As I watch the numbers on my clock run out
I wonder if I have done enough
Have i let go of my youthful lust
Have I been able to renew my spirit of the mind?

As I  anticipate more numbers on my clock
I wonder if I will have enough time
Time to travel to read to just explore
Will I have  time to say hello with love and goodbye with gratitude?

So far I have tried my best , I promise I have,
to do  everything expected of me ( by Grace)
Don't judge me just yet ,my time will come
And till that day lets anticipate growth
the paradox of growing old

Think about it,
think again,
think about everything that happened in the past,
think again because from there you will find a way with regards to how to get the things done in the present.

Think about the past as of now when in present,
think again about each and everything that happened in the past and while doing so make sure nothing remains unattended.

The best thing one can expect from the present is that nothing goes wrong with regards to everything that is being done in the present,
so give your best and don’t think of anything else,
but the best.

As of now the good thing about the best thing that happened in life is that the best thing happened over a period of time in life,
it’s then at that point in time it was realized that strange things do happen in life,  if everything is not looked upon into great detail.

Think about it,
think again,
think about everything going on in the mind at the present moment in time.

Once it’s confirmed that everything going on in the mind is settled,
it’s time then to move ahead with what to do next as of now while in the present.
Definitely good things happen in the life of an individual over a period of time,
but once they have happened,
they also bring along with them a sense of responsibility with regards to how to get the things done in the future.

For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.”
― Langston Hughes

A dangerous path towards failure

Do yourself a favour

Work on your behaviour

And be your own saviour

We can't always afford

Reckless behaviour

*especially at the cost of a life
~ there comes a point in life were we must all be held accountable for our actions and take charge of our responsibilities that doesn't mean we can't have fun along the way it just means have fun responsibly :)

I am a man with a simple dream
To be a good husband to my half
Build a home full of life and love
And carry a child of my own.

I know I will come to that point
When? And how will it be?
Will it be change into darkness?
I feel like my time is up.

I'm now lifting a world at my back
Like Atlas, but I'm too weak for that
I am too young to be here
Experiencing this whole nightmare.

She has another man in her life
Her behalf is now sick to death
Their child is too young to understand
While I'm a half human and a half
Artificial.

Rip my body and tear it into
A big pieces, part by part
Sell my sinful soul to the King
Then buy a child a dress to wear
For the day of my memorial.

I have my one and only will
Bury my heart under a plant
So I will help the plant to grow
To have their child something to eat.

Because you're at home

I tried to tell the truth but they smothered me,
No one wants the truth-- no one wants that responsibility.

I stay wary
of the winds and rain
which may sully my shoes.
I am not a creator of weather,
thus unavoidable, I walk forward.
Yet, the passing storm
is not responsible
for tying my laces,
that if I were to stumble,
trip and fall into agony,
it will be of my own doing.
dead bodies floating
in our oceans
from the Asian Pacific
to the Mediterranean

crumpled corpses lying
on our beaches
thousands drowned unknown

overcrowded detention centers
not unlike concentration camps
behind barbed wires
guarded by police and snarling dogs

nobody feels responsible

not  those who started wars
destroyed whole cities
made millions homeless
and into refugees

not those who take advantage
of the chaos for their own gain
abusing the names of their gods
or some ancient figurehead
to excuse their atrocities and greed

not those who live
in comfortable homes
and wish the desperate crowds
would just stay on the TV screen
and not come close

nor those who pretend
to be the guardians
of our great humanitarian heritage
but show no backbone
against nationalist fanatics

it is the shame of the world
to sit and talk and watch
and not do enough

those who turn away
the needy and homeless
could also
      quite suddenly
lose their homes

forced to rely
on the kindness of strangers

Dear Father
Just because I am a girl doesn't mean I'm not human like you
I am and special, maybe more special than you
so first stop calling me names because I'm subject to my emotions
first work and buy me the necessities, the sanitary pads
before arguments about whether I smell during my periods spring
first change the system, that which promotes my rights bring
first abandon alcohol for it's the reason for the violence and fights
first realise that I am my own person with my own dreams
for we all can't be doctors, we all can't be engineers,
we all can't flow with the streams
first realise I hope to be first female President of this pearl
first recognise that time and again my hair may need a little curl
first remind my Aunt to give me the *** education
after all educating me is educating a nation
first treat mother like a human and not a slave
first think like a man and act like a woman rather than a tsunami wave
first mind about how I'm relating with my school teacher
because now is the bridge that leads to my long awaited future
first help sort out the political climate, it is too hot
Help the country be what it should be instead of expecting me to be who I'm not
first tell the insurgents and the government to put down arms
for it seems they cannot see how terribly this war thing harms
they can't see I'm ***** and bearing sceptic wounds which may never scar
first tell the fat belly friend of yours that
when I'm through with my studies I'll afford my own car
first urge the concerned to put up good schools near
so that I won't have to ride this far in the dark filled with fear
first engage in advising my school to provide us with meals
it will mean you finally understand that hunger kills
first work your fingers to the bone, don't leave it for mother alone
to provide the privilege of waking to comfortable beddings at dawn
first start believing in me as you believe in my brothers
rather than wallow in the mistakes of the forefathers
first understand me before you start pointing fingers
first get me a treated mosquito net and shoes to escape the jiggers
first do your part and I promise I will do mine
first be a father & friend then, I know everything will be fine
my brother asked me to write him one entailing threats to Girl Child Education in Africa...I hope this works

Hear the pull of the trigger,
A silent shot.
Though you hear nothing, the damage is done:
The bleeding of your life,
The melting of scenery.
Your surroundings go numb,

I've filled the void with chaos.

You knew the bullet was in,
You knew I was there.
You never pulled the trigger but
Life is unfair.

Life will shoot me, and
I'll be gone.

Walk the lands with me begone,
For you can learn how to live
As I was.

How to live,
With everyone entering and leaving your life.
