a moment in giving to less fortunate that you don’t know
Now we can relax and take it slow
Let us all have some Hot Chocolate and reflect on Christmas Day
Happy faces with a feeling of hope
This is a time for living and knowing how to cope
Christmas being our twinkle in one star
The idea of the Wise Men who travelled very far
It was a place in the desert where there were no cars
Camel was the only transportation to get around
In the distance, a shining light and a lonely star
Destination simply “Miracle”
As the Wise Men arrived they saw a little babe in the Manger
It wasn’t just any little babe, Jesus being for the world
Music played and Joy that was relayed
The night skies seemed to come alive
Yes it is Christmas, but the joyous occasion in triumphant
Come all Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, Oh Come all to Bethlehem
A night that was and tomorrow that will be
Happy Holidays that comes from me.
Obar Mark Dec 2013
Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get chance to celebrate;
People insisted on giving me gifts, but I never enjoyed the gifts a moment;
I had too much to drink; I slept on 24th and woke up on 27th, and still dizzy;
What if Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more of celebrations;
I never celebrated a loving Christmas;

A Christmas doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more;
It's more than drinking too much alcohol and driving -then finding yourself in deathbed;
It may mean something like, eating with those who lacks meals for even a single day;
It's a choice to celebrate a loving Christmas with the less fortunate;

Christmas makes our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred;
and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again;
It's at Christmas-time that we should think about life in it's totality;
because all of become children again in a loving Christmas;
In the 1970s we celebrated Christmas 3 times in 2 days
On Christmas Eve
We went to mum’s mums place for a Christmas Eve dinner and present opening for mums side of the family and there were a lot of people there and we played Christmas carols around the piano and talked to each other about our lives
I don’t really remember what was our presents but my grandma loved it, it was her chance to be with all of her in-laws and grandkids, one Christmas there I got little kermit the frog and my brother got a dog, grandma cooked a nice roast dinner and I handed out the presents on Christmas Eve and then at 11-00 my dad took us home and on the way home dad said can you hear the Christmas bells, it means Santa’s on his way and drop presents if you are good and go to bed and when we got home we left beer and *** ***** out for Santa and went to bed, most of the time we got up before mum and dad except for the year my aunty sue and Dennis came and both me and my brother didn’t get out of bed and some years we got a trampoline and other years a swimming pool no protection we should’ve had it if it was now but back then you didn’t think about it and we opened all of our presents every year and we had bacon and eggs for breakfast and then we went to church and play with our presents and then we went my dads mothers house for the night party with all of dads family and there we were given lots of gifts as well like army suits and caravans and car racing kits and many more, and my cousin Alan was the man who gave out the presents at that party
Then we went outside to play with our presents, having a tonne of fun while my dads mother was looking the Christmas roast and when it was ready mum yelled out dinners ready and we all went up to have a Christmas dinner and then we all talked and played and then went down the street to have a look at the Christmas lights, there was a street near dads mother which had every house decorated for Christmas and I loved it. Even till today
And then we went home and my dad and mum decided to take us home and me and my brother called our grandfather
Dotty pa and mum hated us doing that and we went home watched a movie and went to bed
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
