the summer heat is oppressive
it's so hot and humid in the south
you become drenched with sweat
just standing still

the running streams of mountain water
rushing through rocks and then crashing down on ya
the chill of the waterfall freezes the intensity of explosion
on your skin as the water beats down on ya
there's nothing like it in the world to standing underneath a waterfall

I hug the wall of stone and feel the cold slimy surface
and my hands run through the moss growing on the side

what an amazing reprieve on a hot summer's day
God bless the mountains of North Carolina
God bless Appalachia
God bless this place called
home

home of my heart
where living waters flow

Humanity swims upstream,
Like a nurturing moment.

Ever wanting to be more, but
Finding the struggle hard.

Seeding the streams of life,
With those that sank below.

But we swim, and keep on
Up the stream to find our goal.

The waters become calmer as
We are now within our moment.

We were many but some welcomed
The quiet and peace that came.

We were humanity swimming,
always fighting going upstream.

But with all journeys some unexpected
Happenings come around the bend.

As we swam never seeing what was
Ahead, humanities enviable end.

We had submerged ourselves, but it
Was our time to now fall.

Screams were heard in the distance,
But we swam over the edge of life.

The waterfall of extinction had come,
And we fell, all to the silence below.

From time to time
You forget the world around you
All you feel is nothing
your mind is empty
Your heart is calm
Nothing matters
You feel hypnotised
The river you just created
That lets the red anxiety flow
That leaves you with a feeling
Of numbness
The river is getting deeper
You are getting calmer
You do it over and over
Even though you know
It will be even worse very very soon
You still have now
You still have this
For once you feel ok
And you wonder
Maybe it's ok
To create your own waterfall
I'm sorry if this triggers anyone. Please be safe. Take care. Remember; those who don't believe in magic will never find it.

the tears end as quickly as they begin,
but the waterfall within me rages on,
stealing away with my insides
and dampening every last spark of life.

I know a girl
who moves like
a waterfall.
She's all fluid
in a downward spiral.
She knows that gravity is a beautiful thing
when it leads to a breathtaking view.

I know a girl
who speaks like
poetry.
She can make prose
out of stop signs and crosswalks
And still,
Somehow every word out of her mouth is as fluid as a waterfall

I know a girl
who doesn't believe
she can make boys fall to their knees
Just by telling them
She loves them
Because they know they probably don't deserve it.
But they know once they've finally earned it
The view will be breathtaking.

Gentle drops of Love
Slide down my heart
The foggy waterfall grows
When the drops gather in one.

The reflection
Of the crystal clear lake
Which resides at the bottom
Of the heart in tears
Is formed in the retina
Of the lucid eyes.

The lake is icy and cold
When the drops are frozen
To melt again in the warmth
Under the tears of Love.
Inspired by Vangelis.

The stars glare at me
As I lie awake on my bed,
Imagining constellations on my ceiling
Truth be told,
I imagine I am gazing up at them,
But they are too stubborn
They wouldn't listen if I told them

Their twinkle in the night sky
Looked like a sparkling waterfall
Their loyalty to the night
Is unrivaled in the universe
Their blazing bodies
Bring light in the darkness
Their presence every night
Gives me ease and I sleep well

Nibbling on the corner of
A fluffy planetary nebula,
Swimming with a cluster
Of dreaming asteroids
I imagine all these things
Happening above my head
Among the stars is where I belong, because I always find my mind traveling there.

So light
I brushed the drops away
With a wave.
But long enough
To soak the earth
And fallen timber.
I balanced on precariously
Traversing effervescent deluge
Losing purchase
And contemplating a sanguine palm.
Empathy swells the waves
That wash from each other.
