Get outta here, she said
before your heart bankrupts your soul and camouflages your feelings and
your character as a whole.

There's still time to change your mind...

I'm running out of time
running out of time!
running
out
of
time!!
Just one more line
one more line!
one
more
line!!

I'm running out of pages
running out of pages!
running
out
of
pages!!
Just a couple more phrases
a couple more phrases!
a
couple
more
phrases!!

I'm running out of ink
running out of ink!
running
out
of
ink!!
Just one last time, let me think!
let me think!
let
me
think!!

I'm running out of escapes
running out of escapes!
running
out
of
escapes!!
Just let me fix one last mistake
one last mistake!
one
last
mistake!!

I'm running out of time
running out of time!
running
out
of
time!!
Just let me write one last line
one last line!
one
last
...!!

So little time, so much of it wasted...

Paris came back to troy
And saw Hector on the shore.
He told him he had found his love
But what he found was war.

He was an officer,
The lad from Bristol.
Went over the top,
With only a pistol.
One of my many ww1 inspired poems shown on my instagram account of the same name.

I sit here every evening
every night
Nothing comes to mind
No muse in sight
I have an ache inside
I can't describe
I type a few lines
Words won't rhyme
Failing each time
The sting inside
A low lit flame
Dwindling down to nothing
Why can't I find
What's burning inside
And type it all out
Confusing doubt
Not even sure what it's about
The words pour down the sink
Draining to never be seen
I'm stuck in between
The chaos unheard
And losing myself
Placing my unfinished words
Back on their shelf
Recently I've felt my passion dwindle.
I love writing, and maybe criticism is too much to ask for. I shouldn't need it. One single word can extinguish the flame I hold. Sadly.

My love I can be adaptable
I’ll mould and shape for you
Quite frankly only if you asked
I’ll do anything you want me to.

Without you Dark I am truly empty
The vacancy in my hearts always void
You pull at my strings like a puppet
But deep down I love being toyed.

Humour the times we share are hilarious
How on Earth can I live without you
Your the topping on top of my pizza
And the laces that tie up my shoe.

Oh Rhymes my flow when I’m with you
Is the easiest thing that I can do
Around your presence I’m never blue
I know you feel the same way too

Free Verse your always being you
And I like that your forever buoyant
Sometimes you leave me wondering though
Could there ever be a you and a me?

Random I think I adore you best
Aargh! Wait this is hard I can’t choose..
To win the hearts of all you skills
Is something I don’t want to lose

Joyful Joyful I adore thee
What’s it that beguiles me?
Lyrics for a hymn before ye
And skills of all ye poetry.

Of a brewing silence
and buried emotions
we’ve built a house
walled with doubts
our interior decor
layered with rancour
Scattered ornaments
cloak our armaments
Oft engaged in aphonic wars
We rack up our scores in
crystal-clear jars

“your arrhythmic rhymes, skinflint perspectives,
this is what I ask, what I need, what you can give,
what is in your possess, what you need to unburden,
making me better for making you lessened”

<>

she offers me this,
a way out to more,
a way in to lessen,
knock on heavens door,
a suggest tendered,
treaty of mutual arms-ments-to-be?

perhaps is my answer,
utter the skinflints perspective,
maybe it is no treat, this treaty,
but a rad road well traveled to
mutually assured destruction,
the intended embrace
of unintended consequences

I think of you very often
of what could have been
if I hadn’t left back then
We had a great between
I think of how it all began
and how it had to end
You are the only has-been
that would have been
more than it had been
were we given
more than a min
I can only imagine!
