on some days,
my feelings spill
over the rim of
the vessel that is my body,
so I compress them
until they're ready to burst.

then I relax and remind myself:
my feelings need space.
the people who have space
will reach into the vessel
and help you hold them
until everything is okay again.

He was lost
Time distance memory
He was cross
Darkness resistance remembering
He was him
Before the tide turned

The time has come again,
Of commemoration,
To the men who fought,
At their final destination.

Years and years ago,
Let out, was a vast strife,
And among that war,
A man who lost his life.

Remembering those soldiers,
Lines and lines of men,
Who dreamt of protecting,
Since they were merely ten.

They fell while serving,
But their dreams were met,
And on this solemn day,
We say, “Lest We Forget.”
The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a minute of silence is shared among Australians all over the country for Remembrance Day. Two years ago, I wrote a poem about Remembrance Day for a competition and decided to write another this year.

Descend into refraction before me, bewildered like a ******. Exist as a flunkey, and myopic.

Everything I’ve existed, all of a sudden lifted and sifted. Leaving residue not historic.

Originating from neglect of the forthcoming. All I’ve learned and would learn.

Dissolve from this.

I do not like this great dissolution, but I accept it, swallowing my actions too late.

So fall to pieces, and bring a reset of samsara.

Dissolute all I’ve known and would.

Only due to my ignorance.

I’ve brought destruction.

I deserve struggle.

As it falls away.

Into nothing.

I become.

Nothing.

I was.

But

Now

Am

Ø.

Time that's measured by forgetting you
Is something quite difficult to do.
For days can be years
And months can be seconds
From the day, out of my grip, you flew.

No
If I forget that you existed
would you leave my thoughts?
Probably, no.

Do you want me to suffer?
No, nor that I care.

Do you want me to remember?
No.

Oh,
sorry to bother you
I'll go.
Hard to fight the questions in my head.

Someone
Who
Never
Gives up

You deserve
The One
Who embraces
Your soul

You deserve
That One
Who
Keeps you
Priority

You deserve
The One
Who listens
Who replies
Who feels like home

And
The rest is
Upto you
