I thought I cleared every part of you from my mind

But when the sun sets
I see your silhouette
Everytime I close my eyes

Cigarette marks on the edge of the chair,
The thickness of smoke is gone.
Discussing how life sometimes isn't fair,
Four eyes and two souls make a bond.

Birds in the background are singing their songs,
Slowly but surely they fly.
They get darker and darker, a smoker's lungs,
"It's fine" as I tell myself lies.

Plans get bigger and dreams always shrink,
With time we all learn to let go.
Life speeds up, we have no time to think,
Only stop for a roll of tobacco.

The balcony's edge is this deep orange-red,
Soon the evening will dye the sky blue.
Our hands are now ashy, the sun has just set,
The cigarette's fragrance reminds me of you.

She winked at me...
Through the northern breeze,
Carrying the oil
For the painting I'd breathe.

Climbing the boughs,
I gently waved.
Over stately lines,
Above their leafy train.

My bedded Sun,
Lay behind hill's crest.
Wayward moon pining,
Empathizing with mine.

Before the stars came running,
A counsel to the lonely bodies.
I left that artful canopy.
Smiling, I think,

"She thought of me."

Golden girl, how fair you look today
I'm in disarray
Am I drowning in your bay?
In the stillness I lay

How impossible!
Feeling so gullible
To where you are, I'd like to travel
I give no mind to the troubles

Darling dearest
My feelings are in earnest
Your beauty, dear God!
Like golden skies and other fantasies

I told you to do what you wanted, to make your own choice, and you left me alone.
So I sat by the lake by myself and sang a song about how you let me cave in.

later, when the sun was fully submerged under the lake water, and my sadness had left me, you came back to me in that same spot,
and gave me a memory of a waltz, a kiss, and a reason to smile. I will truly never forget.

On the walk back, with my bare feet pressed against the concrete and my converse swinging by my side, I thought about how you have such a beautiful way of influencing my emotions like the pendulum they are.

It wouldn’t be living  if there wasn’t some sadness.
you made me sad, then happy. thanks.

She found peace
Embraced in his arms.

She told him the universe
So that the moon could hear her smile.

As they intertwined their fingers
Under the moonlight
It felt like the world
Was coveting them forever.

She was stardust
Falling to quickly
For a boy she cherished
Longing in her heart.

He was the sea
Reflecting her love
Unending and full
Yearning from the start.

They never left each other
Through the troubles life threw
For they knew that they
Were worth the billions of lightyears away.

Before they divided
Into separate ways
They watched the sunset bud
Upon the skies haze.

On the final day
The stars kissed the sea
Wishing goodbye.

They would meet up again
Someway.

You swirl my mind
behind the shades.
Dreams come and go
to Mary Jane.
You stir my dreams
all of the day.

Then, when I warred,
nothing could stop
the storm there in store
for me.

My central column
is prone to shift.
You have acid spit,
and kiss me there,
between the atoms.
Realignment.

What is
a holy moment?
When you
share a gaze with one.

What is
a definite end?
When you
find the beginning.

They say the night is darkest
just before the sun rises
and I've been through the darkest of nights
crawling into the sunrise
longing for something the daylight may bring

then I walked in the sunlight
side by side, with its colors
and I had everything
but as I ran to the sunset
one by one, the colors faded slowly
and I had nothing

my heart was sinking
like the sun in the horizon
how can something so beautiful be this sad?

And the sun sets
embracing all its colors and warmth
yet the cold didn't bother me
my hand felt warm
and I looked back and saw
that I was never alone
from the darkest of nights
to laughing in the sun
from my nothingness
to the setting sun

I looked back and there was you
you have been there all along
holding my hand

In your eyes,
I saw my brokenness, its nothingness
I saw the beauty of the setting sun in your eyes
I saw you
and I saw love in your eyes
I found you
and I found love in your eyes
I say yes, my love.
