Yet another distraction;  a nearly fatal attraction.
Getting lost in one another's space-time contraptions.
How could we do this to eachother, and  be so careless with our actions?
I can't take the blame this time, though I was wrong in my reaction.
You can rub it in my face, for your very own satisfaction.
But I will always know the truth;  I can see the equal fractions.

let me teach you
how to dance
to the song that is my heartbeat

first; lay your head upon my chest
stay silent, unmoving, hold your breathe
nothing?
no, there it is
steady, unyeilding, comforting
but as I feel you slowly exhale
it’s tempo accelerates
of course you induce that
‘butterflies in my stomach’ effect
if I was talking, I would’ve stuttered
as your fingers absentmindedly
drew patterns on my wrists
i could feel the hairs rising
my body calling out to your touch
gentle, calming, peaceful
and when I peak at you
your eyes are closed, relaxed
savouring the moment
our pulses meld together
and dance a tranquil tango.
feeling nostalgic for a love I’ve never experienced.
we're going to speak
the language of love
all through the
night
we're going to speak
the language of love
until the dawning
light

it'll be so fine
talking in a familiar
lingo
we'll voice it
in an intimate
tango

the meeting and meshing
of close
dialogue
an imbibing with
a special
monologue

let's commence our love
discussions
there is much to these lyrical
percussions

it's so powerful
in the message it
communicates
our linguistics
will enjoy the highest of
rates

we're going to speak
the language of love
all through the
night
we're going to speak
the language of love
until the dawning
light

Fragile hands,
Weathered and cracked,
Grasping onto the neck of the swan
They are tough,
Yet, all the while, their reach is gentle,
And they glide with the swan to the pond’s lively middle

Up

Up they go

Ricocheting off the dancing beads of
      water

       doing the tango,

         the salsa,

            and, at last,

               ballroom.

She met him south of the border in Durango,
She was hot and boy could she fandango!
She said at a glance
"Señor like to dance?"
“No”, he replied, “But I would love to tango!”

Drowning in a muddy mind,
So high in the sky;
That I could feel the clouds.

Spinning around,
Feeling like I could take on the world.
Grinning like a mad dog,
Will I inject another shot of Mr. Cloud Nine.

He takes my hand and spins me around,
We're moving to the beat, doing the tango.

He promise sweet nothings,
Makes me feel a sense of alive,
I feel so empowered with him by my side.

He offers me his cigar,
I take it knowing I'm already too far gone,
Mr. Cloud Nine is my sweetheart,
He promises to never let me go.

Love with its delicate breeze
tickles senses.
Tantalizes breath.

love with its subtle pulsations
that makes etheric wings open
and dreams germinate.

Love an energy to bath in
as footsteps carry and heart expands.

Care to tango within love’s song?
A melody that effects the future.

Darling,
take my hand and
dance with me.

Let’s perform the graceful art of painting lines on the floor with every swift move.
We spin around the dance floor, that has now become our home.
Softly, holding our bodies close.
Not too close,
but close enough.

Let us waltz into each other’s hearts with every step.
And with every movement let us prove our love.
A love for everyone to see.
Dance partners that were clearly meant to be.

Let’s dance salsa.
And no... I don’t mean the kind for chips.
The rhythmic salsa that makes our hearts beat out of our chests and intertwine with every note.
The salsa that causes the adrenaline in our bodies to rush as we follow every beat.

Let us practice our seduction through a heated tango.
As we caress each other’s bodies and souls.
Intensely loving and never wanting to let go.
A tango that will set our feelings on fire.

Darling,
Dance with me, please.
One last time before you leave.

Passionate negotiations
Twirling truce in the battle of the sexes
Drama dancing in every dynamic phrase and flourish
Questions posed in angles answered in curves
Skill balanced on a razor's edge
Try to turn away - magnetic forces will pull you back
Returning with fierce vengeance to hard earned harmony
Drawn to this dance since I first saw it as a child.......mystery and tension, passion and grace....and all the tapestry of the Tango
