Outside is drizzling softly,
thirsty skin drinking up,
the caresses of the rain.
We splash every puddle,
oozing happiness to the crowd
singing together a new refrain.
Let’s drink up
all the gray between us,
darling, run with me,
coloring gloomy skies.
Lace our love fingers
with a smile so dashing
Thrill me,
hold me,
let purging water
hide my blushing
as the rolls of thunder,
outside our love nest
keep clashing.

I woke up in an ear-bleeding silence
My alarm clock froze on my bedside table

As I shove off my blanket of me,
The sun hasn’t sneaked in the windows yet

So I crawled out of bed
And headed to my room’s glass square hole

Rubbing my eyes, I slowly pulled the curtains,
Only to find out what my eyes couldn’t swallow

It’s not orange clouds in a purple sky that I saw
Instead, a tiny light oozing from the surface of dim Adam’s ale

It’s not fowls that crept among the winds
But hundreds of sea beasts paddling ways in the water

I was dumbfounded by the sight
That I almost fall over

Gently, I tapped the glass window
And to my surprise, it started to crack

And the liquid came flooding into my room,
So I tried to open my eyes and it was over.

The sea is becoming rapidly salty
No matter how much skies rain
The waves are strongly agitating
And my ship can no longer sustain

So again and again and again
I want you to look at my vane
I want you to be so much closer
I want you to heal all of my pain

Skies filled w/ fluorescent lights. Reminiscent of the different times that flashed before me. But as all lights, they burn out. They fizzle. They crackle. Their luminosity gives way to darkness. And then there’s nothing. Sometimes briefly, other times for prolonged periods. Over time, I’ve become accustomed to the darkness. The nothingness. The absence of a glow. No shine in the distance. No light in the future. So perhaps.. the darkness is the norm for these skies. My skies. Until another fluorescent light shows its face. To brighten my skies once again.

The sun has a
        twinkle
   As it rises over
            the mountain
       High
Similar to the one in
         Your eyes
   That lights up my
         dreary nights
   And somehow
      Makes them bright
  Like the stars,
        barely seen
Against the
       glowing moon
   I am hidden
               behind clouds
    You are the sun
Always shining through
        But there could
     Never be me
           **Without you
This really just kinda came out in a matter of 5 minutes.
the tie dye sky could hold thousands of us. people like us, wishing only to create something more beautiful than ourselves and what we are. we only want to breathe in the universe and take our interpretation of it as an art form. we are artists and we deserved to be loved. loved like the deserts and the oceans and the mountains and everything in between. we deserve to be loved like the people love the California sunshine. you can be my California. you can be my hopes and dreams. I only ask that you don't go ripping at the seams. I don't believe in true love but I believe in soulmates and as far as I'm concerned, you're mine. so play your music and let's travel into the deepest crevices of our minds as we attempt to figure each other out, only mildly surprised when we find that we cannot. after all, what's the point in understanding something as beautiful as each other? -hvj

When I met you the soil was wet
Underneath cloudy skies
And so were your eyes.

Now it's the summer,
everything is dry
You must say goodbye.

your eyes are deeper than any poetry i've ever read.
i've tried to write them in six-word poems
but it can never quite capture their depth.
i've tried rhymes
and sonnets
and haikus
but i end up dreaming of them instead.

i'm lying on the roof
looking at the stars in the skies
and wish i were looking
at the ones in your eyes.

Clear, bright skies I see
They fill my heart with glee
Somehow they reminded me
So much more than you and me
