Night skies are proof
There's more than meets the eye
The two-way mirror that reflects fear
Can be shattered to reveal
What's been patiently waiting behind
All this time

'Why not a happy poem?
To smile the day away.
Why not? I could use it, so can you.
Why not a happy poem?
About flowers and blue skies.
Tell me darling, why not a happy poem?'

There is nothing better than setting skies,
Or the way you smile with your tired eyes.
When our fingers hug and our knuckles kiss
When you trace my skin, moments like this are something I'll miss.
Don't forget me once you are gone,
Know I'll be thinking of you at dusk and at dawn.

Arc of light that lit your tears,
couldn't  lighten the darkest of your eyes.

Last night it shone in the skies,
the same arc with the purest light.

My riddled mind failed to read,
the arc was nothing but the moon itself,

because darker than the skies ,
he found your eyes with darkest skies
Was just thinking could the moon be captured into a tear ... maybe !!!

Blanketing skies
that quietly balance hurt clouds
of fluffy white
dipped in burning cliche
And subtly forgotten
in night as black as night
Stars ***** the dark
and bleed light
which seeps into the minds of the mad
and tickles their insanity
tearing them apart

56 minutes after two
My skies are 50 shades of gray
In my feelings so deep,
That you could probably paint
A picture will all my blues

Fly away
Believe in your wings
Take into confidence
The winds
Help your soar higher
Bird’s-eye view
Clearer perspective
Higher altitudes
Rarefied air
Do more with less
Now you can fly
Wings give hope
With winds by you
Perch higher
On the highest cliffs
Edge of the world
Never seemed so beautiful
Ready for adventure
It all starts here
Abdullah Ayyash Jan 2015
Outside is drizzling softly,
thirsty skin drinking up,
the caresses of the rain.
We splash every puddle,
oozing happiness to the crowd
singing together a new refrain.
Let’s drink up
all the gray between us,
darling, run with me,
coloring gloomy skies.
Lace our love fingers
with a smile so dashing
Thrill me,
hold me,
let purging water
hide my blushing
as the rolls of thunder,
outside our love nest
keep clashing.

I woke up in an ear-bleeding silence
My alarm clock froze on my bedside table

As I shove off my blanket of me,
The sun hasn’t sneaked in the windows yet

So I crawled out of bed
And headed to my room’s glass square hole

Rubbing my eyes, I slowly pulled the curtains,
Only to find out what my eyes couldn’t swallow

It’s not orange clouds in a purple sky that I saw
Instead, a tiny light oozing from the surface of dim Adam’s ale

It’s not fowls that crept among the winds
But hundreds of sea beasts paddling ways in the water

I was dumbfounded by the sight
That I almost fall over

Gently, I tapped the glass window
And to my surprise, it started to crack

And the liquid came flooding into my room,
So I tried to open my eyes and it was over.
