Sweet words, sour feel
Fine men, ill heart
Golden suits, rusty hearts
High end, low life

Tall structure, short span
Light skin, dark ways
Warm sweater, cold chest
Long lies, short lives
*really* early morning mood for a *really* short poem.

I'm a conservative liberal
anti abortion pro choice
a society free from guns with the right to bear arms
don't water my lawn just to take long showers
freedom of speech with censorship for children
we are all the same in a unique way
what can i say
I'm a conservative liberal
balanced between two opposites like riding a bike
too much to the left
or
too much to the right

He was silent and stunning
She was spirited like a spring
When they opposites attract
I think its natures trick
To balance the act

I have a huge crush on someone. Mostly I keep chattering and my Mr. Crush ***wink****keeps silence......he says I love to hear you (sshhh but I doubt, I think he has no choice...hahahaha....). I am still not sure why I am so smitten with him when I know he is an absolute contrast....(:(:(:
What’s in a word
That says far too long
Of the feelings
All a miss

Tells how the sun shines
On a day gloom
Or how loss resonates
The rays of a rainbow

But at times does it coincides
With the stages of life
Coincidence might be word
That gives all surrounding through.

It is irony that lasts a lifetime.
I came, you came.
I smiled, you grimaced.
I laughed, you scoffed.
I admired, you differed.
I loved, you rejected.
I cried, you boasted.
I stood, you cowered.
I smiled, you frowned.

There are people I miss.
I miss their touch and the physicality of it all.

However, now I have a profound peace
Of the presence of Baha’u’llah.
The Spirit of patience, of wisdom.
It pervades my heart
And I say to myself:
“How long will you sulk over your ex?”

I have less than I did when we were together:
In the physical.
However, I have more spirit in my heart now.
I’m stronger for putting up with your weakness,
Your vanity.

However, I see I have the same vain imaginations in me.
Will I ever fall for a spiritual person
Without needing her to be able to fulfill my chemical desires?

I want to throw away the possibility for another relationship
And cling to the idea of singleness.
But it is the incessant inclination to create offspring and secure love
That drives me crazy still.

Who will I meet?
I don’t want to desire another woman if my search will end without promise.
But I continue in my folly.

Alas, day by day my desire pulses
And it is still greeted with empty dreams.

I’m packed full with opposite dispositions
Subtle ones.

I progress towards the Maker
One dark bedroom at a time.

I need the sunsets,
purple and orange
and angry for having to leave.
I need the ocean,
blue and aqua
and enraged by a storm.
I need the wind,
swift and cool
and tearing trees from their roots.
I need the fire,
warm and comforting
and turning everything to ashes.
I need the land,
strong and sure,
and temperamental with its shaking.
I need the feeling,
of love and contentment
and lust and heat
and pain and strength.
Oh to want
both the anger
and the happiness,
the love
and the hate,
the softness
and the pain.
And to wish to want
naught more
than what you give me
But to always want more
than what i have.
The greif there is
in contradiction, and
the hurt there is
in not being enough.
But to want more
is to be human, and
it is in being human
that we love.
So i will take
what it is you give, and
hope and pray
i will want
naught more than you.
i was inspired by the saying "there are two sides to every coin". and it's true. you cannot love, which is a perfect thing, without being human and imperfect. and you cannot say you have loved if you do not love both the dark and the light in a person.
I love you a lot because
you are who I'm *not.
You've heard about the phrase opposites attract, right? I think this phrase, in many cases, is true.
