IN SEARCH OF THE LOST CHORD

i've been searching
all my life
for the lost note

there is a chord in the
cacophonistic chaos
which is my
existence
i simply miss

my otherwise
nimble hands simply
can't bring out
the magic
the music
the majestic
harmonies which
i hear in my mind
but are not translated
to my fingers

i believe it
is due to my assertion
that i was unloved as a child

i was not a planned
pregnancy
my mother fell
on her stomach and
i was a preemie

I was not touched
as an infant due to this
i was in an incubator

i was also
severely neglected as
an older child
due to my mother's
inability to cope
with two very small children
(I was born nearly one year after my sister)

I have also been
TARGETED
for twenty years by
by the
"CHURCH" of SCIENETICS
(name has been changed)

so if I am
slightly dark and
seemingly insane in
certain respects this is why

ONLY GOD CAN HELP ME

I've already learned
not to play my music
drunk or ******

but i am still
in search of the lost chord

The kid in the background
The one who doesn’t smile
Who goes mostly unnoticed
And has for quite awhile.
The kid in the background
Who stands there all alone.
Is the child an orphan
The baby nobody owns?

The one who is forgotten
When family gathers.
Is this the only child
With no father or mother?
And what of the brothers
And sisters to this kid.
Why do they ignore him?
Is it something that he did?

The kid in the background
The last one to get picked
In a neighborhood game.
Is it some king of mean trick?
Are his glasses the problem
Or some condition of skin?
What can be the excuse
For the sad state he is in?

The kid plays by himself
It seems he has to pretend
That he is having fun alone
And that he has a friend.
Are these children like birds
That pick on an injured creature?
Where are the parents here,
The adults, the teachers?

The kid in the background
Might be the brightest one
But how will we ever know
If he shines brighter in the sun
Unless we ask the questions
Of what brings this all about
That children on the playground
Want to leave this kid out?

I'm starting to feel like a dilapidated building; beat-up.

hey again you lovely sun.
my love and captivity
has begun.
immovable to your disposition,
I cannot get any closer.
immovable to your glare,
does my passion deem me a poser?

your dichotomy of warmth and incineration
to the cold soul you cause me to be.
you take me for granted
and many others fall to your gaze;
my love for you is in a daze;
your warmth carries me away.
needless to say,
I need you.

do I dare move to farther poles
in darkness cold,
just to satisfy my churning heartache
for your beauty?
the heat inside is anything but sinister
it's what makes you alive
in my eyes
your uncaring rays to fellow garçons
burn my retinas.

a star among myriads
you only matter to me.
you're all I need.
I am not special to her
I really want to be

Baby clothes
With baby toys
Doctor says
   It's a boy!

Baby clothes
Little shoes
So very happy
Gateful news

Baby drama
Full of love
A baby boy
They dreamed of

It's Bryan ?
That's my name?
But I was born?
what a shame

It's a girl
Jellyfish Nov 2014
She comes over for the night,
She seems to be alright.
I'm not sure if I like her yet,
But that doesn't seem to matter,
She's just that close to my sister.

She started to stay over on school nights,
Something just wasn't right.
Soon enough she never left,
I began to feel like I was being replaced.

I'm not trying to sound selfish,
And no I'm not jealous.
But I am confused,
Why are you telling me this unfortunate news?

She hasn't left for weeks.
I'm sick of being the subject of greed.
I want my family back.
Just tell me that she'll eventually leave.

I'm now starting to feel neglected.
I've been replaced in every way I had imagined.
But you don't seem to see it that way.
I don't think the girl is leaving any time soon.
For the lonely,
for the loveless,
for the forgotten and overlooked,
for the discarded and trodden on,
for the neglected,
for the ignored and mocked,
for societies weeds,
for circumstantial weeds.
For you outcasts are weeds
the flowers nobody wants,
but
weeds are resilient.
They persevere where others can not.
Often mistaken for weak, but no,
weeds are strong
and tough enough to break through tonnes of concrete
and metal.
Clever enough to find growth in places
others perish in.
Adaptable to every habitat and
brave enough to exist on barren wasteland.
Weeds need only the tiniest of a chance to flourish
For the unwanted,
for the unclaimed.
You are beautiful.
You are equal to every other flower.
You are the Charlock, the Buttercup, the Clover,
the Pinapple-May-**** and so much more.
Next time you see a **** by the roadside,
or peeking out from a crack in a wall,
or between paving slabs in a busy city,
or overgrown in a garden,
or weaving through rubble and debris,
take heart
lonely ones.
You are not worthless
You are magnificent.
I've always loved weeds and have been one for so long. We are many, mo cara, we belong

I love.
Plain and simple - I love.
I love fast.
I love hard.
I love deep.
I love everyone.
I love everything.
It's hard to find something that I don't love in one way or another.
I love the way I love so easily.
But one thing I can honestly say I don't love is the way I feel:
I don't feel loved.
I feel like I annoy people.
I feel like I anger people.
I feel neglected and unloved and alone.
I love.
But I need love.
