I found myself in a field
The grass was spun from silk
Bowing beneath my every step
Kissing my ankles as I went by

I found myself in a field
Over looking the beautiful blue sea
Now painted with the colors of gold and pink
As the sun shined over me

I found myself in a golden light
The fading hour of the sun
Everything it touched was given the gift of beauty
Filled with its fading warmth that clung to me
As the sun slowly sunk into the night

I found myself in a grove
The trees of a forest surrounding me
I looked up at the sky to see the infinite stars
And heard someone asking me
"How can you make constellations in this mess?"

"It's connecting the dots you see."
My finger raised to the sky
Each star that graced my finger tips trailed with me
Painting the many pictures I saw up above

I fell asleep in a forest grove
Awoken by the soft golden sun
"I don't want to have to go."
From the fields and forests

My soul is rested
Here in the fields and forest
But rest is temporary
As are these dreams.
Just a dream I had

The plane is racing toward the sunset. The sun glows orange and tiny and impossibly bright, like a singularity. It’s a speck of intense energy that hurts to look at, but who am I to look away? Who am I to pretend I can resist the pull of such power? Who am I to shield my eyes from the closest thing to divinity that I am able to see? We pick up speed, like we’re chasing the sun— like we’re chasing God. I think, in a way, we always are. I’d be lying if I said I’ve seen anything like it. I’d be lying if I said I held onto my breath after seeing it.
I've seen few things as breathtaking as the sunset from a plane window. It's something you need to see to understand, I think. The world is so big and so beautiful, and new things steal my breath each day.

1) I drenched myself in meaningful moments. Cherished each smile I received and each hug I shared with someone dear to me.

2) I replaced my anger with laughter. Learned that the only person hurting from my anger is me.

3) I stopped being afraid to leave people behind. When someone treats me cruelly, I remove them from my reality.

4) I watch the sunset and take the time to reflect on myself. I have to face my demons to put my mind to rest.

5) I took 'regret' out of my vocabulary. No point in dwelling on a pain that I can't change.

Now I see peace, seated next to me.

immortal wedding band
encircling the globe
dividing evening from twilight
and dark of night
from morning light

the ring remains unbroken
since the first kiss of the sun
tracing our home's rolling pace
in dancing color
light's embrace

and as i watch the light fade
and clouds catch heavenly fire
i know i see just half the halo
with each day's end
glow and shadow

and half a world away
a man looks to the east
and he sees the other half
and he realizes in himself
with a soulful laugh

that half a world away
a man like me looks west
and as I see my half above
he knows it's the same halo
that we both know and love

the halo never rests
it's dance never complete
and until time's timely end
around the world
it will always bend

to remind all god's creations
with flowing golden-purple hues
that they are in the loving hand
of the ultimate being
that knows each grain of sand

there has only been one day
since the creation of the world
the sun has never died
and never been reborn

“Sunrise used the night's darkness
and massacred the stars in front of their mother's eyes (moon)

The court of the galaxy has sentenced him to death

You can watch the execution at sunset time.”

————————————————————

Sunset used the dusk’s dark, burnt orange
& beautiful breeze
to distract, and cloud
the court of her deceitful deeds

But a new dawn will rise
and the sun will shine a crisp, clear, blue truth through the clouds
and the morning’s mist...

Case dismissed!!👩‍⚖️⚖️👨‍⚖️
A friend "Sunset" (from Iran, not a native speaker) wrote an incredible poem accusing/condemning the sunrise of ******! She asked for, but nobody initially defended

[Even though I do prefer sunsets... as an American we’re told all people are supposed to be treated “innocent until proven guilty” and that everyone has the right to an attorney and fair trial.] You choose who is guilty!

a sunrise never promised you a sunset,
but you expected it anyway
as my skies turned gray immediately
in your disappointed eyes

Its colour is a pale red, like a blush.
It's as if an artist had taken its brush.
And painted the sky tonight.
Hung it up high for everyone to see.
And said there you go a present for you, from me!
Well thank you dear artist, whoever you maybe.
It was the greatest present I ever did see!

Moonlight past midnight
Breaks my window and highlights
Your pillow,
Empty and lifeless.

Lilac and citrus
Still linger in the air.
Bring your bright eyes
To my face, I’m deprived.

Moonlight past midnight
Breaks me and tells me
How much I miss you. like
Sunsets in summer.

once again is calm
