“...in good measure--”

(sonnet #MMMMMMDCLXVII)

I’m thirsty sans aught to, as twere, avail.
You turn the page now back and forth, a sense
Of all we tasted hours ‘go waltzing hence
As twould but trip now off my tongue in pale
Excuse, just begging for a voice as frail
Half silence chews its fingers for intents,
And you just make a small noise, like from thence
We know, yet feign an ignrance in betrayl.
Okay, the sigh’s collective as we stir
Our noggins oer that prompt of water—to
Leave off as time is called.  And you?  My poor
Thought vanquished, we all burst out laughing through
Your lines.  Will tears be salty water we’re
Left to ‘non drink because of “I love you.”?

Beginning this upon finishing that other, what I like about this one is how it captures deliciously a sense of the moment.

My mouth's at loss
Longing after your blood.

I’m still chasing girls

Out of my league

Mumma always said
chase your dreams

Even with all the impossibilities

So I'm chasing girls every day

Maybe that's the reason

They don't want to be with me

In fact, it's she who said that to me

How can I choose

With all these fish in the sea

So many girls they're all so pretty

I want them all

Not just one

Maybe I'm a little greedy

Still, think I'm cheesy?

Nah I'm freakin' seedy

But don't be fooled

It takes a lot to please me

So many cuties in this club

And I want every single one

Because I just can't get enough

Of all this lust

Let's make love, in this club

Where's Ushers song come on

Girl, I want you, no you, no you

**** how am I supposed to choose

I'm so confused

On what to do

Oh well, guess I better make them

Form a Que.

I want them all

Not just one

Maybe I'm a little greedy

Still, think I'm cheesy?

Nah I'm freakin' seedy

But don't be fooled
It takes a lot to please me

Hey, little lady,

I think I love you

Nah just kidding

I want to *******

In fact, bring a friend to

There enough room in my bed

For both of you

Come on give me all you've got

Because your both so freakin' hot
(Haha)

I want them all

Not just one

Maybe I'm a little greedy

Still, think I'm cheesy?

Nah I'm freakin' seedy

But don't be fooled

It takes a lot to please me

Just something ridiculous and fun
Richard Grahn May 2017
Drinking completely
From the deep well of your love
I'm thirsty for more
Donielle May 2017
You're always sure that my cup is full
but it never overflows.
I try to absorb what excess there is
so that I can hand it back to you,
quench your thirst straight from my palms
when you feel empty.

Its frustrating to me
That a man can hold so much power
And make me feel so small
And yet... loved.

The delicate play
Of manipulation
Held me in an intricate web
Of control.

I don't miss
Waiting in his web of lies
And manipulation.
Wondering if I was good enough,
Tasty enough
For his delicate and dominating sensibilities.
If I didn't fit his fancy
He'd find another
To prey upon.
Keeping me at the center
Of his web
Waiting,
Claiming,
I was his admired,
Beloved.
I was adored
And should be elated.

I saw the freedom
Of this resilient spider-
All of his eyes looking thirsty.

Here I am-
the main delight,
Waiting in his nest.

Funny how he went out searching for more
When I've been here,
Waiting for him to feast.
Being with you was like trying to keep water in cupped hands.
No matter how tightly I held, you still seeped through the cracks.

All I wanted was merely a sip,
A tiny taste of the love you had to offer.
I had been thirsty without knowing I needed a drink until you teased me with your cool touch.

But before I could bring my hands to my lips,
The last drop hit the floor.
You were gone.
Leaving me nothing to soothe my chapped lips and burnt heart.

But here's a secret I learned shortly after you left.
I wasn't in a desert and you weren't an oasis.
All I had to do was grab a glass and turn on the tap.
I found a way to quench my thirst from another source,
And from that day I never looked back.
It hurts to think you assumed I'd crumble to dust without your half-assed love. You were dead wrong. I learned I deserved more than ***** gutter water.

I don't let people touch me.
It's been so long I almost forgot.
Your fingers down my back,
My eyes roll into thought.
Pouting like a child
I can't have that all the time
Wish I could show you
how you stimulate my mind.
To be absent from the world,
Two bodies tangled,
I don't want it to ever end.
